Beautiful hotel. Staff is very friendly! Food is very tasty. The breakfast was already better. (Selection not so large. Probably Corona conditional)

Very nice beer garden, friendly staff.

In the bridge tower, the rooms (especially the carpet) are not to my taste, but still practically furnished. The reception is staffed 24 hours a day with helpful and nice people. Breakfast includes eggs prepared according to your own wishes and a waffle iron, as well as a large and tasty selection of bread, cereal and topping.

Too bad for the evening!
We were with 3 people on 18.08. Eat at the restaurant at 9 p. M.
The cutlery was uncovered after 20 minutes without the ordered drinks. The "greeting from the kitchen" was served to the main course after the plates had been cleared again. A reordered beer was not served at all.
A friendly farewell or an apology "misrepresentation"!
The subsequent conversation with the restaurant manager was also very disappointing.
It should be noted that the staff who served us missed the job.

A hotel that pays attention to the well-being of its guests at all levels. Comfort, well-being and culinary journey.
A wonderful atmosphere, very tastefully decorated with attention to detail, both the rooms and the rest of the house. Everything super clean, the room is cozy, large, the bathroom leaves nothing to be desired. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is simply indescribable, a wide and varied selection of all in quiet cosiness. We were very happy guests and would like to thank you for everything.

Great large and air-conditioned rooms, with us it was very clean, we had a great view. On the first day it was quiet, on the second there were more rooms occupied and it was understandable where the neighbors were. Nevertheless, all in all, worth a recommendation! And then the breakfast! Wow, there's absolutely nothing missing… Thank you very much! If you are allowed to eat now, as long as there is still something on your plate and it is not cleared, then it is magnificent!

My rating only applies to the beer garden. Location is top. Very cozy. But very very expensive! Therefore only 3 stars. We fell over when we received the bill. Of course we are to blame ourselves and should have looked into the map beforehand. But that is out of the match. We will never go there again and do not recommend it.

Nice hotel with a nice location. It's not super luxury atleast not the room I had but it's comfortable enough. Only slight issue I had is that the curtains do let in some light and the room is not completely dark. Breakfast options are excellent.

I would like to go into my 5 — star rating in more detail.
The hotel "Old Shipyard" is characterized by very friendly, helpful and excellently trained staff. We felt very comfortable.
Our room was very clean and bright. The beds were extremely comfortable. There were buttons waiting for our dog and a "treat. " Which is not a given in most hotels.
The breakfast buffet was rich and beautifully prepared.
We will be very happy to come back!

Rooms are beautiful. Location is right on the canal, from there you can go for a nice walk. Rooms have air conditioning.

Top Hotel. Rooms may not be hypermodern but good and generously cut. Shower is also quite spacious. Breakfast, however, is mind-boggling. Different types of fish, scrambled eggs, honey from the waabe, fruits and vegetables, the several types of fruit juice, sausage and cheese, waffles etc. Even special requests are executed with pleasure — lukewarm cocoa, which was perfect lukewarm.
The staff is friendly and helpful throughout. I can only recommend further.

We were the first time for Christmas brunch and have been positively surprised … apart from the delicious rich food … the staff is very attentive and friendly … a very pleasant atmosphere … we enjoyed the stay … and will definitely come back …

Very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and modern. The bathroom is quite large.
Breakfast is very extensive and with freshly prepared dishes, such as waffles, pancakes and scrambled eggs.
The staff is very friendly and professional.

We only tried brunch with the family there. This one is really very extensive and of very good quality. The restaurant is also very child-friendly. The service was very nice and the restaurant has many apprentices but what you don't notice in the service.
Update: Brunch only once a month so call in advance and ask.

Large almost corporate hotel in an old shipbuilding warehouse. Nice location surrounded by water although a walk into the small town. Very comfortable and large rooms, good free Wi-Fi, car parking on site, drinks a moderate hotel prices, food ok.

Conveniently located. Clean room. It has an industrial appeal… quite amazing to find an overhead crane in the restaurant.

Wir haben dort nur den Brunch mit der Familie probiert. Dieser ist wirklich sehr umfangreich und von sehr Qualität. Das Restaurant ist zudem sehr Kinderfreundlich. Der Service war sehr nett und das Restaurant hat viele Azubis was man im Service jedoch nicht merkt.

The room was well decorated and had good amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is of a very high quality.

You won't find a better hotel in Papenburg. Tons of character from its heritage in the shipbuilding trade, but modernly updated. Fantastic staff and great breakfast buffet with omelet bar.

Great locale within historic ship yard.

Good breakfast, bad restaurant. We stayed with a group and were asked to pre order or dinner. Still took more than an hour for the food to arrive, service was average at best.

A great Hotel! Not so 0815 like all the others. Time for something else. This Hotel stands out not only in terms of equipment, but also in terms of Service! Very professional and friendly!
