We were guests for one night at the Rennsteig run and were very positively impressed. Welcomed by a loving ambience and very sympathetic guests. We immediately felt welcome and very comfortable. It's a pity that we only booked the one night, we are very happy to come back for a little longer. Thank you for the great time 😊🙏🏼🍀

The guest room, which was redesigned a few years ago, is the perfect symbiosis of design (sense and form) and Thuringian craftsmanship. If you want to understand the spirit of the Rennsteig, you should visit the Green Tree. The landlords then ensure with family care and modern/traditional interpretation of the Thuringian kitchen classics anyway, that one does not just stay here once.

Unfortunately no possibility to admit minus stars. Food was not good and rarely experienced such an unfriendly thing.

The service was hard to beat in audacity. Unfriendly, annoyed, you spoke. When asked about the bill, she spent 10 minutes dealing with less urgent activities. I work in the gastronomy myself and would NEVER deal with my guests like this. Not recommended. But the burger was okay.

Was here with my 4 Mates on our annual motorcycle tour, Arrival Thursday, departure Saturday, so 2 Nights "Accommodation. Each had a nice and spacious Single Room, some with seemingly freshly renovated Bathrooms. Beds etc. All top. We were also kindly offered a Garage for the Machines. The Food also so good, bourgeois Cuisine at reasonable Prices. Unfortunately, the Hospitality Left something (too much) to be desired. Even with a lot of Humor on our Side, some Actions towards us and also towards the other Guests were difficult to understand. Maybe just caught a bad Days (or two or three), but unfortunately we didn't feel really comfortable. It's a pity, because otherwise that would have been smooth 5 Stars.

Dinner in the Dark is highly recommended. You don't see the hand in front of your eyes, but you focus all the more on the taste. Waitress Berit is an absolute star in the service sky. We'll be back.

For our Christmas Party we had chosen the Hotel "green Tree, " as you heard many pleasant Statements about it. At first Glance, it also seemed very promising. But our Promise, through an unkind and ill-tempered Hostess and unfortunately only mediocre Food, was broken. We were all (about 20 People) very disappointed. In the End, she thought we had been embarrassed as we were probably laughing too much and Having fun. A somewhat incongruous Comment was also Made about our foreign Colleagues. Unfortunately, I have to say once and never again.

We stayed here for Dinner in the Dark, it was very nice and is highly recommended. The Hotel is located on a Main Street but the Friendliness and the very beautiful Guest room make this Markel away again and the noises were not so bad. Even I, who need absolute Rest to sleep, could easily fall asleep. Since we spent a Weekend in the "Green Tree, " we tested the Kitchen of the House the Evening before Dinner in the Dark and what can I say I am thrilled. Price and Quality are just top. For a long time I have been getting a Rump Steak as I ordered it to be rare, the Cook understands his Craft. We will definitely visit the "Green Tree" again.

The welcome greeting was a lot cold from the landlady's side. After 3 hours of driving and rainy weather not very pleasant at a starting weekend getaway. Cordiality is something else. But we had to find, to our surprise, that many service providers in the Thuringian Forest missed the cordiality.
The room was large enough, the beds could sleep well. Only the missing towels in the size 50x100cm clouded the washing experience.
Breakfast was served at the table and was sufficient for a 3 star hotel, upon request was received. Clean and tidy it was also.
We had another evening booked in the Fox. Our "Waiter" ultimately contributed significantly to the fact that we had an eventful evening while eating in the dark. The 3-course menu had a normal level.
For all-day excursionists who take it with the warmth not so important in any case recommended, also a dinner in the dark we recommend further.

We, a six-member Motorradgruppe, were 4 days in the Hotel. We were from the Inhaberehepaar kindly received and were able to get our motorcycles in the same Garage. The Breakfast was super and dinner there were delicious dishes from the card. The Service was great and the price-performance ratio is right. The Hotel we can gladly recommend. The Region is ideal for a long Motorradwochenende suitable. Good curvy roads with little traffic and a beautiful landscape.

We have now already three Times here for dinner and it was always great. Food super tasty, service very friendly, great ambiance, and fair prices. We will come back!

We experienced here a great mountain bike weekend, which is exactly tailored to our needs. In spite of initial skepticism we took on eating in the dark restaurant part. An interesting experience, we don't want to miss. In addition to the delicious food, particularly for the many insights, the us, the blind waiter in his daily life, granted, is interesting.
