Beautifull quiet place 👍👍👍

We spent the night, my husband and I, and our son a couple of days ago. What an adventure! There is a certain quirkiness to the place, wonderful surprises in house and garden which has a covered seating area — the garden itself is up a slope — that's the nature of the Bad Bentheim where the castle is on a hill. There is even a music theatre with chairs adapted to its slope. The hospitality is really great. Hennekens Hof is quaint with a homely and welcoming feeling. Our son has down syndrome and is afraid of stairs — no problem, we have an other way to get to the rooms which doesn't involve climbing stairs but just a few steps here and there through the garden, storage room… The comments of other people, who were staying there, were something like: We really like it here — it's so different — this place makes us smile — we've been here before and/or we will come back for sure — it has a lovely atmosphere… The room we were in was more like a flat with its own kitchen, spacious bathroom and comfortable beds. You can hear the goings on in the street below, when windows are open, but it didn't disturb our sleep — it just made us feel that this is a place with life. It is really a special place, well worth a visit.
