We stayed at this place for one night, but should have booked for more since we liked the place and the mountain air did wonders for my sons asthma. The room equipment is not brand new, but since it is clean and comfy, it does not really matter. We explored the nature around the hotel (ate a lot of blueberries and wild strawberries) and visited the nearby zoo and the family park in Altenberg. I also recommend visiting the bobsleigh track at the end of the valley — it is very interesting to see.
The hotel restaurant feels funky at first (you need to order via a kiosk) but the staff were super friendly and the food was great too. We'll consider this for a longer stay the next time an opportunity comes as the sauna and whirlpool looked tempting to.
