Sifnos Windmills

A mixed review I’m afraid. It’s a nice place but could be improved.
Pros:
Clean, comfy beds, nice pool, good proximity to town.
Cons:
The second bedroom in our two bedroom suite had wooden slat walls and no windows, so we had to leave the apartment for our children to go to sleep. The host seemed bored and would sit by the pool on her phone for most of the day. Breakfast was also the same each day with any cakes/pies heated from the freezer. The walk into the village at night was along a poorly lit/busy road.
In summary, nice but with some drawbacks.

Lovely place. Has everything you need. Breakfast is tasty. Brautiful views. Excellent. Less than 10 minute walk to village for restaurants, shop etc.

Such a cute and friendly place — only 5 apartments and really gorgeous. The view is second to none and the staff are all wonderful and can’t do enough for you. Maria makes a lethal Aperol Spritz! Easy walk down the hill into beautiful Artemenas where there are some lovely little tavernas. Make sure you go to the Yellow Bicycle for dessert!

Place is wonderful with breathtaking views on the Mediterranean, located on a calm road. Apartments are cosy, functional and quiet — with their own private terrace to take breakfast. Staff is really nice and helpful. Pool is very pleasant, overlooking the sea. Walking distance to small village of Artemonas, with very nice restaurants, brunches and pastry shops. Breakfast is served every morning with fresh orange juice and eggs. Could be even better with more options of local products like fresh yogurt and honey (instead of single-sized packages of butter and jams).

Great rooms, very clean, peaceful and tranquil. Easy walk to restaurants and nightlife. Christos (the guy in charge) is fantastic!

Beautiful boutique hotel near Artemonas — this is the only place we’ll ever want to stay when we come back to Sifnos!
The views from the property are incredible, breakfast fantastic, and the room spotless. The management and service were also great.

Astarte is THE place to stay in Sifnos. We couldn’t have asked for more. The location in Artemonas is perfect, probably the prettiest town on the island, stunning views, fantastic accommodation with everything you could ask for. What makes this place is the superb host Christos. When we arrived, I wondered up to the apartment above the one I booked to find I much preferred it (it was the one I thought I’d actually booked), without hesitation Christos said “it is free if you would like to switch, a complementary upgrade”. He said “he just wanted us to enjoy our vacation as much as possible! ”, how nice! He booked taxis for us, gave great recommendations, provided a very generous breakfast and was happy to help with anything we needed. By way of contrast we stayed at a well known hotel in Platys Gialos afterwards which although beautiful couldn’t have been more different in service. Highly recommend Astarte! Thanks Christos for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Astarte was the most incredible stay of our whole holidays! The place is absolutely beautiful, you feel like you are in heaven. The rooms are perfectly cozy, the view is breathless and Christos, the host, gives you amazing tips and makes you feel like you’re home. Plus, Christos prepares the best greek salads we’ve ever had! We can’t wait to come back!

Great amenities, awesome view and excellent service. Rooms are very well decorated with top quality furniture and very comfy mattresses. I will see you again next summer. Thanx for the great experience.
