Was here 2 times for a birthday party. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food is top and drinks are there quickly. There is a small car park directly at the hotel or a large one opposite.

We were having lunch and drinking coffee in Luther room. The service was very friendly, very accommodating, always on the spot and just a dream. The food was very tasty and also the cake tasted to all guests.

Again and again a recommendation for a nice meal in cozy surroundings. The cuisine is known for its excellent quality and also maintains this standard. Here the guest always feels warmly welcome and is served courteously. The staff is very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. When I am asked about a well-kept location, the Black Bear is certainly there.

15 minute walk from the train station. Good size rooms, small bathroom, nice breakfast buffet, old but charming and well maintained. U can walk to all downtown restaurants.

Friendly Welcome. Rooms very clean but unfortunately without Air Conditioning. At Temperatures around 27 ' quite warm in the Room. There are 3 Room Categories that differ in size and price. I had booked Category 2. The Room is equipped with a Single et, a Couch, Desk Television. The Size for a Person is sufficient. The Bathroom is a little small. If you stand in front of the Sink You have to leave the Door open otherwise it is too narrow.
I was Absolutely thrilled with the Breakfast Buffet. All fresh, Scrambled Eggs not produced from the Pack but from fresh Eggs. Fresh Fruit in a wide Variety. REICHLICHE Sausage and Cheese selection. Pastries etc. Usw. For me, a clear Recommendation. I pull off a Star because of the small Bath.

The food tasted good, even if the condition wasn't perfect.

Historic house with tasteful Flair, beautiful rooms with excellent mattresses, attentive, courteous staff, excellent cuisine and fine wines. We will come back.

Traditional house in the centre. Rooms rustic and clean. Breakfast buffet just great!

War nur essen. Service war nicht sonderlich schnell, aber war auch nur eine Bedienung für ca 20 Leute. Ich war am Ende des Vier-Gänge Menus leider nicht satt amk.

This hotel has stayed in the 70-80 years. Not my taste.
I prefer modern, bright, comfortable hotels. But even older people who radiate a certain charm are great!

Historical Place, many large Meeting rooms. Hotel rooms are all quite different. Restaurant in Site. International buffet breakfast. Free Parking.

Nice hotel in old style. Spacious. Should be of interest to bikers, as the hotel has a handful of garages next to the parking spaces. I was able to put my bike there safely and dry. The location is central and a few km from the A4 exit. I enjoyed the ambiance and the tranquility there.

I was an attendee for a business training for a whole day. We enjoyed a very good service and professional and friendly service employees. All wishes were solved flexible and fast. The lunch was absolutely delicious. Thanks to the team.

Without question one of the best addresses in Jena to good food, good hands to feel or to drink a coffee in a cozy armchair in the lobby.

Across the Hotel there is nothing we can say but the Restaurant is top. The food is top-notch and the service very friendly. We will in all cases continue to recommend.

Traditional hotel in the heart of Jena, large and spacious rooms, albeit a little old-fashioned. Otherwise, good and friendly Service and nothing to complain about.

About the hotel I can not say anything, but the Restaurant and especially the Service are really great. Very friendly, courteous, competent service. The food was very tasty and the décor seems a bit grandly. The prices are for all of them, very moderate. We would love to come back.

Even the cleaning lady of the year may not make much. 500 years of back and forth, a renovation is urgently needed. Spotted sofas, close baths, and and and. There is a certain charm here, but it must find and many to make compromises.

From the hotel to the centre but still the story was expecting more. Disliked: the Breakfast is rather weak (not hot), the rooms poorly cleaned (only bed recovered and all), the signal is weak wi fi Internet is slow. If a hotel only for sleeping-we'll go, but IBIS will not be worse.
