We were on a short holiday at the end of October in the Brauneberger Hof and had booked the "culinary weekend of connoisseurs". We were accommodated in the Eagle's Nest, one of two rooms on the third floor. Mrs. Conrad and her staff were more than nice. The room was nicely made up, cozy and tastefully decorated (except for the spring bed, it was way too hard for us. But that's taste thing! ) Three incidents led to the fact that I did not give up 4 stars: One was the residents of the opposite room, who had to run their dog at 5 o'clock in the morning, making noises as if they were walking through our room; 40 minutes later came back and moved and entertained (they didn't shout! The top floor is very noisy! We could understand every word. ) as if they were going to leave.
The second was the insertion of professional traffic including trucks and buses from 06.00 a. M. Monday morning, on the main road, which is about 10 m from our accommodation (today, Tuesday, was holiday in addition, we had cotton wool in our ear, so we could get up to the second short break around 05.00 to 05.40 "by sleeping". ).
The third was the candlelight dinner with 5 courses. The first three were applied in a good 1 1/2 hours, between the third and fourth we were allowed to wait an hour in the separate room. The water, the glass of wine was rather fast (1/2 hour) on drunk, a waitress were not seen, because needed elsewhere and so unrest and trouble spread, but one was too polite to stand up and to see where the problem lay.
The food, like the hotel as a whole, was tastefully prepared and tasted, but not more. Here the Brauneberger Hof remains guilty of comparison with other 4 stars — houses.
The breakfast buffet was just as nicely done and was adequate.
All in all, we would spend some of the above experiences, no longer in the Brauneberger Hof a holiday. In the area but already!
