Very clean rooms, friendly staff. The pianist in the lounge next to the bar provides a pleasant atmosphere. The grand staircase is my favourite :)

Delicious breakfast, friendly staff, big rooms, fast Wi-Fi. When I complained about a noisy room (window facing a busy street), I was offered another room at the back. Much appreciated.

Great location, beautiful lobby, bar and meeting facilities but the rooms can be disappointing. Some are good but I've had issues with old bathrooms, smelly rooms, noisy lights/fridges… Not to the Royal level in my opinion.

Hotel in an enviable location close to the only very beautiful puazza of the city. The rooms are a little small but comfortable enough the highlight and breakfast in the morning.

Super Service, Room, reception, Bar rarely so perfectly experienced. One of the greatest pleasures is and remains the Grand staircase. Here movement is not to be banished to the joyful guests in shabby staircases.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, das Personal ist äußerst freundlich, auch die Atmosphäre ist super. Leider fande ich hat mir irgendwas "heimisches" gefehlt. Aber alles in allem war es super.

The check-in was very friendly. A very nice room will get quietly located to the courtyard. Unfortunately, for professional reasons, I had to shorten my stay by one night. Here, too, help was very easily helped.
Sauna. Small. But very clean and completely fine for a sauna session. Fitness area also very well maintained.
The staff at breakfast were very attentive and friendly.
Choice of food was great and very extensive.
In short. I would keep booking in the hotel in the future.

Breakfast, when not requested at booking (an option I never saw) apparently costs €22, which I only found out at checkout. My room was too warm, but when the windows were open the street noise was cacophonous. The Wi-Fi is slow unless you pay extra. The beds are not particularly comfortable. All told, for the price, not a great deal.

I had an official event in one of the conference rooms including meals. The staff was nice and had all the wishes (new pens for the flipchart, setting the temperature) done promptly. The food was delicious and very lush.

Unfortunately we (family with 5 people) could not open the window overnight because the shutter was defective — this is not so ideal.
The breakfast on the other hand was first Class!

My good service and the employees are very professional and it is very clean. Most of their clientele are business people and their atmosphere is very quiet.

Seminar room was okay. Unfortunately, the drinks were not refrigerated. There was no coffee machine either. This makes other hotels with their seminar rooms better.

Since hotel has come in the years and needs in many places a renovation. The street noise in the room was extremely negative. The window does not close properly, so the noise of the 6-lane road is fully audible. I could walk passersby in front of the hotel and hear speeches.
The food at the hotel was good, both breakfast and lunch and dinner.

We only stayed for one night, had booked 2 rooms. Room and bathroom very nice and clean. Great choice of breakfast buffet, all delicious. Hotel is very central, downtown within easy walking distance.

Very nice hotel with flair. You can also get married there. There is life piano music, a very well-staffed bar and a very good restaurant. Really recommend.

Does not correspond to a 4 * hotel. Many small mistakes add up… the room was not cleaned (2 nights, there was no one in the room), dust layer on the floor, no window opened, a double bed that is ridiculously easy to move apart, incompetent and unfriendly Room Service (the ordered food did not have cutlery and the change had to be brought first), Rust on the tub, the cold water tap at the inlet did not work, at the tap a jet aimed directly in the direction of the washing… More in the years. The view was positive, at least from the booked room a view of the water tower was possible. The location is also very good and the food ordered was impeccable.

Royal by name but not by anything else… Room was meant to be a double bed but just 2 singles pushed together with the single bed sheets on still. Old decor bathroom. Staff not particularly helpful. Stayed with 20 colleagues on business trip and they wanted to charge us for printing fees for a document.

We were there for a family visit, you girls from the front desk were super nice. The next noon we then brunched the food was super tasty and the service you can't complain about either.
Only recommended.

Breakfast was very plentiful. The food in the restaurant was great and the price-performance ratio was right. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The only thing to mention is that the window in the room did not open nor let it close. The receptionist said that the windows should still be swapped.

Together with the nearby Maritim, the hotel, now called Leonardo Royal, was once one of the top addresses in Mannheim. The Leonardo has now lost this status, but it still scores with excellent staff and good food, but above all with its architecture. Built at the end of the 1920s in the style of the new objectivity, it drives everyone just a little interested in beautiful building visitors the tears in the eyes. Only the Flokati carpet in the room is inappropriate. Without him, I would have given five stars here immediately.

The first impression was very good, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and pleasantly furnished.
The room was great, everything you would expect from a good house.
There was a bottle of free water in the room, also coffee and tea were available (kettle & instant coffee/tea bags).
The room was comfortable and the bathroom was remarkably large. Pleasant was that there was a bathtub, instead of the most preexisting showers in hotels. Showers were still possible thanks to the partition walls on the bathtub.
The adjoining car park provided ample space and was accessed by direct access to the hotel. The price is quite acceptable at 12 €/day. I have seen this worse in other houses.
The hotel was centrally located, right on a main traffic point, but surprisingly quiet.
The breakfast was great and included with us in the room rate. The choice was huge — the only downside was the buns. We were very late at breakfast and the buns (maybe because of that) quite hard.
We will definitely be back next year.

Hotel is OK, for the price but already had better hotels booked. Despite renovation some shortcomings exist. Sauna and fitness area without WC. Sauna too small for the hotel and beware of slipping! What I loved, which was received on my wishes regarding rooms. And nice staff.

Rooms are spacious and functional but there's a mix of furniture styles and the bathroom needs revamping. The hotel is huge and breakfast is large and good. Quality of service is good.

Nice hotel, it's relatively close to most of the tourist sites and about a 8 minute walk to the main train station. Customer has been great, friendly and most of the stahh we have interacted with speak English. The only downside that I have found is the room tends to be hot and the AC doesn't seem strong enough to cool the room.

Very nice hotel in historic building with great location. Great and clean rooms as well as friendly staff. Unfortunately, in the rooms on the street you can hear them clearly, here some more isolated windows would be desirable.

The outdoor hang out is nice. They are very accommodating. They don't have a cappuccino machine during breakfast though.

Staff was professional. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were huge! Both dinner and breakfast were very good with a lot of variety. They even opened breakfast 15 minutes early for my tour group so we could leave earlier. Very kind.

Room is spacious and furnished in a modern way but it's missing more lights. Bathroom has a big tub and is very clean, but it needs more amenities. Breakfast buffet offers many different tasty things and there's a gym downstairs. Overall it's a good hotel.

Top staff. Very friendly, courteous, very flexible when it comes to checking in and checking out.
Hygiene: 8 out of 10 points and the breakfast buffet is optimal. (+the small additions at the reception)
All in all, one of the top hotels in Mannheim.
