Beautifully furnished hotel, unfortunately the unfriendly staff at the reception has pulled down the overall impression.
From the shower and faucet, the hot water comes boiling hot (risk of scalding)!

Great food and the waitress was very helpful.

This hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable with good food. It is somewhat dated, but to me that adds to its charm.

I am a supplier and in order not to jostle for my reckoning I had to do the uprising of this guest at the reception.
Where is the problem to be informed when checking in the payment options instead of complaining loudly after claiming performance over non-acceptance of Amex or invoice within 14 days!? The staff at the reception only act according to your requirements and they did so very quietly and professionally.

Update: Latest idea there you no longer take an American Express card and treat the customer/guest like a preller, threatening to police. Here you can only guess in such a way not to stay overnight. Totally overpriced for a hotel that would have earned at best only two stars with much good will. Unfriendly staff at reception who try to charge neither booked nor consumed breakfast. The furniture has some of their best time behind them, the rooms are noisy, tiny, the bathroom is just so tiny, it stinks of mothballs. On some days there is no restaurant, no bar just nothing. Then the word hotel is not right, it is a bed and breakfast. Room small and with a lot of good will three stars. Unfortunately in Meiningen no alternative. The breakfast buffet is mediocre and also totally overpriced, bad for the business traveller.

Too expensive and I found something in my food altogether with 2 hairs and when I asked for the bill the I've seen that the service charge is already included it was 18€ exactly so I didn't want to give any tips because of that thing in my food and so I gave 20€ and the waiter asked if it's okay like this (he wants the tips) I said 18 but he probably didn't hear so I asked again if it's okay like this or 19? So I just give him 1 euro. Not a good food. Definately not eating here again.

A great house with history and charm. Spacious rooms, historic ambience. Very friendly, attentive and attentive staff with a view for detail and a sense of what matters. The food as part of the theatre arrangement was fantastic.

A good middle class hotel with a pleasant restaurant (a postcard) and an imposing wine list.

The rooms are a bit older but all very clean and decorated with style. Few parking spaces at the hotel. The food was sensational. We'll be back!

The hotel is located on a busy street, no window can be open to the side, otherwise you can hear the noise. Hotel as the rooms are generously through the high rooms, the facilities but also modest and from days past. No free water in the room! The House has assigned his No 4 stars but not more than 3 How because there is not even a sauna! There is no direct access to the hotel's back entrance from the parking lot, walk with your luggage around the House. At least parking is free of charge. The food in the Kutscherstube restaurant was mediocre.
Overpriced breakfast €12, since including industrial cheese and a fresh orange juice should cost 6.50 euros extra, outrageous! The coffee was undrinkable for me.
Overpriced for the area, and with the services in the overall performance and therefore only conditionally recommended!

The hotel is nice with an upper standard. The room was clean and with very nice furniture, the bathroom was clean but the installation could be newer.

Good day, we have the 8.1.2016 stayed. Nice double room with a small balcony. Very friendly staff, great Breakfast. A really warm bath, which in many Hotels is not the case. When we returned to Meiningen to stay, then guaranteed there again For our dog it was perfect, with the Park opposite. HGS GmbH Königsbronner Str. 48 89520 Heidenheim Ralf Kempe, and Biljana Lazic.

My husband and I were in the ambience of the hotel excited. Stylish, high quality facilities, very attentive staff. The Restaurant I can only recommend: Very good food, lovingly done. The short distance to the Theater and to the old town. A beautiful gifts were chocolates from the hotel's own pastry shop. All in all, the Saxonian yard for me a secret. It seemed to me almost like a journey into another world: Somehow you dive into a stately time and still enjoy the benefits of today.
