I was am in your hotell and I ask to barowe a umbrella as it was raining hard and I just wanted to go to my car and bring my phone. The manager told me I can run to my car with no umbrella its just for guests. But I am! I am sitting in the bar. Then he said again — no umbrella.

The hotel look dated, unfriendly and unprofessional staff. As titanium Bonvoy member, we are 4 peoples traveling together. My brother was booked for 3 rooms, 1 executive suite with breakfast for 2 people, 1 superior room with breakfast for 2 people also and 1 superior room without breakfast. When we wanted to have breakfast in the morning, the restaurant staff told my brother that only 1 superior room (2 people) included with breakfast and he asked my brother to pay for 2 more people.
And my brother had explained to him that 2 of our room was included with breakfast, so we didn't need to pay anything,
but he still insisted that we had to pay for 2 more people because of their system showed the suite executive was not included with breakfast And then we asked him to reconfirm to the receptionist but still, our reservation was not included with breakfast in the reservation computer system. We had paid for executive suite room which was included with breakfast and we have shown the receptionist supervisor the evidence from the Bonvoy apps that shown the reservation was included with breakfast for 2 rooms (Executive Suite and 1 Superior room). The staff was act like we wanted to get free breakfast. This was really unpolite. We were really ashame because of that incident which actually was not because of our mistake. We have never been this kind of humiliation situation before.

Air was off, so we were hot the first 3 nights! The steam room is inop and that is an amenity that I would love! Staff was very friendly!

Our second night here, I can say it is a good place to stay, I feel relaxed, so quiet even outside.

The restaurant and beer garden in the city park are class. Appetizer with salmon and caviar highly recommended and Argentine rump steak very tasty.

Staff super friendly, nice and very attentive.

Prices quite expensive for normal conditions but quite normal for a hotel restaurant.

In addition, there is a beautiful panorama of City Park Essen.

You need to pay for TV and Wi-Fi. Basic things that I believed are included in the fee.

We had a lovely stay! The rooms where very clean and de reception was very helpfull and kind. Breakfast was really good!
We had a combination with 2 days of Moviepark and 1 night stay with breakfast.
Only 1 thing that bother us was with breakfast the lady came in twice to ask our roomnumber when we just had given it to her. She looked at us as if we werent staying in the hotel and that we were just random people who walked in to eat. So that was not a nice experience. And there were not many people who where eating so she couldnt just forget about us. But we are still coming back here!

Generous rooms, and the best hotel beds ever. Love the Wednesday happy hour with the cocktail of the month. What makes this hotel really great is the staff. They go out of their way to make your stay wonderful and always surprise you with an enchanting little detail.

When we arrived by taxi this evening, the employee came out of the reception and asked if she could help with the luggage. Excellent service!

For me the first time brunch at the Sheraton. The welcome cocktail was great and the service staff courteous. It was very clear to see the live music. A great Italian artist with a far-reaching repertoire.
The selection of appetizers was good and varied. Especially in the area of the main courses was the meat and the fish worth mentioning. Very good quality and workmanship.
Unfortunately, the live cooking during dessert was a small disaster in this context. Despite the really great flavored dough as well as the toppings, the preparation was unfortunately bad. The crepes were very small in relation to the plate and were broken again and again by the cook. This should happen at such a price category and if one offers Livecooking.
Despite this point of criticism it was a great lunch and I can only recommend the brunch.
We will come back and then there may be 5 stars:).

Lovely! I spent a weekend there and everything was superb. The room, the amenities, the staff were all excellent. I'd love to stay there again. Their restaurant was terrific and the morning breakfast buffet was amazing! A beautiful amenity plate of goodies was waiting for me in my room when I arrived. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I'd love to return.

Was probably 1987 the top hotel on the square. Breakfast very good. Staff friendly. Good location. But structurally and visually it cannot keep up. Windows are very noisy. Carpeting shows the signs of the Times. Design dark and conventional.

Recommended: Good location, nice staff, varied wellness offer, acceptable parking fees, delicious food, nice room with bathtub, cuddly bathrobe and a highly recommended breakfast. Top is the Ice cube machine in the hallway. Shortcoming is a very expensive room menu.

This is my third stay at the Sheraton Food and I am still very happy! Friendly and professional staff, good in-room dining, nice ambiance, (cubes in the hallways (very rare! ). I had one time a not yet upgraded room, also this was very comfortable and well maintained and is in the modernized rooms in nothing but the look. The underground car park with direct access to the hotel is very convenient. The special request for a baby cot was fulfilled within a few minutes after checkin, top! We will come back!

Dinner in no way corresponded to a 4stars hotel!
The vegetables were not only bite but almost raw. The sauce did not correspond to the menu.

Nice hotel with good location and competent staff.

Close to city, the Rü and Aalto Theatre. Lots of great restaurants and pubs nearby.

The hotel is nice and clean. My friend is on a wheel chair, can't walk or stand. This hotel have only ONE wheel chair room! Despite having one Room in the Hotel. The other issue is that the room is so small. Not enough to be able to move with a wheel chair inside the room. The room is all the way at the end of the hall way! Shouldn't it be close from the elevator!. Not sure how they made that design… on the other hand staff is so helpful. Will do anything to make the customer happy and have a pleasant stay. Thanks to the entire staff and the front desk people.

Comfortable rooms, good breakfast, Wi-Fi for a fee…

My stay was fine. Cleaning service was perfect. I think it looks bad when free Wi-Fi access in the rooms is not included in the standard. But, yes, in return we get good connection quality. This is very good place to stay. The staff is friendly and I feel taken care of.

Redone rooms, clean, good breakfast. Walking distance to hauptbahnhof.

Clean, classy, welcoming but expensive.

I sat in the lobby for 1 hour and no one approached me to ask if I would like to get something. Then I went by myself to the waiters to order a drink, it took 15 minutes to get it. After that I wanted to order food and I asked 3 different waiters (within 30 minutes) to bring me something to eat but no one helped! One said that I should order from my room coz it's 10:45pm (knowing that other guests in the lobby were being served food) The second one said no problem with dining in the lobby and she gave me the menu, then never came back to me to take my order! The third one said it's not her job but she will ask her colleagues… Again no one showed up! Now, thanks to the staff, I'm going to sleep hungry!

Breakfast is very good, the rooms are very clean and well equipped. But it is impossible that there is no free Wi-Fi!

Unfortunately rather a disappointing experience. We wanted to spend a night there during our weekend getaway. It started with the fact that there are no parking spaces in general, then the bed was ultra hard. Moreover, the interior is definitely aged and there was a passage to the room next to it. At night we heard how the guest from next door wanted to come to us. Here we will not stay overnight.

Check-in a bit slow. General facilities are fine, however room and amenities appear dated and could do with a refresh. Bathrooms are nice and bedding to notch. Overall gets the job done but room for improvement.

There is no free Wi-Fi in the rooms! You have to pay 20€ per day The rooms are really nice and clean.

In summer breakfast is served outside in the park where you see rabbits, squirrels. It is the best time of the day.

Lost my reservation, no acknowledgement from the staff to me as spg gold member, no amenities in my room until the housekeeper send it, the room is so hot and not the spg level room, and the Wi-Fi is on and off! Very bad experience for the first time I coming here in Essen.

Service very good as expected. Room very clean. Size and quality as expected. No free parking for hotel guest, no smoking area on the floor (need to go out of the hotel to smoke).

We found our stay very good. But we were a little shocked when we came for breakfast. Our table had not yet been cleared, which was not bad at all. But that the lady who cleared the table to our question if we might already sit down (we stood with our stroller in the middle of the away) the eyes twisted and drove us to stop please. We were very shocked. We wouldn't have expected that in a hotel with that name.

Check-in was horrible and unfriendly. I had to wait a long time, although I am SPG Platinum member. Then they didn't recognize my status; no upgraded room; club lounge access only after demand. Check-out was very unfriendly as well, she told me they have system maintenance and cannot make the check-out yet. I left a business card on the front desk and she told me she will send the invoice via e-mail… But no e-mail has arrived yet, so I have to call them again. The hotel itself is okay, the rooms are old, etc. I don't think you should book this hotel, sorry to say.

The Hotel has done to us and our friends the weekends to spoil! Apart from the doors has very, very little worked! It started with the elusive Musical-cards, and ended up, among many other things, with the ordered but forgotten birthday Breakfast. This was after the main course (except the one to Please again the card was handed to) for the Rest ignored. The nice, but overworked bartender, could with our Cocktail vouchers do anything! The Türkarten were after the first day off. Here there is a major problem in the Management. Again? No, thank you! Just had a call of the Executive Committee. We have detailed information on all the points exchanged. It was promised me that the points imTeam be discussed and everything done would be the shortcomings. Then, I can only say: mission accomplished.

I know hotel rooms by business associates but rather elsewhere restaurant.

I've eaten some time ago in the restaurant very good, points out we have a friend tonight to the food there invited, unfortunately never again, the service was even though only four tables occupied were not good, the food was okay, but each pizzeria would have been just as good.
Since we were then informed that the main course was not so great the dessert was recommended to us, unfortunately, the ice was ice cream with whipped cream and berries, because I was hungry and I thought ice would turn up even in the depths of the glass I ate it anyway. My husband left it, but it was still on the Bill. Am I now a few balls ice well in the restaurant that we have paid, but have not received?
There were apologies from the staff, but I was annoyed me very!
I want to invite more anyone in the future in this restaurant.

The very friendly and helpful staff (at least outside the restaurant) had to come up with new excuses, why ultimately hardly anything really worked, from the room through the restaurant to the Conference room. Rather poor for the price.

Hotel and restaurant, a single service disaster. In the restaurant / bar to wait slightly longer than 30 min. On a cold entree. On the second day it has replaced took the machine, again put the old broken on the third day. The air conditioner cools by about 1 ° c, when running it the whole night.
