The Spa is small but ok. The applications were led by a gum-chewing and lip-smacking lady by. The Restaurant was the Horror. Service Team partly as unskilled and messy. Eat consistently with Spermint messed up. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Residence was claimed by the organiser.

The Service is completely overloaded and has no structure.

Went here for my birthday and can recommend for a special occasion. You need to be mobile as lots of corridors and stairs. Lovely pool, which I had to myself and the food and wine, although higher priced than other places we had visited was excellent. Room small with creaky floorboards and sink could do with being replaced but comfortable. Wi-Fi was free.

Very nice quiet hotel. Breakfast very good. Staff very friendly and nice. The wellness — and sauna area leaves nothing to be desired. Since the water castle is listed, there are no elevators. Therefore, only to a limited extent recommended for disabled people. Some long distances within the plant. Restaurant highly recommended.

A fairytale place. A nice room, a nice service and delicious food. The restaurant is right on the waterfront and provides a romantic climate. Perfect for the weekend far away from the city. Recommended!

If you want to spend a quiet and relaxed weekend or longer, you are in good hands here. Changing events, special arrangements or just peace of mind. Interesting environment. Nature.

I spent an eerily relaxing day with my husband here including overnight stay. He had planned this as a surprise afterwards to the wedding day and planned it at absolutely short notice. After 3 phone calls, a complete package was booked including massage for both.
The staff were very helpful and quick, unobtrusive and absolutely nice.
The kitchen was highly recommended. A very large selection at breakfast and a selected evening menu, where the chosen food tasted absolutely great to us.
The selected room was bright with views of the castle's beautiful courtyard. What is unbeatable is the absolute tranquility and seclusion of this place. You go home very relaxed.

Get the wrong room, new room dirty old and stinks of old smoke. Absolutely not customer-friendly. NOT recommended. Once and NEVER again.

The surroundings are very beautiful. The hotel in the middle of nature. The staff helpful and very friendly. From here you get there well everywhere. Wernigerode, Quedlinburg etc. All less than 35 km away. Just awesome!

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, you have come to the Westerburg Water Castle. A very idyllic setting far away from the hustle and bustle.
Room equipment in the comfort area is sufficient for a wellness stay, but you can expect something different in the price category. The blue lagoon is recommended. The food is delicious, the restaurant ambience is uhrig.

Place is awesome. But foods are ok.

Great Hotel! Very far away (here Fox and Hare say good night) and still in the middle of the Harz. Several big cities are easily accessible, but also just bum (I meant resting) and a bit of swimming can be very good here.

Very nice hotel to relax. Great room Nice spa nice vaulted restaurant. Very secluded. Ample parking space. The rooms in the entrance tower are still old but the rooms in the courtyard are modern and beautiful. The food very good. Really great for meetings. Nice meeting rooms.

Very nice hotel and very good spa area. The food is also very good. However, if you take a closer look in the bathroom, a small renovation would be necessary here and there.

At least our room already very well weaned and somewhat stopped furnishings (bathroom). Mold in windows testifies to a lack of care for/interest in stockkeeping. It was a really bad food. No trace of wellness, strange combinations, with many ingredients as finished products and totally jagged vegetables.
Top is the great quiet location and the attractive wave area.

We had a themed room that was super luxurious. There was really nothing to complain about.
The food was great and we rented the romantic spa in the evening. Since the heat bench did not work, our complaint was received by the management and a conversation took place. Something can always go wrong and I am happy about the open ear and the insight of the hotel management, who compensated us.
The breakfast was rich and very good!
So we had a great stay with lots of relaxation and relaxation.

Spa&Wellness area very nice, on the Saturday we were there however very crowded.
Partly unfriendly reception staff, who had to pull everything out of their noses on arrival.
Long distances from the room to the wellness area, some of which are not heated (in January even me too fresh to go just in a bathrobe).
Cleanliness on arrival topp. Daily housekeeping rather bad (no vacuuming, beds made loveless…)
Restaurant: everything from excellent food to ready meals from the bag have been there.
All in all, I expected more at 4 stars and corresponding price.

Not a 4 Star standard in my Eyes. In addition to unfriendly Staff and an 80s culinary Standard with Eg Boiler Goulash and Ice Cream, this Hotel is also children unkind. Rooms smell musty and the Bathroom has smelled of Sewer. This was even confirmed by an Employee. When it became a Chief Thing, it became very unpleasant and we had to justify ourselves and cancel the Trip prematurely. In addition, over 350, — paid for an Overnight Stay with bad Food for 2 Adults and two Children … Never again!

When I was Giving the place for the New Year's Eve celebration at the Restaurant, I heard one Waitress to another say that Bookingcom Customers are supposed to get the worse Seats. By Order of the Boss. I also addressed This to our Conspicuously small Room and was turned away in an extremely arrogant Way that became almost giddy to me. I also noticed how the Staff is spreading Anxiety when the Boss is nearby. A Strangeness that I have not experienced as a Frequent Traveller. Never again!

Came to late to visit pool or sauna (up to 9pm. ) but atmosphere of rooms and surroundings is hundread years time leap kept with contempotary comfort. Delicious and diverse breakfast.

Was only by chance there. But was very enthusiastic about the farmyard from the outside. Plan to spend 1-2 nights in the future.

We spent a wonderful weekend with you. The staff is very nice and attentive and the equipment with great attention to detail. We are very happy to come back.

Incredible place… I love it.

This is a really lovely hotel. It isn't particularly close to many other places — definitely need your own transport to visit here. The rooms are beautiful and feature stone walls, but are a little small. The staff all speak excellent English and are very welcoming.

Nice Rooms, very quite. The breakfast is very good and with a lot of choices. Only the Internet and mobile connection is worse.

All in all a very very nice place to relax.
Had a themed room which was very lovingly and stylishly decorated.
The spa and wellness area offers good hours to relax.
What I still lack in the spa and wellness area is a whirlpool with warm or hot water.
This would offer even more relaxation than the existing whirlpool.
The massages in the beauty farm are very noteworthy.
As far as hygiene is concerned, I must also say that I have seen some dirt in the spa and in the stairs from time to time.
The staff is incredibly friendly and very keen to make it right.
Now to the part why there were only four stars instead of five.
Since it was only about rest during this visit and therefore the food played a minor role, it was only necessary to remove a star.
The buffet we were allowed to "enjoy" was really absolutely not edible.
Steaks and sausages were not to be outdone in taste of artificiality.
The rest of the buffet then kept itself from the school grade system also rather in the 4-part area.

The Outside and the Spa area are absolutely recommend to. The staff was always eager to have a friendly demeanor. The Hygiene and amenities in the comfort rooms were abysmal and the price of the room is inappropriate. To not recommend. Examples: overlapping the end of the bed very small living room, only the view, cleaning (lots of dust), cable clutter in the room, a lot of hair, the sheets under the bed sheet in double bed, (no madratze already), substandard sanitary facilities and equipment.

The exterior and the spa area are absolutely recommended.
The staff was always ready for a friendly appearance.
The hygiene and equipment of the comfort rooms were miserable and the price of the room that is inappropriate. Not to be recommended. Examples: overlapping sheets in the bed, very small living-room, only term cleaning (dust), cable clutter in the room that much hair under the bed sheet (no Madratzenschonbezug), inferior sanitary facilities.

The rooms are excellent. They are quiet and I have recovered just fine.
I recommend this hotel to all travellers.

Great historical ambience. Owners and staff will ensure that you feel completely comfortable. A recommendation for couples — whether young or old.
The spacious Spa also increases the level of comfort.

Dear castle Team, love "Schlossgeister". Our stay with them was unfortunately much too short, but beautiful! All staff were always courteous, very attentive and have the Stress of but sometimes it pays not to let on. Thanks also again for the little attention on the occasion of my birthday :) Even after years of experience in the field of the middle ages, we can only guess what kind of work and effort, but also how much heart and soul into your treasure is. Where gem is really not the right expression; Schloss Westerburg is simply huge. The Restaurant is the way in nothing; a wonderful selection of treasures at reasonable prices. The prices are certainly a bit higher, but considering the effort must be driven to them to hold, they are probably justified. Particularly to emphasize I would like Mrs. Duckstein and her colleague in the field of beauty salon. Both ladies were always very caring but not Intrusive. Thank you for this! The end of our stay and our personal Highlight was the Lutherabend. Been long we have not so amused (incl. Dancing on the lawn) and the entertainment along with the food very much. Even musical desires were promptly implemented! All in all, I can only say; Schloss Westerburg is determined us goodbye.

12. October 2014 Grüezi, if the beautiful moated castle (castle) of the holders of not new great life has been expanded, you would have this little gem to re-invent. An absolute MUST for every visitor of the resin. An ideal starting point for exploring the Harz mountains and a visit to the historic area. We are absolutely delighted and will certainly be in half a year, at our next North (East) — Germany visit there again a few days book. We have already found across Europe in many large and small castles and palaces, and stayed the night. For nostalgics like us, your house is an absolute Highlight. The size of the system very clearly (the way in the house, however, something mysterious but still very interesting). Rooms are very nice and sanitary rooms perfectly renovated. The Restaurant is highly recommended. Price — performance is absolutely fine. 4 stars are well deserved for the historic site, the Hotel, the SPA, Restaurant and friendly Service. Damn. There is really nothing to complain about. Hopefully you keep this enormous investment. The assistance of the EU and other funders in this case is a MUST and is absolutely fine. This hotel leaves nothing to be desired. It is very quiet and ideal to relax. The Service is very accommodating and the staff friendly. The food is really very good and varied. The price for both Night as well as gastronomy is rather in the upper Segment to settle. You get individual rooms, the ambiance of an old castle, and is still state of the art facility. The wellmessbereiche are clean and worth seeing. We were certainly not the last time here. For a short vacation, a break, highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the Wasserschloss Westerburg only in two areas really score: The building is very nice (at least in the Parts that have been restored true to the original) and the pool/Spa area is very pleasant and invites you to Relax. In Terms of Service, we have kindness are missed. Only rarely gave us the employees time, a Smile — it hung at each corner of any Spells that a Smile nothing would cost etc (a bit odd in the picture), we also had more the impression, that it is in the competence of a little hitch and the staff rather sloppy taught and was thus much somehow even had to piece together. We have it perceived as inappropriate, a room for 198 euros/night booked and a salad for 5.50 Euro to order (but only 5.50 Euro was worth of preparation).
