Hotel Princess in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is Hotel Princess located, and what is nearby?

The hotel is located in Hanau/Rodenbach, in close proximity to the main road. Guests note that there are good shops and restaurants nearby. However, the location next to the main thoroughfare causes some inconvenience, as the noise makes it impossible to open the windows in the room.

Does the hotel have parking facilities?

Yes, the hotel has its own parking area. Guests describe it as excellent and note that parking is provided free of charge.

How courteous is the staff at Hotel Princess?

The staff and hotel owners are described as exceptionally friendly, welcoming, competent, and helpful. Guests note that the employees go above and beyond to accommodate visitor requests, including allowing a guest to sit in the breakfast area after check-out to participate in an online course.

What is the quality of breakfast at the hotel?

In most reviews, breakfast is rated as excellent, varied, fresh, and quite filling. Many guests describe it as "outstanding" compared to other services. However, one guest was dissatisfied with how the eggs were prepared, and another noted that the selection of dishes is more limited on Sundays, with service hours shortened to 8:00–10:00.

Is there good soundproofing in the rooms?

Soundproofing at the hotel is poor. Guests complain that the rooms lack adequate sound insulation, making conversations and loud televisions from neighboring rooms clearly audible, which can significantly disturb sleep.

What condition are the rooms in, and are the beds comfortable?

Opinions on room conditions are divided: some guests find them modern, clean, and spacious, while others describe the interior as outdated, reminiscent of the 1990s or even the 1960s. There are complaints about sagging and squeaky mattresses, as well as uncomfortable sofas in the apartments. Some rooms lack wardrobes, featuring open shelves instead.

How clean are the rooms and bathrooms?

Many guests praise the overall cleanliness, particularly highlighting the pristine condition of the mattresses and the absence of mold in the tile grout. Nevertheless, there are serious complaints regarding the cleanliness of some bathrooms, including mentions of stray hair, limescale in shower stalls, rusty tables, and dirty windows. A complaint was also noted regarding a dirty TV remote control.

How do the ventilation and air conditioning function?

The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, which guests praised for its efficiency during severe heat in Germany. However, some rooms have a significant issue with bathroom ventilation, which allows strong cigarette and marijuana odors to enter from neighboring rooms, causing discomfort for non-smokers.

What additional amenities are available in the rooms and on the floors?

Rooms are equipped with a minibar and a television (with Smart TVs in select rooms). A microwave and a kettle for preparing tea and coffee are available for guests on the shared landings.

Is there an elevator in the hotel, and is the building accessible for guests with reduced mobility?

The hotel is equipped with an elevator; however, according to one review, the property is not fully barrier-free.

10/10

My family and I were towards the back end of our family vacation and wasn’t expecting much in this smaller town. We ended up booking a few days at Hotel Princess since it was near family. All I can say is WOW! Once we got to our rooms we were so pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. It was spacious and maybe the first thing we “felt” was the ice cold AC in the room (especially since it was record breaking heat in Germany so far this summer). The room and place was so clean and felt so comfortable. We got to relax and unwind after a long day of traveling from Munich. If you are looking for a place to stay while in Hanau/Rodenbach, Hotel Princess is a must stay. The breakfast also was included and was very pleasant breakfast. The owners of the hotel helped check us in and he was very very nice and welcoming. They definitely catered to my family and I better than expected! 10 stars!
