Really nice hotel and service. It would be five stars if they had a better equipped gym and the food on the roof terrace was average.
Hotel looks like nothing special from outside.
Inside, on arrival, seems more like a hostel than an hotel.
But surprises await with very welcome and comfortable downstairs seating areas, bar and impressive restaurant on display.
Downsides. The young male person on reception, looking about school age, needs training. Asked earlier today about book shops in Leipzig, he didn’t think there were any. Leipzig is tiny. We discovered the market square has quite a few good book shops.
On being told this, the young person, who was born and bred in ILeipzig, shrugged and said he only read anything on his computer.

This evening, I went down to buy a bottle of wine for the room E48!
I then asked for a small sandwich. Impossible at this time 9.30pm!
No amount of “please be reasonable, this is supposed to be a four star hotel” worked. And so I am in my room, hungry and will probably go out and hunt down some cafe just to have an evening snack. Absolutely atrocious. My first and absolutely last visit here.

Rooms had view from shower to bedroom so not all traveling parties will appreciate this. Beds were firm, but not hard. One free bottle of still water, and 3 free bottles of sparkling juice were in the refrigerator every day.

Breakfast is good, I advise getting it even if a little on the high side. This area in general seems a little pricey.
