Very nice staff it was all very nice.

So whoever reported negatively here was probably in another hotel.
Our suite was very clean and well equipped.
Staff as well as service were great.

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean. The ambience has gotten a bit old. The breakfast promised more than it could hold (the buffet is quite a mess of mediocre quality dishes). The parking spaces are very narrow. The hotel fulfilled its purpose for us of solid accommodation for one night, but we certainly do not come back to Kiel.

The hotel is located near the main train station, so travel by car is mandatory. The staff is very competent, nice and helpful. The rooms are modernly furnished and offer enough space for a relaxing stay.

Nice staff, room and dinner/wine. Drinks in the bar were good and breakfast was varied and good. The only drawback is that the rooms don't have air condition.

The rooms are big, pretty and clean. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast has plenty of options for 13, 5 € and was tasty. I would however like to give feedback about the noise. The walls are so thin, 50% of my stay, other guests woke me up. Their phone alarms or their steps. If that could be address the hotel would be magnificent. Good job however on addressing fast guest needs.

At first glance a beautiful hotel. However, every further glance reveals new flaws and weaknesses. As a frequent traveller, I have rarely seen a hotel with so many loose extensions, dirty corners and obvious damage. Mold in the joints, old dust, dried insects and dirty furniture. It is essential to do something about this. Too bad, actually it could be a nice hotel. Only the sauna in the basement is a joke. Three people and she's full. Far too narrow for me. However, the fitness area looked good.

I’m very sorry to give this hotel two stars, however they deserve it. The hotel is dirty and rundown. When I first arrived for my stay, I was given a tiny dark room on the ground floor right next to the breakfast room. That was fine — the room was cute. However upon deeper inspection, the room was extremely dirty. Black hairs and dirt all over the floor. I was schocked because it literally looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. I then proceeded to tell the receptionist, who didn’t even bother looking at the room but at least gave me a new room on a higher floor and muttered an apology. He didn’t seem to like me very much after that. The new room was huge (which I didn’t need, but appreciated the gesture nevertheless). It was also definitely cleaner than the first one but still not clean. It was also extremely run down with multiple broken items in the room. Thankfully, I was only there on a business trip for two nights, however I will never again stay in this hotel. After my trip I read other reviews and saw that many others complain about the cleanliness. I just don’t understand; surely improving your cleanliness and repairing a few items can’t cost you that much? And it would save your reputation! The rooms themselves would be fine they just bothered to clean and tighten a few screws.

Clean and comfortable rooms with a good breakfast (available at extra cost). Not far from the city centre with bus links close by. Parking is available at the hotel but costs extra.

Absolute full catastrophe. Although rooms are well furnished and large. Bathrooms are old, dusty, moldy, unkempt. Also the lobby, hallways and corridors. Mattresses are very bad. Back pain including reception responded immediately and put on the mattress a topper, which has retained the back pain somewhat. Dinner in the restaurant absolutely not recommended. This hotel is absolutely not recommended.

Achtung, das Hotel ist nicht mehr bei der Best Western Gruppe dabei. Es heißt jetzt Hotel Kiel by Golden Tulip. Aber super nette Mitarbeiter und schönes Frühstücksbuffet. Lage auch top, viel zu Fuß zu erreichen.

I really liked the stay here. The staff was great. Through the series way very friendly and relaxed. In the lobby there was coffee and tea to take away, this offer I found great. Breakfast was good; The selection was perfectly fine. But the coffee was really bad. Normal filter coffee in an old thermos – has tasted bitter and musty. A vending machine would be better. Moreover, the restaurant was completely closed on New Year's Eve. Not nice.
The room was clean, but badly needed for renovation. The floor was misplaced, had several finger width gaps between the wooden panels… In the chair the synthetic leather cover was completely broken crumble, some lamps did not go, the toilet flushing went hard, the shower cubicle was not tight.
The breakfast room and lobby looked appealing. The hallways to the rooms were sterile and bare, as in the hospital. The staff were very attentive. The TV or dog in the neighbouring room — you hear everything.
You feel welcome, but the house needs a renewal.

A good hotel really, a pity that when it goes out of step not can take advantage of more, because it really is not so expensive if you compare with the quality from the staff to the rooms, everything is huge, "big" from the rooms themselves to the splendid breakfast.

Beautiful bright and especially quiet room. A good Breakfast. Only the Wi-Fi is not, for the most part, you can live with. Like worth a visit.

Room Service is below the average Hotel quite good but not worth the price.

My room was clean and modern designed. The breakfast was surprisingly varied. Price performance at this hotel is perfectly fine.

The reception was very friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Our bathroom, however, could not score points. The joints are yellowed and sometimes really unsightly. The faucet was very calcification. I'm not coming here again. The price was OK though.

Good value for the price. Had a suite, unfortunately a table was missing and there were only 14 TV programs. Breakfast was top — all there, regional products and very good service. Reception staff friendly and helpful. At the one or other place was not worked properly during the last renovation — but only details.
Gladly again.

A star maybe just for the room that does not match the reviews here. It was probably employees who gave a good review. The staff are super rude. My car was damaged in the private parking lot, for a fat scratch I have to pay €8 fees. For the price was not even a camera installed and next to there were also public parking spaces. Hotel is pretty down for €144 you get to 100% a better room in a high quality hotel. Never again! After I agreed to the staff, they just wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible. Incompetence is a major priority here.

Hotel in itself is quite okay. We were able to go directly to the room, however we had hair from probably four different people in bed. The ventilation in the bathroom can be heard permanently. Shower door is broken and rust is all round. Parking spaces are actually enough there, but probably not enough for all rooms. The staff is very friendly. We did not booked breakfast, so this cannot be evaluated by us.

Good hotel mostly cheaper than others. Round about 1 km from the railway station.

Stayed in a huge family room, modern, clean and comfortable. A bit of noise from outside late at night so had to close the windows. No air conditioning so got a bit hot. Good breakfast but they were a bit slow to replenish items, perhaps this was because we arrived for breakfast towards the end of service.

Had a very nice, clean, renovated and really big room. But the hotel itself needs a renovation. Service could also be better: For checkin and checkout at normal times the front desk was not served and we had to wait until someone finally came. Location is quite noisy due to a big street.

We have at the BEST WESTERN hotel had a Christmas party. The food was quite alright, the operation friendly and drinks were always submitted. All in all a harmonious event.

We slept because our wedding at the best Western. The stay was great. We got a free upgrade to a junior suite. After we had checked in, a chilled bottle of sparkling wine in the room waiting for us, the room was super nice a decorated and mega friendly staff. I can recommend the hotel without!

Great hotel, only slow thing is Wi-Fi nights and parking should be free. Besides that it's great.

The joints in the bathroom were dirty, the vent was totally covered with Schmodder and the cleaners company is apparently not so exactly, otherwise this would not overlook the empty toilet paper roll under the toilet.
Also the room itself seemed a thoroughly cleaned, and the last wall painting should also been a while.
The door of the minibar was only on a hinge.

Schmuddeligste Best Western what I've ever seen. Such a dirty shower. In the joint totally black, the shower is very bad cleaned and even the bathroom. The left curtain in the bedroom was half torn down upon entry
The spare room, that we then received after complaint will look soon like in the bathroom. Smeared the fittings and full of calcium spatter. Showers and the barrel of the glass door was not cleaned.
Elevator: the doors and the walls very smudged and married in the emergency phone in the elevator you grease is before loud and barely touched the dirt in an emergency.
