The staff is super friendly, breakfast and dinner very tasty. Beds are very pleasant.

Wir haben im waldhotel Auszeit (ehemals Brockenbäcker) 3 Nächte verbracht und es war ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt. Ich muss dazu sagen, dass ich mich persönlich in der Gegend ganz gut auskenne. Trotzdem gab mir das Rezeptionspersonal wunderbar Auskunft, über mögliche Unternehmungen im Umkreis. Hinter dem Hotel starten auch die Loipen, sowie sehr schöne Wanderwege. Im Hotel waren stets aktuelle Aushänge über die Zustände der Loipen im Umkreis. Leider hatten wir damit kein Glück (nicht genug Schnee) und haben eben auf Langlauf verzichtet und sind zu Fuß los. Die Zimmer waren sauber, sehr gemütlich und einfach passend zur Gegend eingerichtet. Man hat die Möglichkeit im Hotel dann auch zu Abend zu essen, jedoch auf Voranmeldung. Beim Frühstück wurden wir gefragt, ob wir am Abendessen teilnehmen wollen und wir erhielten Information darüber was es gibt. Meist handelte es sich um ein Drei-Gang Menü, wobei zum Hauptgericht immer die Wahl zwischen 3 Essen bestand. Wir nutzten einen Abend die Möglichkeit und konnten sogar vom Buffet wählen. Es hat wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt und die Auswahl konnte sich sehen lassen, über warme Speisen und kalte Platte und eine wirklich gute Käseauswahl. Die Weine zum Essen waren ebenfalls 1a. Ebenso positiv kann ich mich auch zum Frühstück äußern, wunderbar frisch. Original Brockenbäcker Brötchen, fand ich als Kenner der Region klasse. Und die Auswahl reichte von Wurst, über Käse, bis hin zu Marmelade und Nutella.

Pleasant atmosphere, cake selection is top. 5, 6 different varieties and absolutely delicious. Most of all, huge pieces. Service very nice.

After a first great experience last year, we spent a long weekend with other 3 young couples (in total 8 people) again this year (February 2017) and I have to say it is one of the best accommodations where I have ever stayed. The house is a completely new wooden house, fully equipped with a very high quality. Three cosy bedrooms and two elegant bathrooms with a huge open kitchen-living room! Simply amazing! The owners even helped us to have an incredibly great weekend! Actually the house is close to the forest and right there you can start your ski walks! Simply perfect!

We stayed for a weekend in this beautiful and family hotel and have been completely satisfied!
The service was great and the rooms good. The breakfast as a buffet is varied, great served and delicious!
The location we wanted on the Wurmberg, is as an alternative to brown position really good:)
Also the restaurant is recommended! A three course menu has cost €16. So it is even very inexpensive! There is also a map where individual courts can be selected.
And yes, the hotel is like to see in the photos, not the most modern and noble! But from our point of view, that would not fit the area either. This accommodation attracts the style and thus has an absolutely class charm!

A very quiet, cosy, family hotel with attention to detail and a one-way bakery, right on the forest with many hiking trails, ski rental, cross-country ski runs and sledding in winter. Frühstrück, cafe and evening restaurant are unsurpassable delicious and a top sauna in the basement. We enjoyed the days very much and come back!

Here the boss is still serving herself! Family business with a rustic hotel. Warm, cosy rooms. Rustic doesn't mean cheesy here. The kitchen is terrific with over manageable food offer. A perfect place to go on holiday. From here you can easily reach a whole lot of impressive sights.

We had a stay over two nights with breakfast and could still order dinner on your own request. From the menu, only Eizelgerichte could be selected and our granddaughter was given the pasta she wanted with tomato sauce: 0).
Also for breakfast, every wish was fulfilled and for Sunday there was a smooth "little Red Riding Hood" extra.
A very nice house with nice location and good food.
