Pub and reception open from 8 to after midnight. Clean very nicely painted rooms and bathrooms. Great location. Kitchen.

It was a nice stay, in the middle of the New Town, nice staff and a nice room with balcony. Also a delicious breakfast.

Dont reserve a room here! I reserved, I canceled mine reservation 1 day before coming and THEY TOOK ALL MONEY for all nights from mine credit card and I even didn't slept there! And mine rating is absolutely fare! You didn't lose nothing, I have paid everithyng! I have slept in a lot of hostels, sometimes I canceled but they never charged me a full amount of all nights like you! They charged me only the depozit, which is normal!

The staff is very friendly and the prices are really fine! The rooms are also okay. I like to come back :) With a nice greeting to Dresden, Nicole.

Really loved this hostel, very welcoming vibe from the moment I arrived. Hostel staff really friendly (esp. Claudia thanks for your hospitality). Bar downstairs is pretty relaxed, you can sit outside. They also had a live DJ set one night — all in all I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for inexpensive accommodation in Dresden. Great place to meet people with a warm & welcoming atmosphere.

Nice staff, our dorm room was quite big, everything was clean and it's cool that every floor has separated entrance, which makes you feel more safe. Only the extra fee for sheets still doesn't make much sense to me. You're paying for accommodation and yet you have to pay extra money for this.

Had a great stay at this hostel. Very clean with plenty of showers and toilets. Outlets at each bed and big lockers in the dorms. Staff were always easy to find and very helpful. Kitchen was well stocked and had lots of labels for food. Location was nice, an easy walk into the city.

Very interesting but a little pricey hostel! We got a room with a balcony, which can hardly fit two people and will not be able to move! Beds in room 7. In the morning breakfast buffet — take what you want (sweet for 5 euros and 50 cents), very kind staff, beds clean, but under the beds and on the shelves a lot of dust (attention allergy! ). The shower and toilet are not in the room, but on the floor. Two women's separate toilets, two men's. Shower on 4 booths and also divided into women's and men '4 cabs in girls and 4 booths in boys). There are two hairdryers in the soul. Wai fai in the room (second floor) does not catch, you need to go down to the hall and sit there. At the reception give a map of the city, show interesting places and offer to celebrate the liked! There are a lot of shops near the Hostel and it is very convenient, you can easily drive to museums and back!

Room for two 63 euros, 3 euros parking for the day. Simple, no frills. The room is small and clean, the bedding and towels are clean, the reception has Anglo and Russian speaking staff. For budget travelers it will be quite good. In general, for hostels, score 4 — just right.

The place is fine. It's quiet and clean!
Only bad Loo is that you have to climb up stairs and we have a baby, and with the cart it was quite uncomfortable to climb.

The hostel is located in the Noidstate district. All the iconic places can be reached on foot. There are 11 trams to the central station. Near the hostel is full of cafes, bars and shops, which start to work very early, so if you do not have time for breakfast, you can always have a snack. The rooms are spacious and the ceilings are high. Toilets and showers are always clean. A well-equipped kitchen with a cozy dining room, you can also have tea or coffee next to the reception, where breakfast is served in the morning.
But the main thing-it's girls-employees who always come to the rescue, tell how to get there, print tickets, explain everything.

5-room apartment on 1 floor. The colors on the wall are horrible. Beds are very unstable. W-lan reception is very bad.

Fair prices for Hin Tonic and Co. Nice service. Definitely hipster stylish!

Staff is funny and rather unfriendly.
In the room it was disgusting stunk and the beds were not clean but at least the linens. You'd better not look too closely… Otherwise, if party is taking place downstairs, sleeping is not possible. Would not recommend it, preferably somewhere where no bar is underneath.

Nice it was wiedermal. The whole house is cozy and welcoming, the beds comfortable and cuddly, the breakfast buffet unbelievable.

The Mondpalast Hostel in Dresden is an excellent place to stay and I would recommend it most highly. All of the staff are extremely friendly and the rooms and facilities are always very clean and tidy. Mondpalast is located in a perfect location, close to many nice restaurants, bars, and is just a 2 min walk from tram stop Gorlitz which is just a 10-15 min tram ride to the city centre. The hostel is also very affordable compared to other hostels in Dresden and this makes it a perfect place to stay.

Noise protection headphones recommended. Otherwise quite good!

The hostel has a very good location in the hip Louisenstrasse, where there are many bars and cafes. The room was adequate but nothing special — comparable hostel. Still recommended for groups.

Fair price for decent room and bathroom. Kitchen is spacious and equipped with everything you need. Very satisfied.
Only negative point: breakfast for 7 euros is definitely too expensive…

This place was phenomenal. The vibe is awesome, artistic design on the rooms. Everything was clean, everyone was friendly, and the neighborhood is incredible. I'll be back!

We were at the Hostel Mondpalast for 2 nights and it was a great experience! They are very helpful and the rooms and bathrooms are nice. There is also a kitchen that you can use to cook and feel like you're at home (and that way you don't spend too much either). The location is perfect in the Neustadt, with lots of bars and restaurants to go to and a perfect ambience.

The place is good. Situated in a new Dresden. Little bit noisy.

I spent two days here and really enjoyed it. Facilities are great and the atmosphere is chill. The rooms are kind of kooky too, all decorated in different themes as if for children. There is bedding, plug sockets and lights by beds available. The locker was too narrow for my bag but I had no concerns for losing my belongings. The kitchen was well stocked and had every tool I needed in that time. The only downside was the staff were a bit brusque and rather saw customers as an inconvenience.

Dealt with two different staff members who were not knowledgeable and unwilling to help, despite us asking questions about events they were advertising in house. Wifi was spotty at best. Showers and washrooms were clean which was the only redeeming quality. Location is decent but do not trust the hostel's website directions.

Was there with a study trip (18 persons) and has been a positive experience. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, booking and dealing with staff was very friendly, prices were good and invoices have been settled quickly. The location in the Neustadt was naturally brilliant, but some students had complained the next morning, that's a bit too long to was loud, but it is with all advantages and disadvantages of Louise Street. I would again like to book and go back.

The hostel was nice and clean. I stayed in a dormitory and at 9 am there was a group of people talking VERY loudly. Would have been nice to get a bit more sleep. Overall good, just a bit loud.

Very friendly, very lively area. The hotel is correct. Perfect for young people, a little less for the older ones.

You get what you paid.
For pupils, students and other non-sensitive low earners just right.
The rooms are swept clean, except under the beds. The beds themselves are clean and not uncomfortable. There are reading lights directly at the bed.
Toilets and showers are located in sufficient number on the floor. Both are simple, but clean. On the beds, there is SOAP in the shower / washrooms not. There are towels free of charge at the reception. Attention tall people: the ceiling of the shower head is reached at 1.78 m.
The kitchen is well equipped, there is even a dishwasher. If you fixed the switch of the kettle in the "on"position, E. G. With a loadcell Kulli or hold, this works fine. Note: the fixation must be resolved again, otherwise the kettle boils for all eternity.
The reception was always occupied with friendly and helpful staff. You can get a small map of downtown, where all major attractions are registered free of charge. To do this there are 50 cent discount on drinks in the hostel bar, which we have not tried but just like the breakfast.
All in all a good deal if you anyway spends most of his time in the city. The biggest selling point is its location in the alternative district Äußere Neustadt with its interesting shops, cafes and pubs.

I only stayed in Dresden for one night, but Hostel Mondpalast was the right choice, it's in the coolest district of Dresden (Außer Neustadt), so you don't need a lot of time to get to/from the place of happening. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. 5/5

We were the 2nd time there and were satisfied with everything. Rooms are ok. It's a bed with clean linen. Bathroom is clean. The only downside. You get when other guests at night come her to four on the idea to take a shower. Was but probably because that was our room right next to it. Friendly staff. We have felt this time welcome and at home. Is a hostel and not a hotel. Had on my school excursions of earlier youth hostels that were not as fancy. Thank you.

We were on a class trip to this place and I must say this is really the last thing I ever seen Misteriöse vollgeschissene full mattresses have holes in the duvet cover of the a tablecloth of the dust is similar to which is probably sacred rum is just about anywhere is also fucked up in the middle of the ghetto of Dresden. The price is also a joke €20 per person say 6 room costs €120 the good which is why I give one star is that the dustbin lives in the form of an own room rat.
Not to recommend.

Still a very peaceful city. The staff was very friendly. Clean facilities, might want to buy some tea or food to cook. A nice getaway that is partially quiet, while being not too far fun parties.

Hostel Mondapalast was a blast! The area it is situated in was really cool with some nice places to drink. We were not there long but the staff seemed pretty friendly and the people of Dresden seem pretty great in general. The communal area and kitchen is cosy but that made it very good for meeting people and I met some great people in this hostel! Would recommend to people looking to stay in that area.

Very cool house, we have us felt very comfortable — right in the Neustadt. Also the Bar is easy to feel right at home, good Drinks! Come again.

All in all, a great accommodation. Clean, nice decor, despite the Bar underneath super quiet in the rooms, Great Breakfast and in the Evening there spot something nice to celebrate, the location is great and nice staff. LG :).

Brilliant hostel well-placed for all the best bits of Dresden, and within reach of transport to get you to the further-out stuff. Clean, warm, friendly, good food, hot showers, great bar downstairs. I can't rate them highly enough. Would definitely stay there again. :-).

We were eleven girls. Great Accommodation! It has been fun. Only the waiters in the Evening in the hostel Bar were annoyed and unfreundlch.

Great location, chill atmosphere, kitchen, showers are nice. Room lot of space and clean. Located near a Netto and utensils to cook and eat ur food.

The hostel doesn't offer many facilities and the staff sometimes is not enough, since there is usually only 1 person working. But the location is good, the shower was great, and the bedroom was very spaceful and clean. I do recommend it :).

The best, cleanest, most beautiful Hostel I have ever been to. I was 6 years ago in the moon Palace and wanted to go to this holiday back there… you do not have me disappointed. Many many thanks to Hostel moon Palace for a wonderful week in Dresden, I hope to come back again.

Stayed here 7th and 8th June 2012 0n Busabout. Given a bottom bunk in dorm. Then had a late arrival in the bunk above shedding large amounts of skin from leg injury throughout the night. Woke to find shed skin all over sheets, towel, me, floor. Brought to the attention of Reception and cleaner sent up to observe. Shifted beds and was stunned to find the skin still all over the floor that night. Back down to reception to show photos. Comment was "Cleaner doesn't clean, just replaces bed linen". Receptionist then tried to clean up skin with dust pan. Whilst accomm looks ok, doesn't take much to destroy a holiday staying here. Must be better accomm in Dresden than this place. Not even an apology from management. Just go away and don't complain. They all know that as soon as the bus leaves, the problem is solved.
