Very large room with plenty of storage, air con and ceiling fan. Huge and very comfy bed.

Friendly, helpful staff. This is also a social enterprise supporting women and children, so the money you spend here goes to that. There's a dressmaking facility, craft shop, communal dinners, and other events.

Breakfast included: communal table with pancakes, egg muffins, boiled eggs, homemade bread and tea/coffee.

Very chill nice and cozy cafe. I already planned my stay elsewhere, so I didn’t stay here, but only visited the cafe.
Not too modern or sharp white lights, just real ambient Ghanaian vibes and people. My tropical smoothie bowl was absolutely delicious and I will be back to try the other bowls.
As a non-Ghanaian I felt really comfortable here and at peace. I also bought a cute bracelet.

We loved this place! This is everything a hostel should be… they really get it! Be sure to get all your souvenirs here, you wont find anything nicer/cheaper. Thnk you Tumi for the delicious food, nice citytrip and fun souvenirs for home.

Stayed in Jan to March 2024. Peaceful and beautiful hostel. The queen room is perfect for privacy while getting to socialize with staff and other visitors at breakfast and dinner which were delicious every single time (I miss the mini banana pancakes and homemade chocolate spread everyday). Thank you again to the dedicated, lovely and friendly staff, including the kind owner for my stay🙏🏼🥰.

Truly amazing place. The private room is large and the bathroom is great. The food is great and an easy way to meet new people.

Went there for my Twi lessons. Lovely place, great ambiance, friendly people. If I would not live in the city most like would stay there when visiting Kumasi.

Also this is a perfect place to buy your souvenirs, they offer plenty of African fabric clothing and accessories. And of course, lastly this is a great place to meet fellow travellers.

The hostel has a very tranquil and calm atmosphere. It was lovely to sit down for breakfast and dinner and chat with the people we met at the hostel. The women in the workshop turned my batik into a very fetching T-shirt in no time at all. The only problem was that my family kept getting locked in the bathroom with no working handle!

It's a serene place for work and networking. The juice was great, but please stay away from the stir fry noodles — it's 👎.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tumi Hostel! The hospitality was amazing, and it felt like a peaceful oasis close to the lively city of Kumasi. The breakfast was fantastic, and the colorful terrace and little shop offering beautiful handmade clothes and other fun items made from a Kente-like fabric by the friendly women from the neighboring sewing studio. A must-visit when staying in Kumasi!

This hostel is such a lovely place! Great, welcoming and clean atmosphere! The staff is super friendly. The dorm rooms are really spacious. There is an artisan shop in the hostel's lobby that invites to buy hand-made clothes and accessory. I love the fact that the profit will go to the women empowerment project! Highly recommend staying at this hostel!

Spend a night in this hostel and everything was perfect. Mixed dorm for 149 cedis per night (with breakfast included), very nice and quiet room with fan and a big bathroom and shower you share with the other people in the dorm. The staff is great, always helpful and attentive.
The decoration and atmosphere of the place are really nice. Everyone is laidback and chill, really nice people.
Every evening they organize a communal dinner for 60 cedis, I thought it was a bit expensive but it was really a lot of good food, plus you share it with other people at the table which is nice.
The only thing I could say was not top was the breakfast, which was not super healthy. I would include some fruit options or yogurt.

TUMI is such a lovely place! I would recommend it to everyone, because you will easily feel at home, meet friendly staff and travellers, enjoy delicious food and in the meantime support women and children! It is a cozy, welcoming, beautiful place!

The dorm is very nice, spacious and cool, the bathroom even seems excessively large but that is not bothersome at all. Staff are friendly though they could provide slightly more information about how things like the breakfast works. Good price, really beautiful atmosphere, good location though the nearest trotro roads are a bit of a walk if you don't want to take a taxi, uber or tuktuk/pragya. They have wondwerful initiatives of women empowerment and plastic separation, sell locally produced items and are very lenient about arrival times and stay extentions.

Superb guest house and enterprise with excellent gift store selling beautiful goods handmade in the premises by the seamstress academy on site. Staying in the dormitory which is like my old boarding school😄 staff are lovely, very accommodating and helpful. Food is on point🫶🏾

I stayed at Tumi for 3 weeks while doing research in Kumasi and I could not recommend them enough! The rooms are kept very clean, the staff is very friendly, and they've cultivated a really nice community feel. There's also plenty of comfortable shared space to relax or work, and the hostel is overall very quiet in what is otherwise a very bustling city!
The food at Tumi is also fantastic. There is a general menu which includes familiar items like a falafel wraps and burger, and there's a family style Ghanaian meal served every night which I can't recommend highly enough. In my 3 weeks there, I also did not have any stomach issues.
I was staying in one of the double rooms, which did not have AC, but it did have two large fans and the room was on the shaded side of the building so it was always a comfortable temperature. I also had a large, hot shower with good water pressure which was a pleasant surprise.
Overall, I highly recommend Tumi if you're stopping through Kumasi and want a quiet but fun place to stay!

One of my favorite places so far. It’s a green and quite oasis in the heart of Kumasi. The staff is very friendly and all profits go into their own womenempowerment program. Everything is really clean, there are three strong fans in the dorm with comfy beds.
Also they offer a communal dinner and generally great food.
