I recommend strongly to stay second floar, not 4th floar thta was not renovated. It is the most expensive hotel in saarbrucken but it doesn't mean the best hotel in saarbrucken.

I had booked this hotel especially for river side view. Even after mentioning the same in my booking request I was not given the river view room. I requested many times and was denied all the time. They do no serve hot vegan option in the breakfast. I do not recommend booking it.

Stayed here on a business trip… good service the place is nice very clean… there are some reno's being made but overall good experience.

The new rooms are fantastic. Breakfast has good choice. But the decor in the restaurant is past its best.

Cosy beds, big rooms, big Breakfast, friendly.

Bad service, reception is not friendly I get a dirty towel, the room is not clean. Only good was the breakfast … Cant understand why its a 4 star hotel Other hotels with 2 stars where ive been were cleaner And the reception were Nice.

4-star hotel in a good location about 6 or 7 minutes on foot from the main train station. Very friendly staff-at reception as well as the extensive and delicious breakfast buffet. Nice and clean rooms. Value for money is OK.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very slow check in. Clearly, training must be learnt but not late in the evening if you only want to go to his room to sleep.

Central Hotel. Nice rooms. Temperature cannot be regulated well in the room. Otherwise recommended.

Centrally located. Central Station and shopping facilities within walking distance. The room was very clean and comfortable. Without breakfast — therefore no rating. Very nice staff. Cozy lobby.
Update: Since my last visit has been diligently renovated. The first floor shines in a new splendour. Was thrilled.

Super nice, Super room (and in comparison very large), super clean. Super good. Thumbs up and that's why five stars.

The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. It is very central and everything is very easy to reach. The hotel also has an underground parking garage which is a bit short. The staff is very friendly. Overall, I very much like to visit this hotel.

I felt fiddle. Nice rooms, a class bar and a really great breakfast only drawback: the parking spaces in the underground garage… due to the many pillars unfortunately very tight.

Very good staff. Lunch with light weaknesses. Fries fries Not so crispy. Salad could have been a bit fresher. Steak Perfect. The breakfast was first of all cream. However, there was no table tray for the table waste. Two Williams Christ were not only very expensive but also of miserable quality. Smell insufficient and very rough in the disposal. By the same, they cost Williams €11.

Super great! French bed in single room bathtub super quiet rooms and super fast internet w-lan in the room.

Definitely has tradition, but it's a little older. Got something! Definitely a recommendation. Is also being renovated.

Was there for breakfast and it was very varied and tasty. A lot of choice and there is even something for vegans and vegetarians. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very nice renovated hotel with nice large rooms. It is centrally located on the beautiful city centre and still very quiet. Breakfast is 1a. Very good selection and fast and very friendly staff. I'll book it again.

Good service, and the hotel is well positioned. Enjoyed the stay. Food was good too. Sadly, the internet was bad and made work almost impossible when relying on Skype etc for voice or video. Paying extra for their "premium internet" didn't help. Another issue was the air-conditioning​, which didn't work, making the room hot during the day and night.

Great location, located near the city center and Saarbrucken Hbf. Rooms surprisingly well appointed, bright and airy. Aircon a bit warm when I stayed in, staff acknowledged and said it's a known issue and is working on it.

Arived with a group staff could not have done eny better thank you for looking after us.

It is a nice place, everything is clean and the staff is very receptive. There is a good wine collection. The city surprised me pleasantly.

Pleasant, clean hotel. Limited parking under the hotel, but I believe you can park in the conference center next door.

The Mercure Saarbrücken city is certainly no beauty from the outside, but what you want from a building from the 70s or so expect. Good architects were in short supply.
Inside the hotel but can convince. Spacious rooms, which have as in my case, partially direct views of the Saar. Very friendly staff, unfortunately today is still not standard in all hotels, no matter where you came.
Only drawback: the shower curtain, by means of which I managed to place the bath under water. Something like that should be in a 4 * to find hotel no longer be these (folding) partition, then maybe.
Very nice also: I got daily a bottle water free.
The bed was very comfortable, the Wi-Fi fast. I can't say anything for breakfast, eaten breakfast there not in the hotel. All in all the truly peace of mind can make your hotel reservation.

The location is excellent for train travellers, as you went down minutes from Saarbrücken main station in 3-4. The superior rooms are spacious and there are also rooms with beds (correctly! ) when one is travelling with colleagues and would like to share the room. We are more often and like to there. There are deductions for the expensive breakfast (€17) and the old-fashioned (but clean! ) Rooms.

The hotel has its best time behind him. The rooms and restaurant are dated.
The environment around the hotel invites not just to linger. Bad price-performance ratio.
Bathroom in the room was newly renovated, with bath and unhygienischem shower curtain.
The mini bar was sealed with a strip of paper, have not even dared me to open it ;-)
For a cookie from a pack I missed dinner…
Breakfast buffet was unworthy of a 4-star property.
Optical appearance deficient.
2 types of buns, pretzels, or soda.
Some vegetables (Loveless a few tomato slices and cucumbers),
Rollmöspe and olives in small bowls.
Fruit is still poor.
Oranges have been halved and slapped on the buffet. How should I eat this without to ruin me hands and clothes?
Peel I can't do it, because they are just been cut in half, and with the available tools (cutlery) I can't get the shell off. In any 3 star hotel it is self-evident to fillet the Orange.
Advantage: it was asked whether one would like fresh eggs and there were all kinds of coffees.
I was 4 days (maximum sentence) to a seminar there, including snacks and lunch.
At lunch, you could choose from 3 main dishes which were taste very good, but very small portions. The food came quickly, dessert was there too quickly and just as good. For dessert we got one espresso or cappuccino. It took 15 minutes for 20 participants. Apparently, man has only a small coffee?

For 3 years we are regular guests at this hotel because of the excellent breakfast. Above all, we enjoy the egg dishes, which are prepared fresh for each guest and the selection of organic bread. Often we eat lunch, which is always very good and has an excellent price/performance ratio. Therefore we can not understand at all the negative criticism by A. Busch. We rather assume that A. Is Bush has annoyed about something else and then use the "anonymous" environment of the Internet to get rid of his anger. Sad that there are such people.

It was a very nice hotel. Breakfast Buffet very nice and very full. The site is in the heart of the city close to all convenience. Recommended.

The service at the hotel is not at the level of 4 star hotels.
Buffet breakfast is very poor
The staff is not thorough. Things of the prior user of the room were still standing around and not removed even after Dunning's.
Lunch was an imposition.
By far the worst hotel that I ever visited.

Always welcome in the heart of the city. Little new furnishings but cosy and warm atmosphere. It speaks French and it is really a plus.
