If you're not giving this place a four or a five, you probably didn't stay here. The Auszeit hotel was a great experience from checkin to checkout, and I was surprised that it was such a good deal too. When I checked in late at night after arriving to Düsseldorf, the front desk was very nice and fluent in English. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. I was surprised it was so spacious, because I didn't pay much at all. I also loved how the windows opened up completely, and it made the room bright and not stuffy. There was free tea and coffee in the room along with toiletries to use. But the best part of the hotel was probably breakfast. If you're really into food or have special dietary restrictions or something, this is the place to be. In addition to having dozens of toppings and homemade jams and yogurts and smoothies, there are also diary-free, lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan choices too. The gluten free section had just about everything you can imagine. It was amazing. And if European-style breakfasts aren't your thing, they have scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage to remind you of home. If you want a drink, the wonderful staff will serve you coffee or cappuccino or espresso even. Overall, this was a great hotel and a great experience and well worth the low prices. The only suggestion I would have is about the room. I think the hotel needs to update the towels and bed covers to white instead of gray and red. It is difficult to tell how clean the towels and bed are with the darker colors. It would just be more comforting to have towels and linens that you can see are clean.
