Super nice, beautiful rooms, great idea of an always open bar. Located in the middle of Cochem and close to the train station. Always happy again!

Beautiful, appealing hotel. Good location, right on the Moselle. The centre of the village is within walking distance. Very nice staff. Breakfast is also good!

That's a class! This is really a nice hotel that is cared for by a nice couple and we have been treated there sof Reundlich as by our friends at Home. They are always style-safe yet original and liner uses against Furnished. We felt completely comfortable.
Next time, Kommich safely back here and not in one of the impersonal mass hotels.

I felt wonderfully lifted in this hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the breakfast was very good.
Just write the hotel directly by mail (even today not always a matter of course in Germany…) and you will certainly be helped.

Am VERY excited!
Feels like a WG (not that I'd ever lived in one), only without knowing each other. The "Mini bar" is based on trust. And there is a very chic communal living room (salon) with balcony.
The staff is always friendly and fond of children.
The booking process was great and all preliminary questions were answered quickly and satisfactorily.
The suite is out front and has Moselle — and castle views. Really nice! (if it's not raining. ) Yes, there is a main street in front of the house, but I didn't find it very annoying. Even the ships were not really heard.
The suite is furnished with a double bed and a sofa with table, as well as two chairs plus a table.
Bathroom and toilet are clean and absolutely large enough. The shower is on the ground floor. A small minus point, although in itself a good idea. The bathroom and toilet are equipped with a motion sensor and both have a milk glass door. Therefore, it is quite bright when someone is looking at these rooms in the evening or at night. Light switches would have been OK here too.
Unfortunately, the bed is quite hard, which for me does not bring quite so restful sleep. But there's always something, so there's no star deduction.
The breakfast is good. There are plenty of choices of cold cuts. Cereals, fruits and vegetables are also served.
Unfortunately I have to remove a star because the WLAN only works conditionally.

Top hotel with excellent and very tastefully furnished rooms — not only the guestrooms but also the lounge and breakfast room. Very nice and friendly staff. Very nice multi-faceted buffet. Good beverage offer without complicated (and of course costly) personnel use. The guest takes his preferred drink even from the well-stocked wine cabinet etc. And write down what he has taken. Distance to interesting places in Cochem, restaurants etc. Is a no brainer. We will definitely be back. A. + M.

Actually, it would have been a successful weekend in Cochem if it hadn't been for this hard mattress.
This old building has been beautifully renovated and the concept I think the guest is great. Unfortunately, the hotel is not accessible.
You are greeted very kindly and are always helpful. The room on the second floor, overlooking the castle, is very large and modern and located to the rear out with balcony. Luckily, because in front of the house the federal road runs and although we were there in October, there is a lot of traffic. Unfortunately, there is no elevator. A problem for someone who finds climbing stairs hard.
A normal, rich breakfast is served and nothing is always made sure nothing is missing.
Unfortunately, the bed was so hard that a restful sleep was not possible. Ok, I have backs and depend on a good mattress, but even my wife it was too hard. One tried to make lying more pleasant by laying a blanket, but it didn't take advantage of much. Therefore, only 3 stars.

Very nice and clean rooms. Great service and courteous workforce.
Close to the centre. In some rooms, the adjacent street hears too much. The wooden staircase also gives it our somewhat noisy into the stairwell and thus into the rooms. But please come back.

This review is about the booking process since that I didn't stay there because of the problems we had, but we got charged for the stay anyway! The 3rd party booking company they work with when you use the hotel website is useless. I tried to book the room several times and kept crashing after I input all my information. I gave up and NEVER got a confirmation confirming that I had a room. I had to book a room in a different hotel for my family. Unfortunately the day we arrived we got an email from the owner (is a small hotel) telling us that we were going to get charged for not showing up. I tried to explain to him that I NEVER got the confirmation from him (the hotel) or the booking agency the hotel work with to no avail. He was set on charging me, they're a business after all, but had no intention of understanding or working things out with me. They forward me an email (all in German) from the booking company, telling them that they sent me an email and that was enough for him. He proceeded to tell me that he had all my contact and credit card information as a proof. For me that only proof that I wanted to book a room, but had no idea it was done. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company, but we will see what happen. I am not sure how staying in the hotel is, but I am glad I didn't stay there if the customer service was going to be like that.

Hotel Villa Vinum Cochem is unlike an hotel I have ever stayed at. It is a quaint little hotel along the river in Cochem. The quiet relaxing setting make for a rejuvenating and restful experience. The owner Theo is one of the nicest, most accommodating hosts I have ever met.

Theo and Monika were exceptionally kind and helpful hosts during the three days I spent at Villa Vinum. They spoke perfect English and always had good restaurant, day trip, and sightseeing recommendations. They take tremendous pride in their establishment and their jobs as hosts. They were happy to give me an introduction to an excellent wine cellar in the area, and took a bunch of guests to a free wine tasting at one of the nicest vineyards in the area. The house/hotel itself was lovely, with an eclectic mix of old and contemporary furnishings. My room was incredibly spacious, very clean, and well apportioned. While the Wi-Fi on the uppermost floor was still spotty (something they are working on), I was able to finish my work in their comfortable lounge space. Breakfast was more than satisfactory, and changed enough each day to keep things interesting. Villa Vinum and the Mosel region were easily my favorite places during my trip into Germany. I would most definitely return if I ever find myself in the area again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in April 2012 and absolutely loved the hotel and the owner! (We made Cochem our home base while traveling around the Mosel Valley. ) It's a beautiful home that was renovated to a hotel. Here's why we loved this hotel: 1) We were going to Cochem via train from Bruges and arrived at the hotel at 11 p. M — well past our 7 p. M. Expected arrival but he stayed up to wait for us to let us in. 2) Fresh and abundant breakfast spread. We traveled through Germany for 3 weeks and this was by far the best. 3) Owner imported king-sized beds from the U. S. (so it's not 2 double beds pushed together to make a king bed). This is just a little example of how much pride and work he puts into his hotel. (We also liked the get-togethers he hosted in the evenings for guests to unwind while enjoying music and wine together. ) 4) New/Clean/Renovated bedrooms and bathrooms. 5) Location, location, location! The hotel sits right along the Mosel and is 1 block away from bike rental, bus and train station (without the noise), and supermarket. 6) It was somewhat cold when we stayed in April so we didn't get to enjoy the deck/outside seating but it was nicely landscaped. Overall, we felt like we lucked out in finding this place and this hotel really helped mark the Mosel Valley as one of our favorite places in Germany; we will definitely stay here again when we return.
