Will take a sleeping bag and sleep outside next time. I stayed here with work on the 3rd of July 2018. Staff were friendly and polite whilst staying. Rooms were good. Air con was terrible and has been every time I've stayed. 3 times in the last 2 years (just doesn't work) and neither did my 5 colleagues. However my main problem was 2 weeks later (16 July) when I was billed €20 without any notice. I emailed Marriott customer care about this issue and got a reference of 45122907 and was told I would get an email back from the hotel within 5 working days. Never got an email back. Waiting for 3 weeks. I then phoned the hotel which I didn't want to do as calling Germany from the UK is expensive. I reluctantly called and was put on hold for 20 mins and then told they would investigate and phone me back. Obviously no phone call back and still €20 out of pocket with no reason. Starting to except that they just don't care. I obviously had a bad experience and I'd like to think this doesn't happen to everyone. Would not stay here again.

Great and friendly staff, lovely hotel, And good food. Nice little bar area which has decent draft beer and the schnitzel is definitely worth a go. The buffet breakfast is very decent as well. Rooms are clean and spacious, but the air conditioning struggles when it's hot outside, and won't get the room below 25 degrees. Only other snag is the gym which is pretty dire; just some running machines and a few loose weights. Overall, very good hotel but some better health facilities would be the icing on the cake.

Air-conditioner does not work. Even there are no openable windows in the room, hence make it more suffocation to stay in the room. Even after repetitive escalations, there are no more improvements from technical team.

The hotel is very clean and rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is really worth it. Located two blocks from the train and one block from the tram so you can be in downtown or the airport in less than 10 minutes.

The staff are very friendly and extraordinarily competent. The house as a whole is highly recommended!

Cheap hotel easily accessible by car. Clean room and friendly service. Comfortable beds. No noise from outside. However, parking costs €1am an hour in the adjacent car park.

Very nice Staff, great Service, very accommodating, very good Connection to Öff. Transportation, very clean. Always like to. Look Forward to the rooms for the New Year …

Very good hotel. We were here one night because of flight breakage. Not so far from the airport. Nice staff and large rooms.
Food in the restaurant was not very great but ok.
I can recommend the hotel to others.

The Hotel itself is very nice. Service is very good, very friendly. The Rooms are nice, clean and relatively big. Breakfast is good and a lot. The Hotelbar is also worth a visit.

Best times have been a bit. Service is right though. Prices salted. Location IO. Certainly gives better hotels, but you also don't do anything wrong.

This is a decent hotel in a town without top hotels. Average breakfast, good Wi-Fi, bland but well cared for decor. Small shop for snacks on premises. Easy walking distance to some restaurants but otherwise on a boring and quiet road. Gym. The staff were very nice and helpful. All in all a safe if unexciting stop in Dusseldorf.

Old but the rooms are very large for European standards. The gym is very good. The location is decent.

Classic Marriott Quality. Nice large rooms ideal for the business traveller. Garage under the hotel very helpful and price acceptable. Breakfast OK but very expensive.

We were in the course of a training for lunch at the hotel restaurant. Drinks and food were freshly prepared, the service friendly and fast. The vegetarian food certainly went a little more creative, but it tasted good.

We were a company of 12 people the staff was very attentive and friendly and also responded to special requests promptly you can really recommend also the price performance ratio fits. Always happy.

Is centrally located near the highway. Parking facilities in the underground garage. Pleasant upscale atmosphere with good food.

The place is Elegant, staff is kind and very close to the airport. But you need to try really hard to open your door with your key. Thair card readers are too old to do its job properly.

Nice business hotel. Clean, well maintained and with friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is below explanation compared to the price they charge for it.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to. Even the internet has a price tag. Save your taste buds and avoid this place.

Located near the tram where you can teach the city center within 15 minutes you can find a very nice business hotel. Large rooms with very comfortable beds. The only small downfall I could find was the quality of the food not being consistent. The veal liver was undercooked, but this fault was duly corrected. I enjoy visiting this hotel.

Good food, very friendly staff and everything is very clean. The entire interior is of course a matter of taste.
Conclusion: If I were to go on holiday in Düsseldorf instead of living there I would decide for the Renaissance Hotel.

No executive lounge, but otherwise nice hotel. Rates were fantastic, great deal.

I chose this hotel as it was closer to the airport than where I had been staying to make catching the morning flight easier. This rooms are in need of a remodel. While they are acceptable, they seem to have been done last about 10 years ago. The restaurant food was delicious and I was even able to have dessert delivered to my room. Good service!

A very nice and big hotel. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Rooms are very large with plenty of space. The bed was really good. Everything is not quite as modern. Underground parking is directly at the hotel and has a lot of space. In the city it is a bit more difficult to walk.

Large hotel, underground car park with many seats, beautiful rooms, very large beds, good work, bright hallways, nice staff — very warm, Wi-Fi expensive, good breakfast, very attentive banquet service — restaurant with indoor atmosphere.

Very nice hotel, with large rooms and tasteful décor. Breakfast is American and very rich. You can only recommend the hotel.
Be it for an overnight stay or for the holding of meetings.

Poor service and pure rip-off. First a contest and if you ask for the double price on the spot.

Convenient to Dusseldorf airport and Ratingen, a bit dated but well maintained. No executive lounge but breakfast included for Elite members.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is moldy. As a business hotel okay. Around no business… you just have to take a tram to the city centre.

Service was unfriendly and overwhelmed during my visit with a group.
Rooms were OK but not better than in comparable hotels which are cheaper.

Pleasant hotel with a nice bar area, serving good food. Good variety at breakfast, and all staff very friendly. The only 'negative' is that the rooms were very warm (a few guests mentioned this) and there is no AC in the rooms.

Not my favourite Marriott / Renaissance hotel. Room was fine. Restaurant okay. But just not the normal excellent standard of others that I've stayed in.

One thing which makes this hotel standing out compared to others in the same price range is their restaurant! My dinner was well cooked (I had meat), and the was seasoning was great. Breakfast was no disappointment either. Otherwise it is clean and staff is helpful, but that's expected from this company.

I love the modern decor of this place along with the naked mannequins greeting you as you exit the elevators. Check in staff was very pleasant and acknowledged my status with marriott. Can't say the same about checkout staff but customer service was exceptional and handle the complaint professionally. This hotel is a perfect place to stay when you have an early morning flight out of Dusseldorf. Taxi is approx 22euro and hotel has their own taxi line so makes it easy early in the morning. Rooms and overall hotel is clean. Hotel restaurant is okay but a bit pricey.

My 3rd time staying here in the past few years. Last time was almost 2yrs ago. As always the service was great, the area outside is nice and quiet to sit and enjoy a drink or have a cigar (away from the building of course). My go to place when going to Düsseldorf or passing through from the airport going elsewhere.

Before choosing a hotel to stay at one must consider what they are looking for. If you are hoping to find a swimming pool, a sauna, a fitness center, then this hotel is not for you. The rooms are clean-cut and refreshing. The beds are comfortable. The restrooms are clean and the water temperature runs steadly; this is very important because there are a lot of good quality hotels with this issue. The breakfast is tasty. Especially if you are big fan of pork beacon and sausage like I am. The hotel overall nice and clean. The staff is mostly nice, but the management is very poor. Overall, it is a good enough hotel. However, when considering the price I'm not sure it's worth it.

It is quite strange that assigned me a room 111 which for disablity. It is the first time I found a hotel which tail-made for disability, seems good UX. It will be better if front desk told me before I move in.
Look like hospital washroom is acceptable but the strange smell is really back, even open the door for 2 hours, smell still there. Remember: don't move in 111 only you want UX.
Great lobby and nice mini bar with free snack and coffee.

Stayed here a few times on business. A decent hotel, free Wi-Fi, good breakfast, BBC TV channels and a garage across the road if you need snacks etc. Staying here again soon.

At the beginning of December, I have stayed on the occasion of a meeting of a company in this Hotel. For cash payers, this Hotel is not recommended. Despite paying for Bed and Garage in advance a Deposit fee (Deposit) in the amount of 100, — Euro has to be paid. When paying cash (without a credit card number) is identified at this Hotel as a possible cheater. Even after a long consultation with the hotel management, it was not want to. On the day of departure you do not need to stand in the long line to leave without the 100, — Euro to the Hotel. In addition to the negative customer classification this behavior is completely illogical, on the Please, to an acceptance of my room (all towels, TV, mini-bar contents, etc. ) didn't want to get involved with. The light black mould (photos are available) in the joints over the bath I can see, but not on discrimination as a so-called "cash payer" (without providing a credit card number). I'll steer clear of the Marriott hotel chain and my experience accordingly, and in the future when booking on-friendly Hotels access. Joachim Schneider.

A further attempt, this Hotel Cultuzz voucher (with which, I up to this Hotel! book very good experience I made) has failed again. To me, the reservation of the DZ was confirmed by phone but not booked a room. So I was sitting on Packed suitcases and 2 Tickets, the hotel room was missing. Bolder way, I was offered a room, which I would have been able to book additional: 160 Euro / per night. Personally, I find it very rude, because the voucher was recorded for a "Deluxe double room".

Super Hotel! Was already often there — in the past, as an overnight guest, today, more, to book events. It was already very good, but a bit dusty; today it shines in new splendor

Hotel is not bad… rooms are big, good staff, I have only one comment on air conditioning, which is poor. AC is not cooling they should fix thier AC.

I was a coach driver for a group of school children. We arrived at the Hotel at 1400hrs but were unable to get a room before 1645hrs. However, visiting Aircrew and foreign guests all received their rooms on arrival. I feel that, as a group, the reception staff weren't interested in assisting us as our bill was already paid by the tour company! The hotel is very nice, but customer service from the reception staff leaves a lot to be desired!
