Nice place chocolate variety but a little bit expensive.

Interesting the ground floor but I advise spending the money from the entrance to buy chocolate in the store.

The room is totally different than the picture of booking website. Wi-Fi worked not well, didn't feel comfortable, booked 3 nights, and stay just 2 nights, had to change another hotel. The only advantage is the location.

We Visited Cologne from the 15th to the 17th of December, for our misfortune it was a last minute trip and this was one of the few options we had of lodging.
I Start by saying that we have contacted German consumption to handle a formal complaint of this establishment.
Towels, sofa, floor, chairs… All broken and in bad shape. The fridge had to unplug it just to get the noise it made. You couldn't sit In the chairs, you'd fall. From The Bathroom Now we understand that there were pictures, we were three days without showering. The apartments are supposed to be non-smoking but the pestazo when we arrived in the evenings at that place was impossible.
They Had put a blanket over the couch so that the state of conservation was not seen.
Really, don't go, let's not feed this kind of scammers.

We stayed in a-partment I. The Wi-Fi was too weak to even send a message. Our apartment was not as described or as shown in the pictures. The website shows bright and spacious rooms with seating and living areas. Our's was very dark and very cramped. There was a high desk with 2 bar stools but no leg room at it. The linen was ripped and dirty and the sheet was not the right size so it didn't properly cover the bed. There were blood stains on the bathroom mat. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom that was painted over without being cleaned or treated properly. It would help if there was an extractor fan or an air vent but there isn't. There isn't a window in the bathroom either so the whole apartment would be humid if someone had a shower. The place was not equipped with towels or enough cutlery. It was described as having a dvd player but there was none there. There was a TV but there was no signal to get any channels. The blinds were broken and dirty. Be warned also that the doorbell does not work.

The Museum is not at all interesting. The production process of chocolate and its growth and so well represented on television. Even in more detail. On the ground floor of the Museum there is a chocolate shop — Yes, it is worth to go there! But the museum itself does not recommend.

My wife loves chocolate so we went to The Chocolate Museum when in Cologne. We choose not to take a tour and instead walked around ourselves, the first part was the history of chocolate which I found a little boring but my wife enjoyed. The next part was the making of various chocolate products and a chocolate fountain where they give you some tasters, you can also order your own personalised chocolate here. There is a café with great river view and a gift shop full of various chocolate related products from all over the world. Worth a visit especially for children or those that love chocolate. Check opening times if you've visiting on Mondays as they are generally closed except for July/August, December and a few other dates.

Very interesting. The chocolate fountain is definitely the highlight. It would be nice if you could try something more. For smaller children rather unsuitable, as much to see and read is what the kiddies not interesting find.

Great if you like museums. It begins with an overview of what chocolate is, its consumption around the world, and a short rainforest walk to see the plants. You then go to a Lindt factory, where you can see all the machines used to make chocolate and try a sample. I found the making of hollow chocolate figures to be pretty cool. You can also buy a custom chocolate bar here and watch them make it for you. It then goes through the cultural history of chocolate from well before European explorers to the present. Everything in the museum is in German and English. I went for about two hours until the closed. It definitely was not enough time if you plan to take your time looking around and reading everything. There's also a chocolate cafe, which was closed before I got back out, and a chocolate store that has some fun chocolate pieces.

Excellent museum recycled, that chocolate accompanied the cocoa from the plant up to the table. The factory is very good. Nice souvenirs. Unfortunately very fully, without advance registration possibility the prospect of a leadership missed unfortunately.

Good for bad weather days. You'll learn how chocolate is made, how it is traded, how much we consume it and a mini Lindt chocolate factory, where chocolate is actually made.

On the Rheinauhafen peninsula, the Chocolate Museum is located directly on the Rhine in a ship-like glass and metal building. The Museum shows the 3000-jährigen history of chocolate from cocoa cultivation to production. The highlight and the great chocolate fountain is not just for kids.
The Museum is certainly interesting, but admission somewhat too expensive especially for families. Café in the Museum is beautifully designed, it has great views of the Rhine but the service is very bad! Too bad actually
The shop is overpriced, you can get the chocolate cheaper in any store.

"Bean to Bar" is the concept. You get explained everything about chocolate from the bean up to the final table. For chocolate lovers, only of limited suitability for children. Where the Buam with liquid chocolate is an exception at the end of the exhibition here.
Architecturally, the Museum is still interesting, because it is like a ship on the shore.

If you're in Cologne don't forget to take a stroll down the Rhine Garden to this place. Offers interesting exhibits about the history of chocolate and it's production process. There is a model factory from Lindt where you can see the production process and at the end there is a chocolate fountain where you'll be offered a taste of the chocolate produced there. There are also several shops where you can buy nice chocolate for a decent price.

Very interesting as a museum. Unfortunately, many people are on the road. At the chocolate fountain has what get chocolate on a waffle. It would have tasted probably better if the Schokotunkerin would have been something friendly.

For its originality and willingness.

Chocolate and more chocolate. Good for bad weather days. Interesting for kids too. Some diy for kids makes it fun incl. Tastings.

Educational. Clean and well organised. Tasters available. You also can order your own individualised chocolate bar. Lovely riverside cafe offering tasty deserts.

Expensive and not very tasty.
For me the usual store-bought chocolate tastes better that offer to buy into a "Museum". From an interesting chocolate with hemp and as Cuban cigars and views from the observation deck, but can be reached 24 hours a day without going to the Museum.

I loved see the process of creation of the chocolate bars, very interesting this Museum.

Do not order for a glass of tap water in the cafeteria of the museum: they charge 2.50 euros, and prices hot chocolate and cake are expensive, and the hot chocolate is not good, very watery.
Also if you want to enter the museum they are 9 euros, and not at all worth it.
No se te ocurra pedir un vaso de agua del grifo en la cafetería del museo: te cobran 2, 50 euros, y los precios del chocolate caliente y la tarta son carisimos, y el chocolate caliente no es nada bueno, muy aguado.
Además si quieres entrar en el museo son 9 euros, y no merece para nada la pena.

In the Rhine we found with this museum dedicated to the chocolate. You can see live the process of manufacturing of "pills" of chocolate, from the base until its packaging end.
Account in its halls history the cocoa, their trade and different presentations, advertising, and molds. There is a small garden with heat and humidity similar to the jungle also?
