We had a room on the 10th floor and a magnificent view.
Unfortunately, the way to the swimming pool is a bit cumbersome, as the use of 2 different lifts is required, so we did not use it.
We're happy to come back.

Here we have experienced an unfriendly treatment in the service. Loose clothes prompted the staff to point out to us every time they placed orders, that it also costs something; the invoice was already presented to us during the meal, not recommended.

Very nice hotel. The staff (reception/restaurant/bar) was very friendly. From above you have an impressive view that will definitely be remembered. Great hotel in a great location!

Very old equipment and furniture, early 1980 Flair, everything is a bit scruffy, prices to high, food and service are ok.

Construction site in front of the hotel, noise from 7.00 a. M.
On the day of arrival was the last day of the Travemünde week, right in front of the hotel noise and music until 24.00 and then until morning noise by the dismantling of the stalls. Hotel could have pointed this out when booking. Doubly problematic because you had to close the window due to the noise, the hotel does not have air conditioning, it was unbearably warm, either you could not sleep from the noise outside or because of the warmth.
Staff, especially at the reception, often briefly connected, there were also exceptions, I was given a fan, otherwise I would have had to cancel the holiday on the 2nd day.
The location and the beach are top
I wouldn't book this hotel again.

Friendly staff, large superior rooms, delicious breakfast. Most of the guests was in 70+, therefore a quiet and nice place to stay. But, the hotel needs to be upgraded a whole lot.

It was admirable how attentive and calm the older and sometimes frail guests were served with and who were also happy to help them if necessary.
Rich but somewhat simple and not really of quality, was the sausage selection; but a great and fresh selection of cheese, bread, cereal, fruit etc. Everything your heart desires.
It was very nice that the guests with dog were given the opportunity to have breakfast in the anteroom of the breakfast room, together with their dog, and thus did not necessarily have to leave their dog in the room.

Great for social events, went to a Ball there.

Great hotel in the very best location. Unfortunately, the rooms are a bit renovated, so to speak, "old baked. " The windows are cloudy and would also need to be replaced. However, everything is super clean and the staff absolutely helpful and attentive.

I'm not satisfied with the hotel, I've seen lots of roaches.

Yes, it's been in the years. Upon entering the house, you feel transported back to a time when the guest was really still king. The staff are always very friendly. The view from the higher floors is phenomenal. The elevator to the restaurant above the clouds is impressively fast. Above the clouds you have another huge view. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired.

It's been a few years since I stayed at the Maritim Hotel in Travemünde, but I was quite satisfied at the time.
The rooms are beautifully bright and spacious.
The addiction was fantastic, from my room I could look at the beach and at the sea.
The beds and mattresses are very comfortable.
The breakfast was very rich and delicious, at breakfast you have a good view of the sea (you can watch the ships enter the harbour).
The pool was quite large and heated.
Only criticism: The bathroom.
The bathroom in my room was modernized, however, that bathroom of my friend did not (the tiles were most likely from the 1970s. )
That's not OK, for a 4 star hotel.
Otherwise is a very nice hotel, which you can recommend to others.

Due to the various construction measures in the (parking garage) and around the hotel a fair evaluation is only very limited possible. All in all, the hotel has been a bit of a year and needs urgent renovation. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and tries with a lot of dedication to make the existing faults bearable.

The location is really very nice. Our room was anything but beautiful.
It was mega old, outlet was loose and hung easily from the wall, the mini bar was dirty, unsightly and noisy, the closet smelled musty.
This is unacceptable for a house called "Maritim".
We expected better.
The bathroom and otherwise it was clean.
The breakfast in the room was plentiful and delicious.

Those who like the unrenovated 70s are in good hands in the Maritim Travemünde. In my room the furniture was partially damaged, it was pulled through the windows and the heating was noisy. In the morning there was no hot water to shower! The hotel in my opinion has a single preference and that is the view. Otherwise the hotel is no longer contemporary and you should avoid it better.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. That was a team. The location of the hotel is great. At breakfast the kitchen team was overloaded, the Omlett and fried eggs roasted. It was a very nice holiday in this hotel.

We felt veeery comfortable and would love to come back. It was all great. The staff was very nice in all areas. Great praise from us. The location of the hotel is also very nice. We stayed on the 12th floor and had a great view.

The access to the restaurant above the clouds is an imposition. The right elevator is hard to find. Parking garage is a construction site. Reception overtaxed. The Sunday brunch was good, so two more stars.

The dance floor in the Maritim is great. Unfortunately a little small for great events. But the room is well divided and there is always a great atmosphere…

Schönes Zimmer, zwar bisschen Renovierungsbedürftig aber trotzdem schön. Sehr Zentral in Travemünde. 10 Minuten zum Bahnhof und nur 3 Minuten zum Strand. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

The hotel is fantastically located. No matter from which room, a beautiful view is guaranteed. At breakfast you have the opportunity to observe the ferries at the time of your departure. For boat lovers like us the best start to the day. Those who do not place too much emphasis on the latest equipment of the rooms can feel very comfortable here. But seriously: who is already on holiday to spend the whole day in the room?

Today I have a membershipcard in paper. I have been waiting for two month for the plastic card. Maritim is a really nice hotel with a wonderful wiev. I have been a guest for more then 40 years and I still comeback. Do you need any more reasons.

The room was very clean and the breakfast was good. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately we had a failure of the dinner buffet, so we had to wait 3 hours for a dinner, but we were reimbursed for the cost of the drinks for the entire stay.
In summary: There are small shortcomings, but on the whole it is a good hotel.

I gave the Maritim only 4 stars, as the location and the hotel from the outside seems rather uninviting and because the prices for parking are enormous. Positively, it was very elegant from the inside and that the staff would be very friendly. The hall in which the event took place was pleasant. The event itself was great!

Great view from the top floor coffee. Even if you don't want to eat there, you can go up there and enjoy the view. On the first floor you can enjoy cocktails in the evening. Rather upscale price level. But pleasant atmosphere. Often with live music and dance. Audiences are mostly retired. From there you have a nice view of the trave and can observe the passing ferries.

I travel a lot and gladly and have rarely felt as comfortable in a hotel as the Maritim in Travemünde. I liked it so much that I booked the next stay on departure. Particularly noteworthy are the consistently very attentive and friendly staff, who feel very connected to the house and guests. Especially with a hotel chain a real rarity. The highly renovated spa area also surprised in a positive way. The fact that the room furnishings have partly come very old is made up for by the great view.

Great hotel in Top Location right on the beach of Travemünde.
I already know this hotel from childhood, but have now been there for the first time as a guest and am thrilled by the friendliness of the staff, the equipment and the great food that we enjoyed in the 3 days.
A small wehin drop is the construction of a new hotel complex right next to the Maritim, so the beautiful view of the Travemestnace is unfortunately installed. Nevertheless, I can recommend the Maritim Travemünde in good conscience, we felt very comfortable there.

Super cool and I was just wondering.

Price performance is right, something has come up in the years, halt year of the early 70s. Food very tasty, room spacious all in all we are satisfied.

A wonderful evening at the Hotel Maritim. A nice ambiance in the ballroom. An outstanding organizer, dance school Huber-Beuss. It is a pity that this event does not find any place in such a prestigious hotel. We loved it every year.

A classic. Of course, the tooth of the time already has a little gnawed, but for that one has a location that is unparalleled. The breakfast was plentiful and of outstanding quality! The staff is very competent and friendly!

Who believes, please, that these good reviews are genuine and a total of 4 stars were awarded. … I definitely don't! The hotel is completely outdated and is not nearly on today's standard. I can only speculate that most of the reviews come from the same old guests who simply settle down with the few because it was always so… Foundation's test would say… Predicate: Deficient.

A very good conveniences hotel which one looks at the age but it is with the friendliness of the staff
Well caught. Otherwise it would not always be so crowded. Even as regular guests you have to book long in advance if you would like to request rooms. Every time you visit you will meet guests who have been there. And satisfied. We have also visited 8 other Maritim hotels and what experienced in one we were almost alone for breakfast. Conclusion; Travemünde remains for us the NR1

In order to justify the "Maritim" price, the somewhat dusty ambiance should be reworked urgently. A bit chaotic at breakfast. Here, more than 2 tables would definitely provide a remedy. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

We were there only for lunch whilst visiting the beach. The food was ok nothing special but the view was superb. I found the menu super boring for the bechfront locatiob.

The hotel is heavily in need of renovation. The rooms have the charm of bygone times,
the Windows are from the inside (betw. Natt the discs) and the balcony has several older cobwebs at all this could use a "cleaning"! A table would be ' a measure…
The service is great and very attentive: my husband's birthday there a FL. Sparkling wine,
a fruit platter (incl. Plate, cutlery and napkins "good") and Niederegger marzipan's room! The surprise was great!
We will be back!

The kitchen offered Tartar meat that only under the saddle soft must be ridden unfortunately several times. It's really no longer requires to be. The cheese selection was good but unfortunately the view was not optimally — could be presented better.
Tea unfortunately weak — must see so coffee not everyone but we have found it so.

Evaluation refers to the excellent service of restaurant employees:
We (two adults) at least once wanted to treat us the lobster buffet on the 35th floor of the maritime building and had ordered according to a table. On arrival then first, the bad news: the buffet is WG. Were then invited a large event out, but we the Gala buffet in the main restaurant, and this includes drinks. We are (of course…), very impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.

Very nice hotel, great location, very friendly staff, clean room but:
the entrance up to the and in the breakfast room, the carpet is very badly laid many stumbling blocks and complete breakfast area provesorisch with tape glued primitive looks Seer (is not the value of the Hasuses)
Not enough staff not moving during the Früchstückszeiten clearing and wait for some time until it is served.
Outdated are the TV, which should be replaced.

It was a very relaxing and nice stay. We slept well and ate. The TV could be greater. The swimming pool is nice and reasonably large, the sauna relaxation area is disturbed unfortunately through the passage to draßen.
Especially we liked the free provision of bathrobes.
We come back safely once again.

Many rooms are in need of renovation and would need to be adapted to a contemporary, modern standard. The TV should be changed urgently equipment in the rooms. Dinner at the 35th floor was unfortunately not so good, it was cold and we had to wait often on "Supplies". W-lan reception was very poor. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially the restaurant manager has captured a place in our heart is with his willingness to help. The location of the hotel and the views are fantastic. We were guests of the third time and surely again come back.

My wife and I have given us in the Maritim very comfortable. The slight limitations questions to "Comfort" and "Room" of our rely in particular on that there is an idea (old) TV with a small picture in the room. This is no longer timely in our opinion for a hotel of this class. However, we keep coming back!
We have not answered the questions to the spa and the Guest program, because we have not carried out.

Top is the view of the room. The location of the hotel could not be better. Nevertheless, we have to mention a few small things.
After we in advance twice called to tell that we need no extra bed, one thing in the room. I had a bottle of sparkling wine in the room for my birthday. A very nice attention but a completely different name, stood on a map which makes the thing again unprofessional. I ordered ice to do so. This never arrived.
The TV is left very bad below next to the desk.
The selection of food at the dinner buffet is very nice and taste wonderful. The chefs at the buffet were very helpful and friendly, what we unfortunately at make have missed (but not all) service employees.

Only minor drawback is the same all the time music in the background. It's probably an endless belt.
Beautiful would be easy in today's modern times a local radio stations such as such as FSH, etc.
to run. Modern, current music is played there, to get information from the region and
Weather News are probably interested in all guests.

We are always happy, but:
-The bath shower are outdated, especially for older persons
-The Outlook is clouded by partially blind/not cleaned window
-The window door not working properly, also it moves through window and door
-The cleanliness leaves some to be desired (cobwebs behind the curtains)
-The balcony furniture is pathetic
-The room furniture look very "used"
-TV poorly positioned not more contemporary image quality
In the pub:
-the window tables are in onshore winds. Cold and train not to use (example: SA, 2.1.15)
-the draught problem is restricted in the Baltic Sea restaurant at the front of the window.

I booked this hotel for 2 nights with 2 other women. We were very pleased, it was all true. The food, we had buffet. It was super. Plenty of choice and everything tasted great. A beautiful and delicious dessert buffet breakfast was also very good staff very friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We are not driven with high expectation and, because in the review was often written, it was very noisy. I cannot confirm that. It's not super modern, but it has charm. A great view of the Baltic Sea. In the hotel, it was quiet. I can not assess sauna and swimming pool. Because we did not use it. So we will go again.

In the Café on the ground floor you will feel not welcome: the waiters give the feeling that one is rather annoying as a guest.

The Highlight of this Hotel is the food. I was five days there and the food was very tasty. The staff is very nice and accommodating. A part of the house seems to be modernized to be. The General condition I would had call'd need everything a new coat of paint, so only four stars. But it is still in the frame. To the Spa area I can't say anything. The "Cafe above the clouds" is a beautiful 70s Chic. The view from the eleventh floor is the Hammer! Located directly on the beach, it is a good destination for the beach holiday. The guests are to 90% of older gentlemen. I would be up again.

Service and staff very friendly! Unfortunately, we had to find since we had to arrive with the wheelchair, that, although a lot and well landscaped parking spaces by non-disabled guests were busy. (Have to do with a thick wallet? ) But the amount was an older Jaguar driver through the garage runs and scolds on the disabled, because he did not find this shield.
