Hotel Friesen

Yes, the hotel offers a large, free parking lot. An underground garage is also available for guests.

Most guests describe the staff as very friendly, attentive, tactful, and helpful. Employees demonstrate flexibility when organizing celebrations and respond quickly to requests. Nevertheless, there has been occasional negative feedback: one guest reported an encounter with a rude waiter who rolled his eyes when a drink was reordered and refused to replace a dirty cup, getting into an argument with the customer.

Breakfast at the hotel is rated very highly by guests, described as excellent, plentiful, and varied. Many highlight the wonderful atmosphere during breakfast and praise the quality of the coffee. Guests emphasize that the standard of the breakfast exceeds expectations for a typical three-star hotel.

The restaurant serves high-quality traditional German and hearty home-style cuisine with seasonal and regional specialties. Guests praise the diverse menu, the taste of the dishes (particularly recommending the steaks, salmon, and vanilla ice cream), and the appealing presentation. A good selection of meals is available for children. Portion sizes are generally considered sufficient, although one guest felt they were a bit small. As a complimentary after-meal gesture, a signature house schnapps is sometimes served (with a non-alcoholic option for children).

Rooms are described as very clean, cozy, spacious, and well-furnished, including the bathrooms. Guests note the presence of soft colored towels and overall neatness. Mentioned drawbacks include sloping ceilings in some rooms, which may be inconvenient for guests taller than 170 cm, as well as insufficiently warm room heating.

Reviews mention that rooms can sometimes be insufficiently warm, and guests would appreciate management paying more attention to the heating system.

The hotel is well-suited for families with children: the staff is welcoming to young ones, and the restaurant provides a baby changing station with all necessary supplies. The property is also fully equipped for guests with disabilities, allowing wheelchair users to move around the premises freely without restrictions.

Dogs are allowed at the hotel. Pet owners note the welcoming attitude but suggest that management introduce an orientation guide for the grounds (such as rules for walking dogs on the lawns and the location of waste bins), and also recommend providing protective bed covers.
