Have spent a nice time with the whole family. Rooms nice, cozy and large. At the breakfast buffet everything was available… What was not available, because of corona, hygiene, distance etc, etc. Had to be ordered to the table! ️But the "instructions" was on every table and that was okay The service staff had quite nice to do…, had arrived with 14 people, one had to wait for one or the other, but despite all this thank you for the nice services and the service! ️! ️! ️☀️! ️

During our stay everything was perfect. Our high expectations were almost exceeded. Cozy rooms, very nice service and sensational (! ) to eat. We would like to give 6 out of 5 stars. Barbara and Jürgen Zimmer.

I have been a satisfied guest at this hotel for 23 years. It is one of the best in Thuringia and the kitchen is always there for a surprise. An absolute recommendation for hikers and business guests.

Unfortunately, the City doesn't make up that much, but the Hotel can't do anything for that.

Friendly and helpful staff. From the boss to the caretaker. Excellent cuisine. Tasty and plentiful. Cleanliness without error and rebuke. Simply relaxing.

I was really surprised. The room to the courtyard with glazed balcony room was the blast. The whole is a mix of quaint coziness, modern elements and a bit of art. The food was really top!
Clearly you could swing the brush at one or the other corner or better adjust the doors to the rooms (slots), but these are little things.
The staff is also very friendly and competent!

Top food, room tidy. Rooms interesting, staff very nice. However, the bar closes early! The last drink went out shortly after 23:00 pm, because supposedly the cashier is too. Had the impression the staff wanted to go home. What a pity!

A hotel already more than 100 years old with a tasteful ambience and a friendly person. A star deducted due to traffic noise and a very small toilet.

Highly recommended I spent a night there and ate at the restaurant 2 times. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Also the rooms are great. Beautifully decorated and a great bed. Generally the service of the offers is first class. I'll be back.

We have been allowed to enjoy a 4-course candle-lit menu in the restaurant of the slate court. What a great gift that was!
We sat in a niche of the restaurant and were thus quite undisturbed. The service was still within reach and often inquired about us. We had to accompany each course with a wine recommendation. :)
First we received a basket with various (apparently home baked) bread and homemade paprika-olive butter. This alone has already inspired me — very tasty!
There followed a greeting from the kitchen, where I can no longer accurately reflect what this was all about. A pie with wild meat and various (berry) jelly. In any case, tasty too. :)
Then it started with the first gear at all. They were different varieties of fish with zucchini and lime. The salmon was House pickled and especially great.
It was followed by a chestnut soup (chestnuts) with beef fillet strips. I didn't know that kind of soup until then. The taste, however, was great — a little sweet and very fitting. The fillet strips were excellently fried and brought a bit of Bratensud with them — perfect.
The main course was prepared in two different ways. Once fried as a "classic" steak medium and once prepared like a Sunday roast. The meat was absolutely the hammer. Super tender, not at all stringy or similar and great spiced. For this purpose, sauces were served in separate bowls. The encampments were also excellent.

It is a beloved family tradition to come here for brunch on the 26th of December and I have to say it never disappoints. The brunch is a little lunch heavy but with all the fantastic Christmas themed options available I didn't mind. They offer classic Thuringian dishes such as potato dumplings and roasted goose with red cabbage but also fish and quinoa. The whole Hotel is decorated for Christmas and there is even a pianist playing Christmas songs. Christmas song singing is strongly encouraged. No Grinches allowed ;)

So the kitchen looking for his same, I can only recommend. Rooms are okay but a bit long in the tooth.

We had a family celebration, preparation is very individual, all wishes, perfect execution, excellent cuisine (Gault Millau cap! ) the price performance ratio is moderate, the same nice staff! Rooms were with a lot of attention to Detail, A very recommendable address of a family-run, creative feel.

Double room very spacious, everything is clean, staff is nice and courteous. Food (especially the dumplings) very well prepared.

One of the most beautiful Hotels in Germany. Service warm and still pleasantly reserved, here you can really let your mind wander. The food is tasty and exelent done. Here, the guest will be really Fun, we will come back again.
