Small welcoming hotel with a special charm. All were very friendly and the waffles a Highlight. We would love to come again :)

From the entrance to the double room on the third floor, the hotel made a very unkempt impression. Dirt and renovation needs as far as you look. The double room cost around 80 euros with breakfast, as well as the single rooms of our friends in the basement (! ). A room of it didn't even have a window. Due to the circumstances, I thankfully gave up breakfast, but according to our friends it was good. In my opinion, however, the price-performance ratio in this hotel is not at all right.

We thought it was a perfect hotel for a familly, staff was friendly, very welcoming, the breakfast was great with fresh waffles cooked on demand. We sure will stay again as we come often to Braunlage.

We stayed 5 days there and have been super received great rooms, great breakfast for everyone what!
The service was also great we will be happy to come back!

Can only report positive, booked for a spontaneous excursion 2 nights. Rooms clean, slightly cramped but cozy. Parking always something free, breakfast also delicious.

We're here for the second time and everything is at the highest level. Accommodation, breakfast, staff … Everything top … Just recommended!

The hotel is very old. The room was dirty, cold and noisy. As of 6am, staff have rattled with bottles and popped doors. The only positive ones are the location close to the centre of the village and the really delicious waffles for breakfast.

Price performance is i. O. Cleanliness could be slightly better … However, for this price i. O.

My experience at this hotel was not very good, but still not very bad. I would like to say this: it almost meets its 2 stars. The rooms are actually quite pretty, only there are some small flaws here and there. What I personally liked most was the food. However, what I didn't like so much is that there is really no extra Stockdose, so you can charge your devices there. My tip: Prefer to bring a multiple socket here. But the bathroom was good for 2 stars. Cleanliness is also clear.
And that in a double room 2x2 beds seem to me somewhat unnecessary; In our case this was simply annoying.
Conclusion: For individuals who do not intend to stay there for more than a few days, the hotel is still clear. But for a longer (resin) holiday with several people I would rather advise against it.

We stayed there at the weekend with three young children to enjoy the snow again. Apart from the fact that we had our room on the third floor and the "staircase" there was rather a ladder from the upper third without railings, in the shower room by the window and the shower is mold (very child-friendly). The two fire extinguishers (after all there were some) expired in 2001 and 2002. To the "staircase" down there was nothing that could be closed for protection. There are chairs for this, some of which can collapse when you just look at them; with removable armrest… A room is equipped with a window, which seems so unstable that you have to be afraid to fall from the third floor when it is touched. And, fitting ly to the attic, there is hardly an area in which you can stand as a normal person, since everything consists of sloping roofs. In general, it seemed like an emergency solution, but a very expensive one. For this there are waffles for breakfast… Not comparable to the website!

A super hotel.
The rooms are quite fine, nicely decorated and clean. Perfect to stay overnight after a hard day's skiing. There is a ski cellar and all day free coffee and tea and water at the warming fireplace!
The breakfast is very hearty and plentiful!
Only the parking facilities are limited.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the hotel, rooms were ok for sleeping, but just for sleeping, the breakfast was not great, on 2 days it was so crowded that you had no seat, so I was somewhere else to have breakfast, the pictures are nicer than the original. A pity for the price…

Were a bit disappointed by the hospitality on the day of arrival. And an even damp duvet is an absolute nogo… too bad actually.

Pleasant and cosy, its family atmosphere makes the stay very pleasant.

Few or catastrophic parking spaces available, breakfast without great expectations acceptable, room and bathroom way too small for the requested rates, family room is not recommended, conclusion: price/performance is not right at all!

The hotel is perfectly located for business. The Russian owners are friendly and very nice. Breakfast is simple but good. There were fresh waffles! All in all, a recommendation.

Very cozy place in the winter, hot and nice. The food reflects in the German people a tradition never ending.

We were very pleased. The price/performance ratio is right.
The rooms, including The room was very clean and comfortable. Especially the very friendly and courteous appearance of the staff, the so typical Russian hospitality, was unmistakable and has done us very well. The guest is still in the first place.
We stayed in the Tower room, certainly a special feature in brown location. But I should not have been much fatter.
As a birthday boy I was able to sit at a lovingly covered breakfast table — with candlelight and a guest gift from the management — and enjoy the rich breakfast, with fresh waffles brought to the table.
Who expects a boutique hotel is out of place! Those who want to feel like "nuts" are just right here. We'll be glad to come back.

A hotel from the last millennium exudes its special charm. The owner leads the hotel with passion and the entire staff is committed to the well-being. In particular, the rich breakfast is served by the fireplace.

Rooms are simply furnished but clean. The hotel location is great. Breakfast: Something for everyone and always freshly refilled. Staff very friendly.

We were very happy for the 2 stars, very good value for the price, the breakfast super tasty with fresh waffles so other 2 star hotel where man does not offer this. The owners make every effort to satisfy the guests, but there are also people who write a review with too high expectations of the hotel. Rooms are clean also the sheets, we were very satisfied.

We stayed there for 7 days and felt comfortable! Completely sufficient! I'd like to come back.

The morning breakfast was okay. But the rooms, reception and hallway was disgusting. My family and I have just stayed there for 5 days on a ski trip, and not once have they cleaned our room during the 5 days. (and the room was very cold) It says that they have a bar/restaurant, but they dont. I would not recommend it.

The Hotel is currently under construction or in the renovation. You notice Geräuschetechnisch but nothing. The staff is friendly. Since it's Russian owner, there are a few language problems.

We booked a room with a shared bathroom but we were offered the same money for a room with a shower and a toilet that was certainly nice. The hotel is close to the mountain, and we left the car at the parking lot and walked to the elevator foot with skis. ”.
