I had the best time at this seaside resort! 🌊 The place is beautiful and so relaxing, but what really makes it special are the people who work there. Everyone is super kind, friendly, and always ready to help – they make you feel right at home.

Joy and her staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
Joy gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do, and arranged our taxis from the port of Sami when we arrived and to the Airport when it was time to leave.
We were able to walk to Trapezaki Beach and Agios Thomas Beach which both have amazing views.
You will not regret booking Villa Rosa!

A perfect holiday! A car is probably recommended at least for part of the holiday but the supermarket and good restaurants are all within walking distance if you are reasonably fit… there are some hills!
This is our second holiday at Villa Rosa. Sometimes returning back to somewhere where you have really enjoyed a previous holiday is not always to be recommended. But Villa Rosa is superb! Our second visit was just as good if not better than before!
The Accommodation is spotlessly clean. Comfortable and well just lovely. The maid who cleaned our room each day was excellent! The rooms are Modern and well appointed. Joy is constantly upgrading the accommodation, all of which is set within superb gardens!
The location is unbelievable! There are views over the sea to Zakinthos on one side and the mountains on the other! Trapazaki is a lovely understated unspoilt rural location with lovely nearby beaches and restaurants.
The Pool Area is immaculate and is kept spotlessly clean. The sun loungers are really comfortable and importantly there is none of that annoying reserving of sun beds! There are plenty!
The inclusive breakfasts are amazing! There is a wide choice to cover all tastes. All home cooked and to a very high quality!
Joys bistro also does lunches and snacks, again home cooked food to the highest quality and the portions are not for the faint-hearted (doggie bags are supplied and necessary especially with the club chicken sandwiches! ) and all at a very reasonable price.

We’ve just returned from a magical 10 days at Villa Rosa Apartments in Kefalonia, and I genuinely can’t recommend it enough. If you’re after stunning views, peace, and warm, thoughtful hospitality – this is your place.
The Views!
The views from Villa Rosa are something else entirely. From our balcony, we had a panoramic, unobstructed view of the Ionian Sea, with Zakynthos floating in the distance. We also had amazing views of Mount Ainos and the sun rising over it in the morning. We genuinely found ourselves rearranging plans just to be back on our terrace for the last hour of light as the stars appeared and town lights appeared on Zakynthos.
The pool area also shares the same view. You can see the sea, olive trees, and mountains all in one sweep. It felt far more like a high-end private villa than an apartment complex. The loungers are cushioned and comfy, there’s shade if you want it, and it’s never too busy – we often had it to ourselves when other guests went out exploring for the day.
Immaculate and Spotless.
The apartments were immaculately clean and truly spotless. We saw the housekeeping team daily, and they took so much care and pride in their work. Towels and bedding were fresh and soft, the bathroom spotless, and even the outdoor terrace was always spotless. It all added to the feeling of quiet luxury.

Villa Rosa is a real little Gem. From start to finish, your experience is priceless.
The staff from the owner Joy, restaurant staff Denis and Sophia, room service and gardener are unbelievably friendly and really make the holiday special. Communication from Joy from start to finish is excellent. She personally meets and greets you on arrival and always has time for you.
The accommodation is spotless and very comfortable. Villa 11 is highly recommended by us. The views from it overlook the coastline out toward Lourdas and from the 2nd aspect out toward Zante and the Ionian Sea, which we woke up to each morning. There is a supermarket close by, within 5 minutes by car and also restaurants.
A car, however, is recommended as Villa Rosa. Like many quiet places in Kefalonia is a little remote, but this is part of its attraction and appeal.
Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice.
Our only real criticism is that we would have liked to have seen the pool area open longer in the evening (7pm close), but this seems a fairly common experience everywhere these days.
Go there — you will not be disappointed.

Villa Rosa is an incredibly beautiful place to spend a tranquil, comfortable, relaxing holiday. Joy and her team made us feel so welcome and we already are planning when we can come back.
The villa was beautiful, very clean, comfortable, and felt like a second home to us. There was a real attention to detail to make guests feel as relaxed as possible. We loved exploring different parts of the island, and found the location very convenient with many great beaches and wonderful restaurants nearby.
It’s a pleasure to stay somewhere so beautiful, but even more when the people running it are so genuine, kind, and lovely to be around.
We’re very grateful to have discovered this gem and cannot wait to come back ❤️☀️

The owner, Joy, provides excellent friendly service. Joy and her staff have made the stay here absolutely fantastic. The rooms are well appointed and provide good value for money. As expected in Greece the one bedroom apartment has a two ring hob, kettle and toaster. The two bed apartments have a hob and oven. The views from the apartment are spectacular. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

If you’re thinking about booking a stay at Villa Rosa, don’t, just book it. To say the photographs don’t do it justice is an understatement, this place is truly paradise. If you look one way you experience magnificent vistas over the Ionian Sea and look another and you experience the majesty of the Kefalonian mountains… it’s simply stunning.
Then, there is Joy… wow what an incredible woman. In all my years of travel I’ve never met a more professional, kind and caring person in my life. From the moment we pulled into the driveway, Joy made us feel at home and like we were part of her wonderful family. She took us personally to our accommodation which was wonderful (again better than the pictures) and helped us to get well appointed with the area and the villa. Each day Joy greeted us at breakfast (which is to die for by the way) and would give us personal recommendations for places to eat or visit all over the island… all of which were incredible… we will back!

We had truly wonderful experience staying at the Villa Rosa apartments. All the staff are so exceptionally kind and generous and seeing to your every need that we had. Apartments are absolutely stunning and immaculately clean so is the Pool is so beautiful and the gardens are exceptionally beautiful! I would highly recommend anyone stay here, it’s extremely peaceful and quiet and the views are absolutely magnificent.

Beautiful apartments and the staff cannot do enough for you. Cleaners come in every day and change towels etc.

This place is beautiful. The grounds are immaculately kept and a real pleasure to be in — a quiet place to relax and unwind. Joy and all her team are amazing; helpful and kind. You are very well looked after when you come to Villa Rosa Apartments! The modern rooms are kept clean and today and beds made every day. It is a real gem and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Many people are returning guests which says a lot for Joy and her team. I will be back!

Spent 5 days here for my nieces wedding & I cannot praise this place enough! Absolutely beautiful setting, amazing food, Joy & her staff fantastic, attentive, friendly & kind. If you are thinking about visiting for any length of time, DO IT! I would certainly love to come back again…

What an absolutely stunning location overlooking the blue waters with Zakynthos in the distance! Villa Rosa is a super place to stay, the accommodation, the gardens and the pool area are kept immaculate and spotlessly clean under the watchful eye of Joy and her tireless team Sophia and Dennis.
The service we have received has been incredible, polite, helpful, very friendly and professional.
The accommodation is kept spotless by the daily interventions of the maid and is also well fitted out and comfortable.
One word about the breakfasts. Superb!
There is none of that tiresome reserving of sun beds…. There is absolutely no need!
This is a lovely quite area of beautiful Kefalonia. As yet unspoilt comprising of small villages with some lovely restaurants some of which are in walking distance but the walks are a bit hilly! We had a really lovely holiday here!

From the moment we arrived at Villa Rosa, Joy and the team ensured our stay was perfect. The people truly make the place, and their warm hospitality was the highlight of our visit.
The accommodation itself is a hidden gem, boasting fantastic panoramic sea views. We stayed in apartment 16, a recently refurbished one bedroomed ground floor apartment, the space exudes cleanliness and tranquility, making it the perfect peaceful retreat.
The pool area is a slice of paradise, complemented by fantastic service that caters to your every need. The food is exceptional, a testament to the culinary expertise that adds an extra layer of delight to the experience. We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was beautiful, we tried everything from the menu! I can honestly see why people travel from other places to eat here. Joy even went above and beyond to source an alternative food item for my husband when he left just one item of his breakfast on the first day!

Just returned from Villa Rosa and what a holiday! If you want rest & relaxation, being well looked after, fab food, great accommodation, great views, great service, the best sleep, well, look no further.
Joy and her team, Sophia, Dennis and everyone at Villa Rosa are the best. They are all so polite, happy to help and just a 'joy' to be around.

I do think you need a car as the area is very hilly and although there are more tavernas nearby (approx 1 mile) it is dark, hilly and no lighting.
Don't hesitate in booking as you wont regret it.

All rooms have a sea view and the gardens are beautiful. My appartment was well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean with good Wi-Fi. Joy and the team are friendly and attentive. Only 20 mins from the airport. Even without a hire car there are at least 3 nice restaurants in walking distance. St Thomas’ is lovely 25 min walk for an early morning swim. Lourdas is a good beach and a 10 minute taxi ride away. With a hire car you can easily explore the island. There is a good swimming pool and Joys Bistro serves breakfast and then food including lovely salads until 4pm. Bar is open until 8pm. Lots of regular visitors. The other reviews say it all.
