➜ Food in the restaurant was very tasty, courteous, and reasonable wait time. Without order there is nothing, however, and you can only in the evening, no lunch table.
➜ We know (knew) the "lumberjack" and his crew for almost 18 years and were always satisfied. We now learned about the new owner and were curious to see if much has changed. So the path led us on 28th 12 2017, the first night of our stay in Schierke, in said restaurant. Hardly had we opened the door, we already saw what awaited us. The restaurant was completely occupied until the last place. The very nice service (for us also new), made us no hope. After a few minutes still plan B. We took a seat, at a table that was actually reserved, and actually managed to finish our little meal before the reservation guests arrived. Master performance of the operation! And again thank you for that. The next evening (with reservation), the complete program. Super Delicious prepared lumberjack steak in lush quantity for a normal, rather small price of about 13, €0. In addition, fresh Hasseröder beer from Wernigerode, more no man needs. We find that the change of ownership has been successful because we hardly felt any difference.
Unfortunately, some decorations have disappeared, to which we had personal reference. For example, the carved owl of Grandpa Mehner, or the old lumberjack paintings. Perhaps you still remember and find the old wooden benches and tables that always stood outside, which would be absent in the summer.

We were there with two young children and were greeted very nicely. The food was delicious and the service top. We would love to come back.
