Step back in time and thoroughly enjoy the beautiful old hotel and fabulous restaurant. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. We were so impressed. This stunning area has picturesque wineries, Roman ruins and castles as well as the seven sisters dreaming from 3, 600 years ago at Arche Nebra. Absolutely fascinating. It's an excellent hotel and restaurant.

We came out of the opening hours of the kitchen and were still warmly welcomed and rewarded with extremely delicious dishes — like to be back at any time.

All was ok, hotel clean and fresh — big TV is a plus. Staff verry kind and helpful speak English — another plus :)

Very nice hotel, although we only know the restaurant, but we like that a lot and we come there again and again and spontaneously for dinner. We have never pre-ordered a table and even with (big) dog and small child you will find for us a nice place in the very nice beer garden. The dog gets a Napf water, the child wants it (there is no explicit children's card), but also schnitzel with fries are possible for children (they are not on the map at all).
Regional and seasonal dishes are offered, including deer from the Ziegelroda forest.

Perfect service: quick to learn and always here to help. Restaurant chief is from the proffi league.

We were from the sophisticated menu and the excellent taste of the food very impressed. Also, the room we liked very much the hospitality and the ambience is homely and tastefully.

We're certainly not there for the second time. Unmaintained hotel, breakfast deficient, coffee is Plörre. Very nice garden pub, but unkempt, dirty umbrellas. Bicycles on loan, no air pump. Reason "they always come away. " A bike had a plate 3 times. But landscape gorgeous.

The expectation I had of hotels in cities of this size and in price ratio at around €60 was rather below average. Therefore, I was very positively surprised at this hotel: The room was neat and only recently renovated. The staff is friendly and breakfast is extensive. I like to come back.

We stayed four to eat in the restaurant and wait all enthusiastically.
The service was nice and friendly and you can eat in a cosy atmosphere.
We have eaten everyone a small salad and a main course and are all waiting very enthusiastically. Special requests would also be addressed directly.

We were at the hotel via a WE in October 2015 and ate at the restaurant every night.
The rooms were beautifully furnished and clean.
The food was outstanding, service also very nice.
At any time, you like to be back.
Absolute recommendation.
Price performance unbeatable.

Nice restaurant with good food and nice service in the wine growing region Saale-Unstrut directly in Freyburg.

We had a delicious meal here. I ordered the lamb extra rare and it was tender and tasty. The homemade sorbet was delicious. Everything else was also top notch. And friendly, efficient service. And of course delicious wine.

We were rudely turned around, although there were several free tables — apparently the lady running the place was too busy for our business and the chef couldn't find a second to respond "good evening" when he saw us. Won't try again.

All, provided we are people with a very great love of excellent food and delicious wines! More by accident we came on a visit to the Burgenland in the Unstrut valley, one of the few open Restaurants, we found. Surprisingly diverse and unusual card, a tasteful ambiance. The quality of the prepared food is unusually good for a incredible price/performance ratio! Here we came on the second day of our visit to the Frey castle and got a big meal ahead of the other, we'll be back for sure! Keep it up!

Good and fast service, very excellent kitchen and top hotel! All in all, great!

Fast and friendly service (finally again a specialist beyond Aushilfstkraftfluktuation), nice setting with beautiful Hinterhofnische, seasonal small selection of entrees, but a fine, original selection with affordable prices (11.14 €). Overall, highly recommended.
