A great getaway stay for some quiet in the mountain forest. It was full of snow and fog when we stayed there but even then, we could see that it would be beautiful in summer. It's romantic in its rustic way. Lobby decor is very welcoming and feels like home. Room was clean (we had 2 beds + 1) and came with toiletries (no toothbrush) and clean sheets and towels for 3. More than enough storage wardrobe space for belongings and shoes. The rooms also come with a long shared balcony, so I imagine spring and summer, it is really nice staying here.
Fewer stars for location because it won't be very accessible to restaurants nearby for elderly/wheelchair-bound visitors. Need to walk out to the main street, along the small footpath and slightly uphill — for these groups, I recommend driving.
The hotel restaurant was closed for dinner during our stay, so some planning for activities was needed. Not a big problem for us but if traveling with elderly or planning a day indoors, check with hotel for restaurant dinner availability before booking.
All in all, a lovely stay and I would love to try it out in summer :)
