We have redeemed a gift voucher for a short trip (2 nights) for two persons in the van of the Valk resort Linstow and booked two additional nights make the journey worthwhile. The first annoyance was that the voucher is not redeemable in the summer (mid-June to early September) and this was not indicated on the voucher. A double room on the first floor in one of the cottages has been assigned to us.
Check-in was friendly, however I would have liked more information (e. G. ). To the end at breakfast — hotel guests and holiday cottage guests are namely separately treated or restaurants). Instead of personal information, we received various brochures — been there, you could tell that one is no more than a in this huge resort number is.
Was positive, that you could park directly in front of the cottage, thus one saves the tugging of the baggage from the central parking lot of the hotel. Unfortunately, the room disappointed us at first sight. The equipment was not adequate for 4 stars and the price per night (€79). The bathroom is very small and the air vent doesn't work in our shower we had black mold and even hair from his predecessor. Furthermore one can turn up the shower only about a quarter — resulting in it, that it is almost impossible to wash the shampoo out of your hair. Environmental protection and water conservation are important to me and comprehensible, but in case it went much too far from €79 per night you must curb the water my opinion also. Also, the thermostat water temperature no 10sek held constant and the shower was leaking, so that then the bathroom floor was wet. Also the towels were dirty and we used our own better. All in all a great nuisance!
For breakfast: the A la carte room service was below average! We have breakfast shortly after 9 (breakfast) officially until 10:30 and had great difficulty in finding even a covered and non-polluted table. Then you had to wait long, one of the waiters has accustomed itself, to bring coffee to the table. By customer-friendliness unfortunately no trace! From 09:30, the waiter also with Coverslipping were busy for lunch. Dirty plates never cleared during breakfast.
We tried the buffet in the themed restaurants (Chinese, Italians, Argentines) one evening. Cost: Per person € 22 without drinks. For the price, the expectations were great and were absolutely disappointed. The only positive: There the service was very fast and very friendly. The food was a joke for the price! Pro restaurant up to 2 main dishes, with the Argentines even only one (dry roast, versalzenes Kartoffelpürree and mixed vegetables). We sure definitely not recommend us!
We were also in the "adventure pool" of the hotel. Overall quite well done, but with a very small pool, i. E. Swimming is not possible, but for family with children it is suitable. But also here a huge shortcoming: we (2 adults with very good Schwimmfähigkeiten) have used the hourly opened whitewater Canal and thereby significantly hurt us! I think this "slide", which consists of stone, almost for life-threatening for children.
Finally a few words on the situation: If you want peace, will find it in the environment. Should nevertheless find a better restaurant or want to do something outside of the resort, you must drive around Half an hour in the next larger drive cities. We can highly recommend bspw Waren (Müritz).
Overall we can not recommend unfortunately the resort.
