Unfortunately, I can not recommend this hotel, because today I was insulted on the worst and expelled from the property (driven down). Unfortunately, the official hiking trail to the Rosstrappe now leads through there. Since some hiking trails are closed there, you first have to orient yourself. What the hotel owner does not like. So it came to the fact that he sold out in tone and insulted us to the utmost. So you have to ask yourself questions at this point. "How does he deal with his hotel guests". He did not keep the minimum distance and he did not wear a mask.

The biggest fallout. 600 euros for such rooms, it's just a sourness.
After 10 p. M. The restaurant closes, then the rest of the people gather in front of house 2, the actual hotel.
You can't open a window until about midnight, there's a lot of talk and laughter outside. Nobody cares.
The room is small and noisy, very economical furnished, no comfort or extras, like that of a 3! star hotel would expect.
The Internet is a disaster. In our room we had no reception at all, and if so, it was so bad that LTE worked much better.
That was the first and last time we were here. 600 Euros for something like that is real usury and money-cutting.
If I want to have it loud around the clock, I go to the ballermsnn and not to the Harz.

Great atmosphere, with fireplaces in dignified furniture. Balanced breakfast buffet, delicious cakes and tasty dishes. I'm thrilled. Friendly and cordial service. Beautiful views and clean rooms.

Very unfriendly staff. We wanted to go directly to the Rosstrappe to enjoy the view. But there are no toilets there. So we stopped at this hospitality to ask if we could use it and if we could sit down already. (it was 2 before 12, at 12 was opened) First, we got the answer, "We're not a public toilet! We have not yet opened, leave the restaurant! " In a rather loud extremely unfriendly tone.
So that's not possible! In a different tone, we wouldn't have been so incensed. We understand working hours and would have paid 3€ for the toilet, but I don't give such "friendly staff" a single penny.

Beautiful quiet hotel, clean and tidy. Very nice staff. Kitchen good bourgeois. The beer garden is really beautiful. Buses run in the immediate vicinity, but rarely on weekends. Car is an advantage.
Yes, there is the chairlift in the immediate vicinity — if you can ride with something like that! Since I'm not (at all) dizzy, it was hell for me.

I slept here and also tested the restaurant. I was completely satisfied with both, because I felt comfortable.
The room was tidy and served its purpose. The only drawback was that you couldn't darken the windows properly, but since we got up relatively early, we went. The breakfast was varied, so there is something for everyone to find. I just didn't like the orange juice. Then I held on to Maracuja.
Once we also had dinner in the restaurant in the evening. The staff are very friendly and busy. The food tasted very good. The prices are above average, but that's the way it is at such a famous destination.

Good hotel and restaurant with beautiful views of Thale and the surrounding area. The service is very nice, the waiting time criticized by many we cannot confirm. The room was clean, stylishly furnished and atmospheric. Unfortunately, the kitchen does not quite live up to the desired upscale ambience and the high-priced menu. Have waited 40 minutes for first service. And another 45 minutes until the food came. No system of operation. Nichz to recommend.

The food is very good. The toilets are too cold. In the front very comfortable area through the stove, unfortunately, it smells very often after chlorine. The rear gastronomy area is bright, friendly and quite nicely decorated but also too cold. Especially since the entrance has been moved backwards due to construction work.

A good and sufficient offer of drinks and food, friendly service, a good place to relax, we liked it well.

The service from the beer garden is not at all! We arrived exhausted and thirsty from walking there and just wanted to have a drink. The tables were not all occupied and three waitresses did not heed us, nor served. A woman was still reproved because she took a drink card.
After half an hour of ignorance, we left. What a pity.

Possibly the worst restaurant experience I have ever dealt with in my life. There was some kind of renovation happening with the hotel. The workers decided to set up their equipment in the middle of the outdoor seating area where we were all trying to enjoy lunch. Besides the safety aspect the noise was horrible. They were cutting metal pipes and everyone was really shocked and distressed by the high pitch noise. When we asked the waiter why they are doing it in the middle of the restaurant she rudely shrugged her shoulders and said they need to work. We asked why they simply could not set up their work around the corner, she rolled her eyes and walked off. It makes no sense? They are trying to run a hotel and restaurant business and they have no regards for the customers. Meals were also really terrible and very over priced. Avoid!

We were there yesterday to warm up. A cup of tea and coffee has become a lunch. Both dishes the trout miller and the wild goulash were top. The salad to the trout fresh and tastefully not to top everything. I was particularly thrilled that the trout had already been de-burly. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

A fantastic location for our dream wedding. From the look, the service, the food, the location, the decoration up to a wonderful fireworks display at the end everything has changed. The agreements with wife Sahai were always smoothly and quickly and it was fully implemented according to our wishes.
Our guests felt very comfortable in the hotel rooms and were excited by this great celebration. We are already looking forward to the remaining renovations, as already implemented things make this House just more beautiful.
At the latest we return to the 1st wedding anniversary!

Was the bike to stay at the Berghotel Rosstrappe. From there made beautiful tours. Could wash my bike after the tour and have it then put in the garage. Great service and good food. Unforgettable hours in the evening at the stove — to a newspaper and a relaxing drink. Happy to be back.

The restaurant is totally overpriced as some Wiener with bread 6.95 EUR cost. Staff totally overwhelmed on the terrace on a sunny day. Only the views we have left positive memories.

Very friendly staff and perfect location. We have felt very much at home. The dinner was but too expensive for me.

Excellent location, dignified, cosy rooms and an excellent cuisine.

We have from the first Minute felt very comfortable. The welcome was very warm, the staff was throughout the entire stay at very friendly and the food was also very vorztüglich. The rooms were clean and the standard set up and I slept very well. The view from the terrace is also a Highlight of our stay at was rundherrum very successful, we surely will be repeated. To the good sides of the hotel. 1. The Hotel is at the summit located and has a great view 2. The staff is friendly. 3. Cable car directly at the Hotel (price ok with 4 adults € or 2 € for children) or Combi Ticket 4. The rooms are clean and big enough 5. Price the Hotel is ok Now to the bad sites. 1. The mattresses are extremely hard. Had even days after Rückschmerzen. 2. The food in the Hotel is extremely overpriced and leaves much to be desired. For my part, I have never felt so bad in a Hotel eaten. A steak I could with 12 already prepare… even the fries are unsuccessful. The Berghotel Rosstrappe is perfectly guided, man feels from the first Moment on. Cleanliness, friendliness and cuisine are top. Very quiet house with good facilities. For a 3 star Hotel there was nothing to mekkern. At the time of booking it was me mainly to be close to this historical place. This was important to me and for Hiking the Hotel is highly recommended. Who is more on comfort, the is here to its limits. Restaurant was tip top, since it is a culinary fully at its expense. Only service personnel should be in dots activities in the valley to be trained: the way is in The Village of Thale from the chair lift Ross bustard to the gondolas, the Hexentanzplatz boot is not even a Minute and is, in our opinion, highly recommended. The 9, 50 Euro for 4 trips with Start and end point back to the Ross bustard are as well created. All around it was a very nice weekend.

Very nicely located Hotel with a very good cuisine and very freuntlichem staff. The beer garden is a great panoramic view of the Harz mountains. The rooms are lovingly equipped. You can calm Conscience further to recommend.

We have this Hotel because of the quiet and somewhat remote location selected and have not been disappointed. The Hotel is in fact very quiet, you see no traffic and immediately have access to various Hiking trails. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and modern equipped. The Restaurant has very good food and the Breakfast is plentiful. Since I have a guest from the USA, and am therefore not have an account with a German Bank have, it would be for me very well, if the Hotel accept credit cards would. Then I would have not so much cash have, and in the United States, credit cards have a better exchange rate than umgetauschtes cash. Also, it would be great if Wi-Fi (against additional payment) will be offered again. All in all we were very satisfied and will definitely be back staying there.
