Very nice hotel with pleasant atmosphere. Room top with great view (panorama room) and very clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the food is delicious and the wellness area invites you to relax. All in all, the grade 1! We felt very comfortable and will be happy to come back.

We had a super holiday during three weeks in this hotel. Good hotel, friendly staff, good housekeeping and good kitchen. Thanks to all the staff.

The panoramic room deserves its name and offers a great view of the reservoir and the great landscape. The equipment of the rooms is very good, bathroom as good as new. Due to the corona crisis, numerous precautions had been taken, only the visit of the swimming pool and the wellness area was not possible. The sunbathing lawn was open. The beautiful Pentecostal weather offered plenty of alternatives and for hikers and cyclists there are numerous opportunities to spend the time. Breakfast was served at the table, nothing was missing. In the evening you could eat a la carte or a menu. Everything was very tasty. A great getaway, which was certainly not the last.
Not to forget the always friendly service in a family hotel.

A great hotel with very good and friendly service and really nice staff. My room (47) has a beautiful view of the countryside (including deer).
The swimming pool is sufficient
large with loungers and armchairs to relax. The room with balcony and views of the "Reservoir" was a quiet retreat after a few laps in the pool.

Rooms were cleanand comfortable and large but maybe a bit dated. Breakfast was fine. Personell was very friendly.

When booking by phone I was asked if I would like to have a simple or a better room for 1 person. I chose the better room. Such a "happiness".
Freshly renovated before feeling 10 to 15 years, my room received me with cuddly high pile carpet (yuck) and a Minibad.
The toilet was not quite as I usually know it. See photos. That was before a — of course — unsuccessful use by me! Used the toilet in the swimming pool. After showering, the bathroom remained wet because no fume hood was installed. This resulted in a slightly damp atmosphere. But good. Teeth together and through. One night at this hotel and then it goes back home to the weekend. Oh, the breakfast. Just the notdürftigste and a coffee that I could go to the bottom of — how true.
The only small advantage: the swimming pool. Though with some soapy of water but so far ok. Only after that hot showers do not forget.
On departure in the morning the reception was vacant. No ringing, knocking or shouting was successful. So I'm slid without paying over the completely icy parking lot and drove off.
An hour later, I called the hotel to draw attention to it. There was someone on the phone, but he didn't even know I was there. Still asked for the bill by post.
Conclusion: A hotel of the 70s with a lagging standard. Cleanliness? Yes, you can eat from the ground. You always find something.
Never again.

A very good clean hotel with friendly service and excellent kitchen rooms with panoramic views were excellent have made us feel very comfortable there and can only recommend it to anyone.

Restaurant in the middle price level. Very clean and friendly staff. The tasty dishes are sometimes typical of the region. The hotel, in which I did not stay, is an excellent starting point for beautiful hikes. Those who want it cheaper can stay at the nearby campsite.

Traditional family hotel, very welcoming and accommodating for our party of 20. Not the most modern of places but it served out needs very nicely at a great price. Food was great as was the beer. Some rooms have a great view of the countryside very quiet surroundings. Will be going back.

The lofty price of 165 Euro per Person we booked here for a Wellness weekend (2 Nights, a 60-minute Massage per Person). We left Friday afternoon and were immediately by a refreshing Vitalcocktail welcomed. So far, So good. After that, we went immediately full of anticipation in the as "300m2 large" advertised Spa, which, however, as a large 6x12m swimming pool, a 3-person Sauna and an only slightly larger steam room turned out. Even with allergrößzügigster rounding up, there were a maximum of 100m2. Well. Since there are only a few other guests were staying, we had still enough space. At seven o'clock we moved then hungry go to dinner (we had half Board booked). Our expectations of the "delicious 4 — or 5-course-menu", however, were more than disappointed. Our small group consisted of 3 vegetarians and Non-vegetarians, according to the web site and the more or less friendly service staff: no Problem, also vegetarian food is possible. We ordered so 3x a vegetarian menu. Our soup, we had already half eaten, as a waiter to us stepped in and told them that this soup was probably not a vegetarian (which he would probably be better not said). The vegetarian main course consisted of two eggs with spinach, in a bath of mustard. To do this: mashed potatoes from the bag. Not just our favorite. But we remained still as "Eifler buffet" bepriesene Breakfast. But here again we were disappointed. Rolls, hardly any selection of cold cuts and cereal that was all.

Very friendly welcome om 19.00 and dan straight to the food. The garnaelen, gorgeous. A day booked separately. A walk along the lake (Oh Yes, the reservoir but a bit smaller dan thought) all the way to the top and back to Gerolstein. The very top and with a bow back to the Hotel. And then taste the trout probably very special. Arguments enough back to come.

We were once with our dogs there and can nothing negative to say! staff very friendly and fond of animals! food is just a matter of taste but a hotel can't please everyone! can evaluate you quickly, but I can only positive things to report in every respect! (to whom the rooms are not like the should then just in the steigenberger book)! is always a matter of price! We were from 26.12.2013 to 1.1.2014 in the Hotel The room was. Clean, but with a Schimmelfleck at the window, The shower base is 60cm tall, you can hardly move. The Italian night was pork, really delicious. The Candle Light Dinner was Rheinischer Sauerbraten served ENTSÄTZLICH. By a heart disease, I could, with my wife, not the Paid 189.00 euros per Person, Silvestergalaabend with 6-course menu to participate, the food was not served in the guest rooms, and we had to Leave a day earlier. When paying the bill I asked if for the non-performance, a reduction of the invoice would be possible. This was Rejected VERY SHABBY, not very customer Friendly.

Outside: the hotel exterior doesn't look very nice. Parking is easy. The hotel surroundings look nice. Some mountains, forests and right in front of the hotel is a lake. (NOT to swim! ) Rooms: We stayed in room 47, 44 and 43 which looked very nice. Room 47 and I believe 44 have a very nice view of the mountains and lake with a nice terrace. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. The interior appears to be updated quite recently. Don't know how the other rooms are. Restaurant: the food was good. When we mentioned that we were not able to attend breakfast on Sunday (which starts at 08:00! ) the women behind the reception created a bag for the 3 of us with bread, fruit, drinks that we could take with us (no charge). These bags were all in our rooms when we returned from dinner. This is the kind of service that makes a hotel special. I would return. Room Tip: Not sure if all rooms have been updated. The rooms with a balcony looked very nice.

We have a great holiday had good food love full staff and also employed very nice saubers House and environment we come back.
