I was in this hotel but in breakfast they don't have black tea. Unbelievable this is a 4star hotel Gym has only running machine, you can't call it fitness room.

Good hotel. Clean rooms, nice people, good bar. Slightly secluded from the center. But you get a free ticket and so it's nice.

I think the hotel is very good. Internet connection is uncomplicated, the rooms are spacious and equipped with modern TV as well as a small refrigerator. The connection to public transport is convenient as well as free of charge their use throughout the city. The breakfast buffet is varied enough and staff is very pleasant. Oh yes, there is still a parking garage under the hotel, so that your car stays dry and clean under all weather. Currently this hotel is my favorite in Jena in this price segment.

For the fact that it should be 4 stars, I didn't notice much of it in 3 weeks stay! The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, just like the service around the breakfast, evening bar & also the room cleaning. After 20 years, the four-star rooms & the 4-star rooms were to be reinvested, among other things, renovated and some things were to be restored. And pay more attention to cleanliness. For once a night or two nights to stay okay but not 4 stars, in my opinion. Staff should also be better trained. Breakfast is very much in the process of being improved.

I went unregistered spontaneously in the evening after a long Service trip and got a Room without any problems. Simple and cozy Hotel, nice Staff. Breakfast was good. WI-FI was free and fast. Small TV in the Room, no Refrigerator.

Staff courteous, food good and "mal" something else. Toilets clean.

A very nice hotel! The staff really nice and helpful! The room was clean and nicely decorated! The only thing I would have was the shower! There was only one hand shower! The breakfast was top, plenty of choice and fresh! Thanks for the nice stay!

Decent but nothing special. Hotel carpets look like they urgently need changing. There’s also an unpleasant smell here that I can’t quite put my finger on. Complementary breakfast is above par. Note: the drinks in the fridge in your room are not complementary — you’ll get charged on check out. I made this mistake. To be fair though, it was indicated on a pamphlet placed in my room. I just missed it. Overall it’s just alright.

Good hotel. Always important for me: a Fittnes room and/or sauna. Both are available here. Fitness free, sauna (even with infusion) 5€. Room and breakfast also good. Happy to return.

The sauna in your hotel is absolutely top! A very friendly operator with a sense of humour, an unexpectedly appealing ambiance decorated with a lot of love.
Perfect to be pampered. You don't want to miss a sauna, massages and various events in a relaxed environment. We will arches the hotel absolutely further.

Four stars for the slow, unreliable internet and very expensive restaurant. Beautiful look though and the free transportation ticket gets that fifth star back.

Very nice place but be careful when they Polish the floors! They don't do it in parts so you will not see someone polishing the floor and most probably you will find out when you already felt down!

Got some hotels in the area through. M. E. The best value for money. The situation in Jena — Lobeda (Slab-district) is to be reloaded.

I am a frequent guest at the Hotel Maxx and each time impressed by the friendliness and warm atmosphere in this hotel. I would particularly like to highlight the wellness area. The house offers the possibility of sauna and massages. Especially the latter are highly recommended, very professional and in very pleasant ambience. Just right after a long working day or just like that. Non-guests of the hotel can also book this service at any time.

Room clean and facilities OK. Staff friendly But on departure there was a snake. Maybe better if you settle the day before.

Good value hotel with good service. Positive: Guests can use the public transport of Jena free of charge. By tram you are in the centre in 20 minutes.

Quiet place, a bit in the suburbs but served well with tram, clean.

The hotel is very conveniently located. You can reach many things easily and quickly by tram. The hotel itself is very clean. Our room was large, clean and had a walk-in shower. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We will certainly come back once again.

Rooms are clean and well kept, although of course not very topical. View in the back rooms goes into the green. The location is not really central. Staff is friendly, I liked breakfast. Rooms do not have air conditioning. All in all, the price/performance ratio is right. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful.

The hotel located near to a public transportation and also you get free transportation from the hotel, stuff are very nice and helpful, breakfast is the same everyday, room is good and clean, really 3 stars is what the hotel is.

Location is in lobeda west, so near the uni Klinik. The hotel in itself is very stylish and has great interiors. The breakfast is really nice and wide. The staff is super kind and nice and will help you a lot. You get complimentary tickets for local transport. The rooms can be a bit better, but that's my personal opinion.

Noisy room, some kind of low rumbling throughout the night as well. Aircon? Far from the city, but easily reached with free public transport. Great blankets, pillows not so much. No fridge in the room, bottle of water is 4 euro, no bathrobe or slippers. Service and breakfast were good.

Interesting hotel. Something out of the 1950s. Room was quiet, although the walls and floors are very thin so I would imagine it would be hear people in the next room.

The breakfast was perfect. The staff was Vera friendly and the room was clean. Only the beds are a Bit slim.

The service is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the amenities are nice, but there's no AC so the rooms are sweltering and the chef in the restaurant needs to learn how to properly cook a steak (it was either overcooked or still cold and very raw). Hard to get past the heat of the rooms in the summer, even with their wimpy fan and window open it's very hot at night. Makes for poor sleeping.

Nice and friendly place. Breakfast is also nice, rooms a bit small but tidy. Hotel is sometimes overcrowded and for parking place I was charged 10EU per day or else. Defenetly I enjoy whole week stay at this Hotel.

Wonderful restaurant and hotel in the style of 30 years of the USA.

Note garage is not accessible to sports car or slightly lowered cars. For example, M-package or S-line. Price performance i. O. Rooms are very in the years to come. Times should be modernized.

I stayed here numerous times for visits of at least 1 week at a time. I worked for a nearby company. The breakfast alone makes the stay a good deal plus the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is safe and secure. Excellent in suite shower. You get a tram pass for your stay to take you into Jena. This place is nice enough to consider a home away from home. Kaufland's grocery store, the tram stop, and another grocery story, and post office are all within a short walk. Even if the weather is bad, you can stay here without a vehicle.
