Very tasty food. Employees are very friendly.

Super nice lady at the reception, despite a very late arrival, great Lounge, chill-out music and the room was also super. We will definitely come back again.

24 hrs after checking in I was informed my 'credit' had run out!
When asking what this was about I was informed it is policy for all guests to pay every Friday! What? I have never experienced this in any hotel anywhere.
3am I asked if I can have a beer. No.
5:30am I asked if I can have a coffee. No.
8am. I asked to speak to the manager. No.
I have never heard the word 'no' in a hotel. At Saks it's the standard reply.
I asked for a bottle of champagne and was told how much it costs. Again I asked for it and again I was told it's €95. Pretty much the worst service I have experienced.

Enjoyed my stay, customer service was great, very clean rooms.

I have stayed at the SAKs hotel on several occasions over the past few years. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, the rooms clean & quiet and the beds clean and comfortable. Parking is available under the hotel however it is a public car park and hotel guests are currently charged 14 Euro a night to park. The hotel bar area is comfortable and modern with a good selection of spirits and a few beers on tap. The breakfast is fine for me with a selection of meats, egg, beans, sausage, pastries, yoghurts, fruit, cereal, fruit juices dried fruits and bread. Those looking for for a full English or to order something from a menu may be disappointed as this doesn't appear to be available. There are many restaurants and bars in a very short walking distance from the hotel. I would recommend exploring the immediate area around the hotel as there are lots of lovely places to eat and drink. There is a local supermarket across from the hotel which is handy if you need anything.

Centrally located near many fine restaurants. Nice room and great bar. Has air conditioning! Been coming to SAKS for 10 months. Service has always been great.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days. The staff members were polite, full of smiles, and check in was quick. The beds (to include their roll away bed) were like sleeping on clouds and I had a GREAT night’s sleep every night! The shower was another plus and it also had heated floors in front of the sink so when you wake up and brush your teeth your feet were nice and toasty. We had NINE suitcases (6 large, 3 small, plus 2 backpacks) and it fit in the room and it STILL felt spacious! The only downfall is there isn’t free parking and the housekeeper never cleaned the mirror or dusted on top of the headboard. We did not eat here or order from the bar but it did look fun when we passed at night. This hotel is a MUST and you will kick yourself later if you don’t stay here!

Great hotel with lots of design all around, delicious breakfast and friendly staff and good price/performance ratio. Unfortunately with a lack of maintenance, because the great carpet in the hallway has stepped off and here and there something is broken.

A very nice hotel. A/C isn't very strong and everything is a little pricey, but those are my only two negatives. Otherwise, a very comfortable stay!

Unfortunately at all levels very disappointing. The staff were very polite and friendly. I would like to ask what the hotel supposedly is, that they would also approach the 4 star level.

POSITVE Facts: The hotel has a modern look. The staff is always helpful and accommodating. The location is central.
Negative: room with poor layout with sink in the middle of the room. From the showers comes only a trickle.

The room Junior Suite 179 Euro The night without a parking garage and without breakfast and completely dusty everywhere defects correct dust bolls on the Bettlagen at the head end and when I complained I was offered a breakfast to otherwise next stay so if I Honestly I'm missing the words.

Very spacious room with modern design, very comfortable. Very well located in the center, next to the market square, there are many restaurants around. The bed is comfortable and the room very quiet, still giving a street with traffic. Very friendly staff. In the room there are coffee capsules but no mini bar or fridge. There is no cupboard, there is a bar with hangers in sight and a couple of drawers.

The hotel was nice and the staff was very helpful. Rooms were neat and clean although the glass shower that looks out into the room would be a little awkward if you had family travelling with you. Definitely recommend.

Mixed feelings. Basically, the rooms I've got so far are quite tastefully decorated — the shower is a highlight.
On the first visit, however, I got a room that had a leaky window and where it was very noisy and cold. After all, I was given a new room immediately. On the second visit, the room was probably cleaned only recently and rather lax, because it lacked the obligatory pin, the Nespresso capsules were caffeine free and the room was not well ventilated. Incidentally, the supposedly free Sky television has not worked in both cases. Nevertheless, of all the hotels in Kaiserslautern, in which I have been accommodated so far, the best and overall considered the quietest — despite the situation.

I was visiting from America. They didn't have the reservation I placed a several days before New Year's. I gave all my information but they had nothing. Made my girlfriend and I very upset initially. They ended up giving us the standard room and a free breakfast, which I have to say was still very nice. Very nice hotel from the looks, but very disorganized. I assume that's why they no longer have a club or restaurant. Overall was very please after the check-in.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Bit old-fashioned music for the otherwise modern equipment. Cocktails good, bartenders well. Will come back.

Great location with door access to the shopping district. Very lucky to have stayed the week the Christmas markets opened up. SAKS is about 100 meters away from the beginning of the market! There is a Brazillian steak house within the hotel, but I did not dine there preferring Gluhwein and wurst instead. The rooms are exceptional with great views as well. I highly recommend SAKS for a romantic weekend or for the business traveler.

Very smart hotel! The décor surprises with small refinements, such as underfloor heating in the shower or a good lighting ambience in the room. The staff is very accommodating and offers proactive services such as Wi-Fi and parking. Absolutely recommended for Kaiserslautern.

The location of the hotel is good. But then it stops. The rooms I did not find at all beautiful and even disgusting because of the carpet. It's such a thick fluff rug you never get eieder really clean, this one lay all over the hotel. Furthermore, the room had an air conditioner that went on automatically and robbed me of my sleep. If you are in the room for two, privacy in the bathroom is also a "no go" as there is no door and only a glass wall. The service was also among everything sow I booked a room with breakfast and also paid for on the first day and on the 2 day I should give a signature on a tab to pay virtually the bill from breakfast, as my room number was allegedly not deposited. The evening staff well, they could not speak German, it didn't seem to me as if they were knowing their way around the bar, 1 cyclist also took up to 45 min from 20 guests who had only ordered drinks, as there was no food.
Not recommended for the money!

Chic rooms and great parking. This is a good location in the center of Kaiserslautern, with great access to the square and fest area. This hotel has air conditioning and comfortable beds. The bathroom is very exposed, with glass doors and walls in the shower… It might be awkward traveling with friends or extended family.

SACS Urban Design Hotel: An upscale hotel in the heart of Kaiserslautern. Room rate from Euro 75-120 per night. Great location, in downtown, a supermarket in front, and few point of interests like Japanese garden, Church on walking distance. Provide free shuttle service in town.

Very dark. Very late 70's decor. Room was comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable. No refrigerator. The breakfast is delicious. There is an outdoor market that opens weekly in the square behind the hotel. Great (short) distance from shopping. Overall I think it was a nice place to stay and I do recommend it. I think it's a popular place for business men because I did not see many female guest. The front desk staff was somewhat friendly.

I had bad experience with check in, lady at desk was very negative approach I will never back to this hotel, my reservation was for 5 days but I checkout earlier because service at hotel really poor, problem is with front desk what make me frustrating and I decided left hotel and rally do not recommend this hotel, they need to learn customer service …

As a student at the DISC of the TU, I had already "tested" three hotels before the SAKS and rated the SAKS as the most pleasant. The service at the reception and bar is very good and the "chilly" atmosphere very relaxing. The beds in the hotel are great — you sleep fabulously and don't want to get up. The Brazilian restaurant was new to me in August. This may be an enrichment of food, but the relatively loud music in the evening has disturbed the atmosphere in the bar. The music was undoubtedly good, but at that moment — the evening before a exam — I would have liked the "chilled" ambience again. But good: everyone is right, an art that no one can do. For Kaiserslautern, however, the best address if you are looking for a hotel.

People are very friendly and humble… Super helpful. Love my room but it doesn't even have a small fridge. I gave 4 stars because does not provide free parking for the guests. But I will definitely stay again here.

Modern foyer. Amazing staff. My mum stayed here when visiting. She loved the breakfasts and friendly service. Close to everything. Great facilities.

Junior suite is very nice and clean. The room is pretty large, the TV swivels to face the bedroom or the living area. My only gripe is the bathroom in my room (418) does not have a shower, just a tub. There is a retractable shower head on a hose, which is better than nothing I suppose. Staff is nice and attentive, the bar/club is also nice. I have not been to the spa or Brazilian restaurant in the hotel, but if the quality of the rest of the hotel is any indication, I expect then to be great as they did on their site. Also, it is centrally located near all the major bars in K-Town. Literally across the street.

Fabulous place! The Christmas markets were steps away. Staff was excellent. We were upgraded to a beautiful sweet! The bath tub glowed and changed colors. A wonderful experience!

Very friendly staff! Great, modern rooms. Were in the Spa room to the tub, the lighting, everything is clean something fabulous the Spa is very stylish, especially the Sauna is Very satisfied and recommend it definitely!

Nice clean hotel located near the heart of Kaiserslautern. I really enjoyed their sauna. Be aware their bathroom design is a little interesting. Its "walls"are glass and see through!

Wonderful hotel with perfect place and warm kind staff.

Nice atmosphere… Service an absolute disaster… Sometimes in the bar area the ceiling makeshift only painted over (looks impossible) … Rooms ok but no fridge and no mini bar (should be but at 4 stars or a 24 hour service what for drinks — is not so) … I can not recommend the Saks…

Everything was nice but for 7 days we could not get Wi-Fi in our rooms.

Everything was quite okay, except the Wi-Fi. Three day business trip and not a single time possible to use the Wi-Fi in the room or conference room (neither iphone or pc). One day near the reception I had a 10 min session before being thrown off again. The reception was aware of the problem. Nevertheless, the problem was still there for all three days during my stay. This is NOT good enough for a moderately priced business hotel!

Design top, operation flop! No smile, no attention, no acceptance of the order. That's why we've been anything, again. Too bad the beautiful interior.

This hotel is centrally located in downtown Kaiserslautern right by the City walking area. The atmosphere in the hotel is very inviting and luxurious. It has a help yourself spa on the upper floor which is great after that long stressful day with great views of the city from the lounge and both the dry and wet saunas. Shower accessories are provided as well as drinking water and a selection of teas. The restaurant offers a delicious German breakfast for 13 Euros and their dinner menu has a great select. I especially enjoyed the brick oven gourmet pizza and pasta. The rooms are very accommodating, no refrigerator but they do have a coffee maker. There aren't wardrobes to store you clothes and personal items but there is large storage shelf that works perfectly fine, actually more accessible. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful with whatever questions or issues you may have. I highly recommend staying at the SAKS Urban Hotel if you are ever in the area.
