Beautiful hotel, quietly located directly on the Moselle. The room and the food (buffet) were great and the waiter very friendly.

Super reception, the senior very sympathetic, food class around all good.

Goods for dinner there. Delicious. Friendly service. All very well.

Review only about the restaurant:
Very good and professional service, small and good fish card. Portions are very large and cheap. For my taste it could be less on the plate.

3 nights over travel Currently spent — room, breakfast and dinner buffet only recommended. Friendly staff. Nice reception. For bicycles safe storage available.

We have been very friendly, which also stayed all the time of our stay, the rooms were clean, bright only the bathroom could have been a bit larger. The food was good and varied, also the prices great.
We would go back there.

Very nice little hotel with friendly staff. Food and equipment wonderful. After the renovation even nicer. Is recommended.

I can only say something about the food and there is nothing to complain about. It tastes good and the amount is also sufficient for the not too great hunger. But if you have one, you should choose a starter in advance.

Lunch break on the way to Cochem. Very inexpensive fish dishes, super delicious, like again and again.
Friendly service, beautiful terrace, even for us smokers, also for our beloved raised four-legged friends no problem.

Biggest disappointment in a long time. We had been looking forward to a delicious fish and were very excited about the selection. Unfortunately, the recommendations from some locals were not justified: The alleged salad buffet consisted of canned peas drowned in cream sauce, as well as pale tomatoes with mozzarella called substitute cheese (an insult to any real mozzarella! )
The bouillabaisse was both watery and dry (you have to get it first) and almost unseasoned, the tuna steak carved and partially burned, the sauce saffrochily. The best was the baguette, which tasted like the previous day. A jammer of what has been done to these poor fish! Later in the evening, the whole family suffered from abdominal woe and also a little more, which I do not want to elaborate on here. 80 euros for the cat …

Super nice Getaway spent there! Room nice, food very good and very nice service!

We were 3 next from 17-20 April at the hotel Fritz, on the whole it was OK. We were greeted nicely and were given a room that was freshly refurbished. Well furnished and a nice new bathroom. Unfortunately, the renovations in the Hintenhof were still accessible so that we had to allow the curtain from the window. The service was very friendly though not always attentive. The breakfast was excellent, the Abendbeffet I could not tell anything good, we did not taste it. This is not to say that it was bad, the Geschmeker are different.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Were there in family lunch, it was very well tasted also the kids card is recommended. Everything is freshly prepared.

The food was very good as always we stayed at the hotel for four days it was very nice and everything about food is very good I would recommend it to anyone and we will definitely come back.

Cosy hotel with very nice staff. Cosy rooms. Delicious food. Absolutely great value for money. I'm a repeat offender, 2times a year. Highly recommended.

We spent wonderful hiking days on the Moselle. And the Hotel Fritz in Valwig was instrumental in this:
— beautiful and super renovated rooms
— excellent breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires
— the evening buffet with several choices in the form of fish, meat, WOK dishes, various vegetables and always different saturation supplements
— fresh pils and old from the barrel
— a wide selection of wines for all tastes (dry, sweet and mild).
Our arrangement (gift from our children) included a visit to the Moselle Fire Factory including tasting and a wine tasting with spice cheese in the cellar of the hotel with a wide range of information from the two winemakers present. In addition, we would be greeted by the friendly staff with a welcome drink and received a bottle of Prosecco "for the room".
It was a great time all round.

Cheap hotel located 3 km from Chochem directly on the Moselle. Excellent food. Very good for hiking with magnificent views of the Moselle.

Nice hotel. Nice staff. Breakfast was perfect. We like to come back.

Food and service… well… The boss is good at it. Improvement possibilities but definitely there.

Simple Hotel. One should not make too high demands concerning the room design. Some visible defects, such as water damage. The service was satisfactory, the quality of the food partly pleasing good to very good.

I liked my stay at Hotel Fritz. The room was big and comfy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was also good.

Very sweet and professional staff. Warm and rich breakfast buffet, although we wouldn't have minded a bit more salad options. Very close to Cochem, but still well enough away for a relaxing night of sleep. Includes wine tasting on the weekends! The hotel has its small bicycle garage, which was great for us as we took our own bicycles with us from Hanau. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the towels abundant :)

We had booked a coupon through GroupOn. Romantic dinner. The Moselle river and its landscape are worth anyway a journey, but not to this hotel. It was by the previous owners take over and the time for the renovation was sleepy. Hotel seems run down and offers not the standard three star House, I would rather a hostel compare it. The food was anything but romantic. The connected s restaurant offers rather the standard of a fast food chain.
The staff is unfriendly and rude, which has already begun at the time of reservation and was then confirmed by the premature arrival only. Coming sooner is sent away again together with the case, doing it would be to say but easy: "Excuse you the room is not finished yet, want to take their welcome drink in the restaurant on the terrace until the room is ready. " The guest takes the key itself in getting behind the reception, because it is rarely occupied.
My conclusion: Even if the hotel has changed just the owner, and was taken over in a State of disrepair. So, but the guest is not a disorder and is tolerated only because you want to have the money from him. Often you can see way over small defects, if you friendly located/hosted is. But at this hotel right at the time promised comfort nor the hospitality therefore it was the first and last visit.

We had expected a friendly, charming hotel Fritz with international delicacies, with whom we wanted to let us pamper! This promised at least the announcement of prospectus.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed on the entire line.
The room looked like a download geomancy storage closet. Heating and plaster this heating pipes rusted. In March when the weather is extremely cold and storm-the heater was used only by the hour. On demand, we received an unfriendly in the pass almost cheeky answer — "The heater is automatically operated". The dimly lit bathroom with a very unsanitary shower curtain and a shower valve that would have probably already years ago should be exchanged was topped only by the rotten floor in the entrance area. The ceiling in the shower area was littered with large water wreaths and fungi. The tile joints called for unconditional clearance keeping with their yellow brown discoloration. Dirty tile floor strewn with black mold in the shower area actually called for the immediate evacuation of the room. The ancient tile floor in front of the toilet was decorated with a dark brown to black current joint patina. Disgusting!
The window allowed sufficiently rapid air even in a closed state, because the window frame — simple timber with single glazing and faulty paint coating — were designed, you could see the sky between the wooden Struts. That is when heating switched off and storm-Mai Wetter.

Short version:

Conclusion:
On the next visit to the area, we book the much nicer hotel on the other side of the Moselle in Ernst.

Very good food, which rest so la la.

A small, beautiful, come in the hotel. It is renewed piece by piece. However the situation and especially the Küche (hervorragend) compensation. The staff is by its very fast occur then sometimes but forgetful. Must be very beautiful especially in the summer. Oh, Yes, a wine tasting in the home can only be recommended. The contract winemakers understands his business.
