Very tasty food, very rich breakfast buffet, friendly staff, large rooms, I had a bathtub.

Very good transport links nice service me to rooms were very clean and tidy with the equipment of the rooms I have also been very satisfied. The only shortcoming is the surrounding area around where you feel a little uncomfortable but for that the hotel can't do anything but the insolvent city of Gera.

Very bad 4 star hotel. Unclean, habitual and poor service. Air conditioning was not switched on in the restaurant at about 30 degrees room temperature. Restaurant was not opened on Sunday 19.08.2018 because a waiter did not come. Staff rude and unprofessional. Absolutely not recommended. Grotto bad.

Nice hotel with excellent staff. Good breakfast. The room was quite small but fine, unfortunately our bathroom didn't feel fresh — broken floor tiles and a stinky shower curtain.

Let me say: well.
We had booked an arrangement with dinner and breakfast. Both were not really good and the quality also left something to be desired. The staff tried hard but at times seemed rather unloving.
The location was ok. Unfortunately, Gera doesn't really offer much.

Hotel is ok. Older furniture but clean. Food in the restaurant partially delicious or normal average. Come on top of what you order. Breakfast great. Great choice and abundant offer. The in-house parking lot on day 6, — € costs me not so great. The staff is always very friendly in all places and with wishes, just inquire. Wellness, sauna, fitness all there. I haven't seen, though. Has everything a hotel needs. I would book back at the Royal Inn on my own because of the friendly staff.

Nice little hotel. In old-fashioned classic silent. Rooms are clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet could be a bit richer. Guests can relax in the sauna. Bathrobes available for a fee. Environment is not particularly inviting. Centre is within walking distance. Recommend to visit the Gerar den.

Visually a nice hotel, staff is very nice. Room I feel is a little cramped. It's easy enough to sleep. Otherwise useful. Prices are in the normal range.

Very expensive breakfast ‼ ️ staff does not replenish the buffet in a timely manner, is rather busy clearing the tables. The rooms are outdated. The bathroom has more defects like healing tiles and has a shower tub in which one is only hard to clean and comes out with great risk. The parking situation is disastrous and the hotel also requires a further 6, 00 €/day. But what's the worst thing about a feedback is not responding.

Booked for 2 days, departure after one day.
The TV did not go, the shower head did not go, the bathroom was full of hair, the service in the restaurant, despite a manageable clientele, was eternally needed.
In short, you can only "recommend" the hotel if you really only want to sleep there.

Downtown proximity, but a little far to walk. Good room and priced good! All very friendly and also clean. Parking in the courtyard is possible for a small fee. For a short stop in Gera the ideal accommodation option. Breakfast also all available and enough choice offered.

For a 4-star hotel, however, as you are used to in Germany, I am unfortunately lacking in quality… the beds M. E. Uncomfortable/hard and with horrible pillows, wardrobe rattles when passing, different lamps in the room, light switch without function, Toilet Seat bent with (fire) bubbles and otherwise in the bathroom much of cheap plastic. I simply lack the value that the foyer radiates in the hotel.

I'm torn back and forth. We needed a room in the short term and that worked out. The staff is very friendly and gives themselves trouble. Cleanliness was OK, I as allergy sufferers are very sensitive.
The hotel was definitely the hammer but now you see that it would have to be urgently overhauled. The dinner in the restaurant was underground, maybe the cook also had a very bad day or holiday. The breakfast was in principle OK, but actually I would have expected a bit more at the category and price. Parking around the hotel is difficult and the hotel car park I find clearly too expensive. The surroundings are not very nice, but no one can do that at the hotel.
So it is quite okay and the hotel would certainly do a lot more guests, but from the point of view of a guest I would say that in the surrounding area for the same money can be quite a bit better.

Actually, the hotel is fine, but something is missing for the fifth star. Maybe it's opening the punch cards to the room door, but maybe it's also the too frequent use of dill in the kitchen for my taste that prevent me from giving a 5th star.
Apart from that, however, the rooms are completely okay.

For a 4 star hotel, not good! Different lamps, TV set incorrectly, missing covers on the remote control! The toilet seat rebuild, all plastic and scratched. No central light for the room. Dirt on the walls, filthy rugs, tattered sofas in the public areas. And so on…
All in all, where did they get the stars in Germany?
No more!

I often stay at the Royal Inn in Gera. The staff is very nice and friendly. The breakfast is very good and varied. The rooms are clean and functional. The beds are very comfortable and cozy.

We stayed for a ' romantic weekend ' at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the menus for dinner were also average good. Breakfast was first class. The room was clean and cozy. Can I recommend it to anyone.

Very friendly staff, very good Service. The rooms are clean and tidy. A very rich Breakfast and the two evening meals were very very tasty. Only to recommend.

Very good quality for the price.

A pleasant stay. That Wi-Fi is still not free, I find it weak, as we highly recommend the motel one. 26 degrees outside, air conditioning broken and comforters. Alternative was a spring cover on demand, would have liked to seasons like more customization.
Breakfast was varied and delicious. Otherwise, the Interior is no longer the newest, but perfectly acceptable.

Super dinner! Praise to the kitchen! The black chef came in person to inquire about the quality of the food! Let's find great! Thanks again to this kitchen! Happy again, the next wedding day is sure to come.

4 stars mainly based on price and value. As a 4 Star hotel it means you get the privilege to pay for Internet $10, parking $7, breakfast $11, and sauna. The room has ac, but it doesn't work well in either of our two rooms. Even cool outside it couldn't cool our rooms after 2 hours. Eventually gave up and opened windows, but fair amount of noise from the street and bugs because no screens on Windows. Our room was missing the fridge. Beds are on the firm side. Bathrooms are nicely renovated with lots of counter space. The staff was polite and spoke a little bit of English. Was enough to get by. They were patient and never acted irritated when dealing with our language issues. Area around the hotel is a mixture of run down abandon buildings and newly renovated structures.

Nice, quiet hotel. Breakfast and attached restaurant is recommended. Problem is the environment. When you're mobile, everything is good. But otherwise, the dog is buried here.

Wonderful. Cheap, nice and happy friendly staff. Free parking. And while you are in Gera, don't forget to try their beer — Köstritzer. Just unbelivible.
