Simple hotel with good breakfast at a reasonable price. Good location to the city center. Reception also very friendly.

Pure disaster, never again, staff totally overwhelmed, even the boss then wanted to take care of us and never came back, we are still waiting for our scrambled eggs, hotel very old, everything very old, not recommended.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the city.
Nearby are: central station, shopping, car park, zoo, restaurants and bars.
We had booked a double room and it was very quiet, despite the fact that the station is opposite and the S-Bahn passes by, we would not have expected that.
The room was large and comfortably furnished (with small kitchenette). The beds are comfortable. The bathroom is perfectly sufficient for the purposes (shower is enough space).
It's all clean!
For breakfast: even if at the moment unfortunately no buffet is possible, it was very tasty! Coffee was a bit too strong, but there are tastes different buns were served normal and grain rolls (if necessary there were of course more). A selection of sausages and cheeses with cucumbers and tomatoes was lovingly prepared. There was also honey and jam. But there is still half a star deduction: there was no more Nutella

On our next trip to Leipzig we will most likely book the hotel again, because here the price and the performance match!

Good location and very good about eating.

Was with some work colleagues this is expressed still overwhelmed with the kind of establishment. The staff totally can't decide anything for herself, the room partly very dirty and gammelig. In some rooms a totally unpleasant smell is. Well, actually what? Perfume? Mold? You don't know, unfortunately. You will only partially fall on deaf ears and is not willing to even grace to. How exactly are the 4 stars? Bought? Decoration? Will never check in again in this hole…

New leadership must be pure! Staff overwhelmed, especially at breakfast time when the dining room is full, gambled coffee pots to pour the coffee to the guests, cutlery is missing during rush hours, rolls nothing special, rather like baked, cleanliness in the room or bathroom not good, old Shower separation with rust and dirt in a renovated bathroom, think old shower wall was rebuilt after the renovation… Key for safe on bail, as far as ok, but to charge 3 euros per day for the use of the safe is not possible. The only positive thing about this hotel is the central location, the size of the rooms, with our refrigerator and with closed windows absolutely quiet despite main road with very heavy traffic. Sleeping with an open feast absolutely not possible…

Nice place, but too hot at night and too noisy to open the window. S. Fan in the room helped. Great breakfast.

This hotel is the crowning glory!
One night was too much.
Dirty rooms, dirty bed dinghism, windows like frosted glass, hair of young employees on the breakfast table, annoyed trainees, and a receptionist directs you to another hotel in the bar. Luckily, we photographed everything. This clearly proves the state of these rooms.
An overnight stay for 120€ is completely exaggerated. We will also complain to the management.
This has absolutely nothing to do with 4-star hotel!

Location is very good, located directly opposite the main train station. Sleeping at night with an open window to the street right is not possible, too loud. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning. Breakfast buffet is simple standard.

Good location, it just near hbn and two tram system. We also have a room with a big glasses window (room 201)

When checking in the room there were no towels and there were no pillowcases on the pillows. Apologized, promised to fix by the evening, but in the end had to call several times to remind. Fixed the situation evening concierge, to whom no one passed anything.
Very bad Wi-Fi signal, it's either not either one division in one part of the room. There is no Wi-Fi in the lobby.

I would urge no one to stay in this hotel. I'm very angry as are many others who checked into this hotel for Wave Gotik Treffen — as it seems I was asked for an additional 682.20 Euros (£599.09) because I was here for Wave Gotik Treffen and therefore they wanted to charge us more. After I presented a pre-paid voucher from the booking agent to show I had already payed and the hotel was not allowed to charge me extra. I had to pay extra as they wouldn't refund me my 425.40 euros £372.33) I found the room hadn't been properly cleared before my stay as I found an empty wine bottle stuffed in the cupboard and half bottle of water in the fridge.

Utterly disgusted. Booked over a year in advance. Arrived and told to pay an extra 550 euro for the stay as the special event wgt was on. This meant everyone paid upwards of 180 euros per night. Everyone staying at the hotel the weekend gone had the same problem. Manager was rude and ignorant. Rooms were only cleaned once in the 5 day stay. Be very aware if you do not book direct with the hotel they will hold you to ransom when you check in.

A Hotel that doesn't rip the guests WGT with arrears and flimsy justifications. It is better not to book, even advance payment offers no security!

Scammers! A year ago 56 hotel rooms from all over the world reserved and now we are not allowed to browse our paid hotel rooms without double that (658, 20). We don't get the money paid (€600) back either. We have been sitting at the front desk with others affected for 1, 5 hours and waiting for the police. Now we don't get any more places to stay in Leipzig. Everything is fully booked …

It has its own charm. It is located in the city center. So it has a good approachableness.

Hotel at night, no more. His life was shabby. Very nice girls on the reception. Breakfasts: A hug and a cry. The rooms are very well equipped. The rooms have kitchens, bathtubs are spacious but little light.

Were accommodated for one night in a room for three people. Kitchen was available in the room so you could also take care of yourself.

Friendly staff, very accommodating and yet discreet. Spacious rooms with good facilities including A KL. Kitchenette. Very clean and new bathroom, also with very generous space available. Location right in the center and therefore very good connection to the central station and all other important things to find and need in the city.

The breakfast was very good and the location was excellent.
The cleanliness of the rooms, however, is not so. Neither swept nor sucked, dust on the table — the room made an unclean and familiar impression.
I will not book the hotel again.

The 5 star goes because of the relation quality/price. It costed us 59€ for two people with breakfast. Nice staff. Location was perfect, located right in the center of the city. The Hotel is old but the room and bathroom were spacious and clean, comfortable bed, very nice view! Small kitchen inside the room, a desk and TV. Also it was nicely warm. Complimentary sparkling wine on the first floor, go get some! Breakfast was tasteful, various fruit, cheese, bread, croissant, eggs, etc. We went very early (7am) so all food was still full, I don't know if in the hours to come they refilled all food. Make sure and go down early. They also let us (and I think also more people too) check-out at 12 instead of 11am. Just ask. Would stay again, but only if the price was still the same, or even a little bit more. Definitely not a 4 star hotel but it was very comfortable in the overall.

Its not a 4 star hotel, but they give you free champagne in the entrance.

For one night so far OK. Cleanliness in order. Breakfast too. However, it smelled awful in the foyer and the entire entrance area including elevator. The room furnishings are uncomfortable, colourless and unlovingly put together. The beautiful view advertised in the brochure was limited to the unsightly courtyard.
Staff is friendly though.
Overall, however, the hotel does not offer a 4-star standard.

Noisy and outdated. Not recommended.
Non-smoking rooms are booked and smoking rooms are given. Was then swapped but only one bed related and ur a set of towels. We were two. Room not cleaned properly. Neither swept nor sucked. Breakfast rather moderate. Will not be replenished quickly and dirty dishes will remain on the tables forever. It stinks in the house and everything looks old, consumed and little inviting.
This is not a 4 star hotel. Only the central location is great. Just around the corner there are two Ibis hotels that are modern and cost less.

Good hotel for 3 nights well Center for city tour and good shops.

The staff were very nice and the room was very small. Large double room. Kettle was in the room but no cups or teas. Clean modern bathroom. Breakfast buffet with a good selection. Friendly staff.

I can live with simple hotels and arrangements, as long as the rooms are clean and the price vs. Service is in balance. My room was dirty. I don't they vacuumed the living area and I highly doubt they did a good job in the restroom. The staff is friendly, but uninterested. The breakfasts eggs were dusty, if you know what I mean. All in all I would not recommend the hotel to my friends.

The hotel is conveniently located between Central Station and the old town. Next door There is a large shopping centre with many shopping facilities. Tram stop is about 3 minutes away, from here you can easily reach everything in Leipzig. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was good.
As the hotel is centrally located, thus on a main artery, it is very noisy with the window open. Since we were there in winter and the hotel has good soundproof windows, this did not bother us. However, imagine the situation in the summer without air conditioning and open/folded windows differently.

Very clean, very good service, especially the staff at breakfast! The room was very large and pleasantly furnished. Also this was very clean. The only drawback was that the room was on the street, that it was relatively noisy. Especially when early at four the delivery traffic began. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about!

A super hotel. We can only recommend it to anyone. Staff are all friendly and eager to make the best of their guests. Unfortunately we have to forgive a small minus point, but for breakfast you had to ask for a second CUP of coffee, we are passionate coffee drinkers. We would have found it more beautiful if there was a coffee-maker on the table, so you can give in to your liking. But otherwise a clean hotel and super central location.

I am beyond thankful to the wonderful
staff at this hotel. The check in process was fast and efficient. Breakfast was available but we slept in late. What gave them a “5 star” rating — my coughing spree was triggered in the early morning. I came down and reserved another room, so my guest can have some in-disturbed sleep. We were checking out that morning in five hours. THANKFULLY the young man was so considerate that he was able to be put me into another room until the morning shift arrive. I came down stairs in the morning and spoke to the young lady. She took the payment then. Traveling can be rough — I am so glad my experience at Hotel Royal International turned out to be a very positive one! Please thank the young man (Apologies as I forgot his name) who worked the overnight shift of 11/21 and the young lady who worked morning shift of 11/22! I am truly grateful for their understanding. ❤️

The location is great. Has a great breakfast buffet, nice staff and a fair price. Building has 6 floors, which can be entered with two lifts, or stairs.

Absolutely rude staff. On request to send us a booking document by scan, the listener was hung up three times, one is insulted as "stupid trainee without graduation" the "too stupid would be to book a hotel" just because it first has the uncertainty whether a document by mail is sufficient. Absolutely incredibly outrageous and a testament to the poverty of a 4 star hotel.
If possible, I would cancel my booking immediately.

The location of this hotel is really good! Directly opposite the station and very close to restaurants, bars and the shopping centre. The hotel does not have a restaurant and so you have find food elsewhere. They have a breakfast room, which is okay, service is a bit slow but polite and there less than 12 people there dining.

Great locaties, big rooms, great service and good food.

It is located right at the main train station and only 5 minutes from the city centre. The rooms are huge and clean, the staff friendly. It's just a pity that it's so loud, you hear the cars and the people on the street. And when you go to shower the whole bath is flooded because it is an open shower. But by and large it is really recommended.

This would have been a 4-star review, but our group was told incorrect information regarding laundry. We were told that it was 20€ per bag, but it ended up being 4€ per article of clothing. This turned out to be more than 100€ for a few people! Other than that, the breakfast was pretty good, and the rooms were nice and spacious. The only downside was the lack of organization, but even without that, I wouldn't have considered it a 5-star location.

The rooms was big, but little old. The bathroom was nice and clean. Hotel located in center off town so it's easy to explore the city from the hotel.

Located directly at the train station, five minutes to the city centre, ideal for a city break. Very spacious rooms and impeccable bathrooms, obviously both have recently been modernized, but the charm of the GDR still breathes in the corridors.
Functional and stable Wi-Fi.
The breakfast buffet is extensive, tasty and above the usual standard of this hotel category.
I can't understand the negative reviews here and would book again at the "Royal International".

Central located near Main Station, Clean rooms except the bathroom, the breakfast was ok but the Service was not nice.

Unfortunately I can give no good reviews about the hotel.
In December 2015 have we booked 3 double room and paid.
When we arrived last weekend we got only 1 double room and 1 four-bed room because it completely overbooked
was. We noticed that we were not the only ones which fared so. It is unacceptable that the operator in advance takes the money and then that fobs off the guests.
The only positive what I can tell, the breakfast was OK.
Lack of cleanliness in the bathroom.

Nice, large and clean rooms with sofa and kitchenette — two plates, microwave, fridge which serves also as a minibar.
Very conveniently located, breakfast was also good — there were both warm (such as Bacon and sausages) and cold dishes. It was not noisy and the staff was friendly.
I would once again go all in all – I was here at WGT.

Location is great, you can reach everything on foot or by public transport. Rooms large, very cheap Furniture lighting to dark, clean disaster, even after complaint no improvement, shower worked also incorrectly.

Who needs only a neat bed and breakfast in Leipzig, is right here. However, you should not maintain high standards.
Smells like food in each floor and the breakfast room is too small (so early breakfast). The look in the kitchen is not just beautiful.
But personal endeavour and is friendly (mostly apprentices).

The room was okay, the Ofa bit grubby, because there are louder spots earlier. The cleaning lady was very tidy and friendly! The rest of the Service was more than poor. Unfriendly, it is reckoned that later, just more than it was. The buffet consisted of sausage and cheese with angetrocknetem edge — very appetizing, and overall makes the Hotel rather the impression of unkindness. The guest disturbs more likely, especially if you have his room key holt and the occupation of the reception with friends talking, the visit passed by. The look was enough. The Hotel had potential but unfortunately lacks the commitment and kindness! Was funny as I forgot what had it should be on the next working day insured for 6, 90 sent to me, 4 business days later, you had taken care of it time to call and say send it now, only going on and then still twice as expensive as discussed. Without to speak with! As you has dared to call and ask why that would be, it was stupid put down and insulted and if you, the Director wants to speak to you properly angepampt and just launched.

Unfriendly, inattentive and just not recommended. A typical Hotel in the vicinity of a German train station. You do not need to do.

November 2014: Our — from space ago — the generous family room was unfortunately only me Schummerbeleuchtung equipped. The Hotel makes a shabby impression — the 4-star Shine is long gone. Stained carpets, a few shelves and towel rack in the bathroom. No shower rod un showering in the bathtub with curtain we also find not too tingly. In the morning we were with the scent of fried bacon and scrambled eggs awakened. The carpet in the Breakfast room is hygienic. Full of black stains. The selection at the Breakfast buffet is good and sufficient, marred this impression is caused by dirty dishes (brown edge in the Milchtopf). Trash in the hallway of the Nebeneingangs is also not a 4-star Standard. We will be there, probably not a second Time to stop.

Does not correspond to the expectations of a 4 star Hotel. Arrival: Parking is chaotic spaces are numbered but the assignment of the cars or car Parking tickets will not fit. Place unattached and only on a temporary basis with hoarding backed up. For 9€ per night. Rooms: Old and partially stains on seats and on the walls. Bathroom: Clean but towels significantly with wear and tear marks. Shower head broken and despite complaints, no exchange. Breakfast: Sporatisch, small selection. Carpets very dirty and unappetizing. Dishes after control is suitable. Staff, probably apprentices, are friendly and helpful but on Sunday, with many guests overwhelmed.

Too bad, ALMOST good. + great location (but very loud) + nice large rooms — Breakfast i. O. But unspectacular, tables will not be re-arranged, the staff seems willing, but too short — 2 days I was at the lack of Wi-Fi (at least in the first floor) to put off, to me then an accountant the total Defect confirmed. — empty bottles were neither disposed, nor was the mini bar is filled up — > then supplies you hold to yourself :-) — one Evening, we came into an open room with angelehnter door back! The staff had the slightly sticking door is not closed properly : — ( — the hotel bar bill in principle closed and unoccupied Anything can happen, but as I am the hotel Manager complained that our room at 15:30 not yet been made and no staff in sight, this was just outrageous! Instead of just apologizing, he made stupid sayings and I said "could even take off". Details I will spare. The then numerous approaching staff was friendly and helpful. Conclusion: definitely NOT a 4 star value. Well, the fish stinks from the head.

Horrible! And a Four-star Hotel! The rooms are unspectacular to be uncomfortable. The walls in the room are dirty. The Breakfast is good, but has not much to offer. Initially, we have a pot of coffee ordered, we simply did not bring. We have followed the waitress to pay attention you showed us. When, however, the just come to a couple from the table next door had a pot of get had, we called back the waitress to us, then a half Cup of coffee poured out and again with the jug disappeared. By and Large, it is okay, but not for a Four star Hotel! The only thing the Sternstatus corresponded to was the price.

That was the worst 4 star Hotel we have ever visited (January 2013). The staff was friendly, but unfortunately not in all things competent. The beds were on the 1. Night loveless, a towel was missing, dirty glasses from the night before were exactly as on the previous evening, Breakfast was only after repeated requests, glasses for juice. At the Bar there was beer only bottles. But the crowning glory:The forgotten charging cable for the phone was found, but wanted to send it only if we have previously the postage send directly to the Hotel. All in all: We don't know where the 4 stars, or in this Hotel. Unfortunately our rooms do not have the photo match.
