Due to a family emergency I had to change my plans and could not find any hotels in Jena. My last minute rescue was Savina hotel right by the train station in Weimer as it'd be the most convenient option since I need to be in Jena every day by 8 am. After I made the booking with non refundable condition, one of the 2 dozens hotels I called called me back with a room. I talked to the staff and they were super duper understanding and agreed to let me cancel without charge.
If I have to travel to Weimer in the future, I would definitely try to make a reservation at Savina!
