Reviews of a&o Hamburg City
We spent 2 nights there after a deal bought online. The rooms are not clean and the floor/different common areas are also really bad. The bathroom was not properly cleaned and the floor neither. Even for a low budget room (not so low btw) the minimum we can expect in Germany is not there at all. Seriously, vacuum cleaning the floor is a minimum and cleaning properly the toilet even more (hygiene is a big deal). There was food on the floor when we arrived … this is just not acceptable anywhere in Germany. No idea how this can fulfill all the German standard and evaluation. The noise and the surrounding are also bad, isolation of the room are awful, it smelled like weed in our room and a lot of noise in the middle of the night. Breakfast was ok, but for the price you could have better anywhere else. Never again.
Very good hostel, I would even say the hotel is very big.
Not what I expected from the hotel. There is no cleaning of the rooms, the house is a well and children shout till night and a dog howled from 7. With an open window not an option, with closed hot. The neighborhood is that. Another one. It's a decent way to go to the station. I bought the price, because the snout in Hamburg oh. Nno expensive. If you want to save money, suffer.
Dirty, not convenient and everything is paid. Of the pluses only a large number of foreigners for communication and cheapness.
Good value rooms, especially when travelling with under 18s. Good location, short walk to local and main train station as well as to town centre. Rooms are clean and towels/bed linen are provided, with free Wi-Fi and TVs. A few minutes walk from a supermarket. Helpful staff who spoke good English. The kitchen is quite small and unequipped (no oven or colander) although there is a fridge, hob, crockery, pans and cutlery.
This was by far one of the worst experiences of traveling with my family. The check in was easy enough, the hallways and elevators are dark and dingy and a bit reminiscent of playing an “end of the world” scenario computer game. The room itself is big enough, we had a family room with bunk beds and a “double” which came apart if anyone pushed against it slightly. The quality of furnishings is cheap and chairs were wobbly, damaged, etc. We had specifically booked with a baby crib which was not in the room when we arrived, I went downstairs to the reception twice and it took 1.5 hours for them to bring a crib. When we set it up, we discovered it was broken, so we went to the reception again to ask for a useable crib. Finally, we went to bed and after 30 min there was a loud knock and another crib was shoved in the room, which also ended up being broken, but at least usable. The windows were badly insulated, so we could hear noise at all hours of the night from other hotel guests and the street. The room was hot and there was no A/C, no ventilators, etc. To top it all off, my husband took a shower the next morning only to find that the towel had some brownish smears on them, which to me looked like feces, to him like dried blood, neither of which should be anywhere on a clean, laundered towel! We only spent the one night there and then checked out early and asked for a refund on the second night we had originally intended to stay there.
If you are in Hamburg and you need a place to sleep, this will do at a fine price. The is nothing luxurious about it, but you have a room and a bed to sleep in. There is a breakfast buffet as well, which gives you some energy until lunch. Again, nothing fancy, but okay for the price. Cleaning could be better and after the maids had been part our room, the soap and waste bag want in the room anymore… There is a roof terrace, which is nice and gives a fine view around the hotel. There is no A/C, so in the summer it might be very hot when you go to sleep. It's close to the U-Bahn, Berliner Tor, which can take you all around Hamburg.
From the location the hotel was not difficult to find, only 5 min from the S-Bahn down the street and already you were there. The employees were also mostly friendly, but the service left much to be desired. The rooms were not bad at first glance, but on closer inspection you notice spots on the sheets or quirks on the furniture. In addition, the corridors are dirty and in the elevators one is afraid to use them because of unpleasant noises. And if you don't want to spend in the vicinity of a wanting ghetto you should do without an overnight stay in this hotel.
Anyone who thinks they can sleep comfortably here has misconceived. Far too many young people drunk who don't care about the night's sleep. Impossible to close an eye without earplugs.
But if you don't like to sleep at night and want to hear people screaming or who loves completely tasteless music in the morning, this is the right place.
Food was good
Location fits.
Not necessarily clean, noisy but does the trick. I don't know how much it cost so I can't tell if it's worth it. Very decent quality for students.
Price/performance is all right! Room and bathroom clean!
Breakfast was enough for us, no rush, since early risers!
Noise was almost no present, we were high up.
No 5 stars from us since the room was not cleaned on arrival and we could not check in until after 17.30.
Nice but not very hygienic and little choice of food.
Room good, bathroom clean and good!
Street noise bearable.
Breakfast fully adequate and at * * * level.
Bar OK, unfortunately the staff is hopelessly overwhelmed!
No draught beer, no cocktails.
Location good!
Overall recommended!
The hostel is very big and unfortunately that's also notable in the service. When checking in we were told it might be possible that the room is not clean yet although we were there at the right time. Luckily it was ready when we arrived and everything seemed clean. But all in all the staff seemed very stressed and not so organized. Furthermore our room was not cleaned during our stay.
Have been here more often, unfortunately we have to find that the quality is subsiding. The rooms are not so clean anymore. The aisles even Filthy. The rest of the night is the Least. Overall it is very noisy. The hotel had better Times.
Very nice hostel, so many services, clean, big rooms and fair prices.
It's ok for one night or two. But the hostel doesn't have any charm. They save costs wherever they can. The prices are not even that cheap, you'll find better places for that money in hamburg. It takes a lot of time to check-in. Nevertheless, staff was friendly and the facilities were clean. I appreciated that we had a separate toilet and separate shower in our 6bed room.
Very large hostel. Breakfast Compared to other A&O hostels, this one of Hamburg for me turned out to be the dirtiest among those I have stayed in. At a U-Bahn stop from the station.
We stayed four nights and they didn't clean or make the beds. We claimed and had good words but nothing more.
Location is good. Rooms are basic. Not cleaned everyday. Towels can be changed everyday. Restaurant did not try. Internet connectivity was good and was included in room rates. Night time was quiet. Reception is always chaotic.
Favorable, but with the appropriate restrictions. Has some of a hostel. Long standing at Breakfast. Long wait at the lift. There are not enough staff at the bar for all drinks. In some cases it could only be paid appropriately. Recommended for Unpretentious.
Very comfortable but very noisy.
Worse stay. Clean room. Stains in Bed. It was not possible to change rooms. Had to redraw my bed myself. Window was leaking had train the next Morning. Heating could not be switched off. The promised TV was as big as my phone. Breakfast was more than skimpy, for the money would rather buy something at the bakery at the Station.
Unfortunately better A&O hotels.
Our room was filthy and in a miserable condition. I didn't even know that duvet covers can have so many stains. We have even found garments from our predecessors on the cupboards. We had booked 7 beds of an 8 bed room. That another person also booked a bed, was not notified to us. Accordingly, the next morning the valuables were missing. There was no goodwill, only bad words. Unfortunately not a pleasant stay.
The room was clean and big. But the TV is very small so is such as you don’t have a TV. The bathroom is very good and the shower is big. They have a billiard, so is a good point for play at night. The breakfast is simple, they have coffee, milk, cereals, toast, eggs, cheese and some meat. The price is 7€, I think is better when they put for 5, but is okey. The problem is at night some people are in the hall, so bar is full and they only have one person, so you wait a lot of time. Has a good convection with subway and s-Bahn. Is only five minutes walking and the station connect with some lines so is really good when you want go to the center. In my opinion is the best part from this hotel.
Pros: cheap, clean, good breakfasts with a large assortment, good location (close to the main station and the center), friendly staff Cons: quite noisy, but the noise "white", road, so sleep strongly does not interfere. Dirty windows, there was a small hole on the sheet.
On the second day (on Saturday) at breakfast instead of juices ran water rather good hearing in numbers, it is possible to wake up because the neighbors insert charging in a socket in the adjoining wall.
Crowded. Because of this, the places are filthy.
The Wi-Fi is not always there. Don't count on him.
At the bottom of the coffee machine are only small cups, too small for this volume of coffee.
And the cherry on the cake: the cleaning lady left our room open! It's definitely not us, because I always check if the door is closed, plus there were traces of cleaning (replaced by toilet paper), carried out already after our departure. There are ads everywhere that leaving expensive things in the rooms is not possible, but not to the same extent that the staff just does not close the room! Luckily, we didn't steal anything, but we had enough adrenaline when we got back and saw the door open.
Summary: Good option to sleep, but never leave something more valuable than cowards, leaving!
Disaster… Rubbish under the beds and between the mattresses, no fresh linens and it was definitely not cleaned. At the bar you can drink only from bottles, as glasses are washed only half-hearted. Even the furniture in the entrance area is damaged and dirty, the building is unfortunately just rancid. Then there are still quite high prices…
Good breakfast. Good cocktails at the Eveningbar. Pool tables are not good. Room quite clean. Bathroom too small. Friendly staff.
If you want to stay close to the centre, you will find a good hotel here. The registration is a bit more tedious to plan. There are all age groups, such as students, families and city travelers.
The breakfast is amazingly versatile. The vending machine coffee is freshly ground and brewed. The SBahn is the best way to arrive.
Unsubscribe is very simple by throwing the chip into a box.
I have stayed at A&O hostels before, so just as they always are, the room was big and clean. There is a lobby and bar downstairs where we can chill out, play games or have a drink. This is also the most affordable hostel chain that I know of. Highly recommended!
Great location. Room was nice and clean except under the bed. There was an odour from the bathroom. The shower was very hard to regulate. We were at the front of the hotel and it was noisy at night with traffic & trains. Very close to train station. Staff were poor. It took us half an hour to check in with only 2 people in the queue in front of us. We waited 15 minutes at the bar one evening for a drink but left for another bar as it was much too long. All the literature about places to see was in german which was no use to us non german speaking tourists. All that said, I would stay here again but would prefer a room at the rear of the hotel if the website gave that option.
This is one of the unique AO hostel in Munich. The place to be if you are new or just visiting Munich and also want to experience Munich's night life. Just Four (4) stops from the Munich Central station (5 minutes) with the street train (Tram) which takes off every Ten minutes.
A normal hostel, you could expect more for the price, even if it is affordable. The staff leaves you wanting and there is not much cleanliness.
Breakfast is quite expensive for what it offers.
The hostel is ok, but it is nothing of the other world for what you pay for (which is not expensive, but there are better hostels for the same price and more central). It is close to public transport and is easily reached, but there are some things to improve… such as cleaning or ventilation.
There are no common bathrooms, so if you're in a room with people you don't know, there's likely to be noise often.
In the bathroom there were bugs of moisture.
Very simple and easy accommodation. For the price it was great. Great restroom in the room, great shower. Very nice breakfast. Very nice coffee.
Without further ado, a clean room and free Wi-Fi. Perfect for people who don't want to spend too much and tour the city.
Super room on the 8th floor! Big and great view!
Top breakfast, great choice … And all fresh and delicious!
Free P + R parking, U — and S — train nearby!
A star deduction for the elevator that requires genuine patience as well as the mattresses that had had their best years and you have noticed every spring.
For the second time, a room had already been booked for two nights at the A & O.
As was the case with the first visit about two years ago, the room was clean with everything that goes with it.
It is not a 4 star bunker and therefore you can not expect 4 star equipment.
I give a star deduction due to lack of in-house parking.
For short trips where you only need a roof over your head and a bed it's great.
We'll be back!
Check In was fine, breakfast also okay.
Rooms for the price quite nice.
At the reception we had a simple question for a service staff who took almost 30 minutes to answer it, unfortunately she was not proficient in the German language.
The room ladies clean the rooms individually and are therefore not cleaned every day!
If you are looking for a cheap place to stay in Hamburg, you can recommend the A & O Hostel City. Good S and subway connections.
Beautiful experience for the Christmas 2017 at the hotel Mariott.
Mies. Really mieser service. The elevator hangs permanently, were allowed into a 4-bed room by moving to only 2 beds and only two towels were ready. It said ' it could be that someone is doing it until the afternoon, because the room is not finished yet ', although she would seemingly have moved us extra to a finished room. Then we come back after over 6 hours and of course nothing happened.
Then we go to the reception and describe the problem, then there is not even an apology, but we were pushed into our hands and we were allowed to move into our own hands. Parking is the next disaster. Value for money not sustainable. All in all after not even 12 hours here, just before turning through. The next time I prefer to sleep in the car.
Just disgusting … In the sink there were still barthaars from the predecessor … The pillows were full of yellow spots … The beds not made by the children. Very loud … The stairwell old and undefensible spots on the carpets. Staff very friendly … But we won't be back, unfortunately.
To a station of the Central Station we will see the location is not bad the only thing that ha is the cleanliness of the room a little dirty for my liking and very basic go there is nothing nothing nothing of anything the guys who take it very nice at all times very attentive and good for having a short vacation isn't bad.
That's all right. The price is consistent with quality.
Great budget accommodation. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious and bathroom livable. Within walking distance of one of the city's main metro lines, it is frequented by groups of boys and families. Even the morning breakfast is fully responsive to the needs of each and every one of us.
At the reception I first found good advice about hotel and surroundings. So from service wonderful. As soon as it went to the room I had to notice the stark opposite. The beds were completely secluded and uncomfortable. The window sill had some stains and in the radiator found itself rubbish. Anyone who was looking for dust was quick to find the cupboards. The seat was probably no longer wiped. All in all not recommended.
It took us way over 45 minutes just to check-in. The line up was massive. After we had finally found our room in this labyrinth we noticed that only one of our two cards was working. Anyway, the room was clean, and big enough for a whole family. Bed was okayish, shower and toilet clean. Breakfast was amazing: very busy, and the staff had trouble keeping up cleaning the breakfast area, but I joined the variety. The location is alright, just two minutes walking distance to "Berliner Tor". When we tried to get our second card fixed, the line up for check-in was still way to busy.
The family room was very good and clean. Only my daughter bed was not ready, but it is not a problem if I spend 3 min for doing together with my wife. Location and breakfast were good. The only bad thing there is the noise from outside. It is good that I don't mind anything when I sleep, but my husband had to use those things for ears (you get them for free on the reception), and my daughter (6 year old) could also sleep good without anything. It is actually how you are used to sleeping when it is noisy. If you sleep with opened or closed window, it is actually the same. But you can at least make it enough dark. So if you mind the noise, take a room in the middle, where you look in other windows instead of on the streets. Check in was not bad also. It took us 20 min around. For parking I paid something like 8 EUR until 20:00 Friday, because from 20:00 and the whole weekend it is free, which meant a lot to me. It is nice that we played billiard (5 EUR for an hours), ate pizza in the bar, there was a small part for kids…
There is ALWAYS a LONG line at the reception! The rooms are not more than OK, and the laundry service is unnecessary expensive. The location is not ideal (around 15min walk to the central station, and 20min bus drive to the nightlife), and there is no free parking in the radius of less than 5 min walk. But, the staff was really nice and helpful, the bar is cheap and convenient, and there is A LOT of people in the lobby all the time, so I do recommend it for solo travelers. In addition, the Wi-Fi was very fast and convenient in the rooms and lobby.
The rooms were decent. The hallways need an upgrade/deep cleaning, The rooftop space was lovely. What a great view and sweet spot to end the day. The breakfasts were good. The service at the front desk was painfully slow and there were not enough people to properly serve both the canteen/bar and the registration. The whole wearing a wrist band during your stay is ridiculous — — we refused and in the end no one check at breakfast anyway.
Large hotel hostel however very confusing with sign postings, not offered breakfast and not told that kitchen was under refurbishment. As a traveller this can become very costly when eating out everyday. The hostel did not even offer free hot water for say packet noodles, instead at a charge of 1.50… and we're told to just go to the supermarket after wandering round the building endlessly trying to find the kitchen. Guests should be made aware of this before booking as this was a reason for staying here, and then it should be signposted / told about on check in. Washing machine does have own detergent and bar area looks nice if it wasn't so busy with people loitering. Also room looks clean good size. But yes the kitchen really ruined our stay.
Good location but bad windows. The feeling of sleeping on the roadway. Just napped, barely slept. If you come for a drink and take a walk, it is normal. And since the trip was a business-in the morning is not very.
Lived there for one two-week period, I went to greet and lodged in a double room, because while I just didn't like it. Just do not have the tourist tax for the city, because I said that the study on language courses. In short, a very loyal staff. But here's the kettle in the room awfully lacked.
The registration was complicated and took long, the staff was unfriendly and annoyed. You had to pay more than was agreed. The hostel was too big and too cluttered, the rooms were dirty. There was also a double bed where other people had to sleep together in bed in a 8-bed room. The bed linen had to be paid €3 per night. Overall, the hostel is not recommended, because there are other, better, nicer and cheaper hostels with a better location.
Staff friendly and multilingual lobby had a great charm but the room dirty Windows dirty and the bed 3 and 4 had himself covered pillow, etc. And the cover had stains and was also filthy.
Simple and simply held. While the course long and not particularly invite are, the rooms are big, bright and friendly. The staff seems friendly and helpful, the breakfast is simple but quite extensive. I would come back here. The situation in the city is really good, the underground station Berliner Tor is located only a few minutes walk and you have a good connection to the city and the most important sights.
Friendly personal, clean rooms (defect TV-Transmitter), price ok. Near to the station, enough parking space in the surrounding. Breakfast very simple but cheap. In the evening pls. 1 more person for the bar in the lobby. Was not my first time there and not my last.
Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Samstag abend hat in der Lobby eine Kraft gefehlt, die Unrat und leere Flaschen und Gläser weg räumt. Sonst alles bestens. Gerne wieder.
So I had this week final ride in the A & O Hostel Hamburg city and the hostel is perfect the staff is super nice and where our broken shower head was 5 min later good service came the janitor the A & O hostel is good to recommend.
Silverfish, dust, noise and dirt are the permanent companion here. Even nonexistent expectations be under dripped.
A security with German knowledge of good and evil running to verify whether the Windows are in the middle of the night in the room. Why ever… Fresh air in the fetid and shitting room is too much to ask.
The food is rancid, the rooms also, and the remaining buildings. The employees are at least nice except for the security, which needs a German course and decency.
0 spending on the loved one star but as bathroom and bedroom are separated you can give 1 comfort star.
It was a great decision to book A & O in the city. We were as a family, with an appropriate room there. The car could be parked safely and conveniently on the own Park field (key deposit). From the cheers and excitement we have not much get floor / wing in the 8th, although some loud clubs and classes were present. The breakfast is worth! The room is furnished and clean Klassengerecht. "Real" free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel is up high under the roof. Tip: A & O has advertising campaigns with voucher partners often. Hold then look out and saves "money".
Spacious rooms, simply but tastefully decorated, clean, very nice staff, very good price. On demand water heater, breakfast good and adequate selection, it was quickly filled up, and cleaned the tables again and again — but the breakfast room in the basement is some getting used. Nice bar and panoramic terrace on the floor of 9. It is keen to keep the hotel in shot. So that it looks freshly painted — despite the high number of guests. The hallways and elevators were taken with in the evening as already — but that is normal in size. Rooms on the upper floors quietly. With the Windows closed, we don't hear from the street noise. Except for curtain also blinds to the darkening. I've not heard television and calls from the other room. However, you can hear the steps of first floor. Shower dual sinks small, bathroom of WC separately. Many school classes — what I felt but not annoying. The classes be below housed storeys in the, so I got nothing from you except in the foyer and in the was. 3-minute walk to the S — and u-Bahn. 5 minutes is at the central station and the pedestrian zone. Anyone looking for a simple, clean hotel, that is centrally located and not want to overpay, right in here. I would rate it between a youth from Gerbe of category IV, and a 2-star hotel like the IBIS budget.
This place is just like any other hostel. Nothing crazy special but it is clean and nice.
+ good breakfast buffet, large selection
+ Room measured
-high, shower
-Wi-Fi bad to non-existent
-No leisure facilities (against payment)
-very noisy street next door
-Fehrnsehr very small, quiet
Conclusion: performance ratio price well yet many criticisms.
Sounds road
+ Good breakfast
-Wi-Fi very bad
+ Helpful super
-No Fteizeitmöglichkeiten at the hostel.
We have spent three days in Hamburg as a couple and stayed at the A & O city hotel/hostel. We are certainly no longer book this accommodation.
To the positive aspects first. The room was decorated for a hostel acceptable and it was clean. The bathroom was relatively new and in a clean and proper condition. Also the staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The city was easily accessible by public transport from the Berliner Tor.
Unfortunately it was already.
To the negative aspects.
The hotel gives the impression of a large youth hostel. Totally crowded with kids who passed of course a certain atmosphere of noise (we found but not as bad). The rooms are also very nice.
In the room no window was open and it was very stuffy.
Only small vents were to open, bringing but null. In summer, the climate in the room must be hell. The road noise was unbearable, because the Windows were not sufficiently insulated. The hotel is located on a day and night busy main road. The background noise was hardly an eye close up.
The breakfast room was totally crowded and the staff filling the food totally overwhelmed. The buns were very modest like rubber and the selection. It was all arranged Loveless buffet and it looked like Aldi cheap package and click the plate screwed. Us it was clear that we could expect nothing special for the price, but the buffet was really weak.
Room very small and not clean on arrival unfortunately. The shower was not disconnected, therefore, after showering, the bathroom was flooded.
Very loud due to 3-lane street in front of the rooms and everything very clean. The doors slam too often and loudly.
The cleaning lady has emptied daily only the trash can. The beds have been made at any time.
Breakfast not to be recommended. Had we tried on the first morning. Everything loud, hectic, full as a canteen. If you come too late, one has not even plates or cutlery. Selection from the breakfast was okay, but for €7 can expect much. You must clear his dishes after breakfast and even sort. Lack only that you must rinse again.
I find the location of the hotel very positive. The Berliner Tor station is just around the corner and we could achieve almost everything with the railways what we wanted. Faithfully, the hotel okay, but even for this the motto "only to sleep" was still too expensive. We will no longer come back and we are not very sensitive.
Good place to stay a few days, close to metro and supermarket nearby. Account with billiards, table football and in the downstairs bar, there are food and beverages, so it very full.
The only downside is that this hotel is booked by many school and the noise level is pretty high. And it is a very basic hotel without frills.
Basic but very helpful staff. Ideal for stag parties and large group bookings.
I was there on a school trip for a week and have to say that it was real all right. We had a very spacious 6 room (other rooms by classmates were surprisingly a bit smaller, so lucky). The room was top clean, also shower and bath. SOAP on the sink and even shower gel/shampoo provided there. Our room had 2 bunk beds and a double bed. The double bed was very comfortable, the mattress on the bunk beds were however quite hard and uncomfortable. Only problem was that our room on the courtyard, which at night completely illuminated light was so it was brighter at night in the room as during the day. But after the first night, in which one's awake at 1:30, and thought it was already 7, have accustomed themselves actually. Breakfast was pretty basic, I have however only milk and coffee used, as I took my own Granola. The Abendesswn was pretty underground itself for Hostelstandart and the woman at the buffet could not even explain what sauces there are and if they're vegetarian. But if you bring own food is the hostel really okay and is pretty good.
Location and staff 1A. We were with the whole family there and especially for the children, it was very nice that there is so much room. An extra * there for the experience.
Einzes shortcoming: at check in was very crowded and we had to wait a bit.
At any time.
Been part of a final trip there. Never never again. Not to be recommended. Keyword ban on alcohol in the rooms… (what irony in Hamburg)
For families with small children Yes, but nothing for young people!
PS: your teacher persuaded to go somewhere else! Necessarily. 20.4.16
Hostel is okay, easy to get to, pretty expensive, might go there again. You still need public transport for Reeperbahm and St Pauli.
Sehr sauber. Günstig und gut gelegen. Parkplatz Suche umständlich.
Rooms: the hostel is ok
Breakfast: standard stuff, however, the orange juice is always empty and the dishwasher is just not very thorough. Service: bad. 1 hour+ with a registered group in the lobby waiting. However, there is a star plus for the cleaning ladies very friendly and accommodating
Packed lunch: absolutely no recommendation! The sandwiches are completely soaked
Conclusion: for 1-2 nights you can even bring food to go but I would yourself!
I was already in another A&O Hostel and found it to be super, but what I have found here in Hamburg City, was awful. The room was smelly, the window could not open because they are provided with a lock. Nevertheless, it was not very loud, since the Windows were really tight and the street (3 tracks)
And I had strange hairs on the bed linen. Conclusion: no recommendation!
Okay, right. Was cheap, good location. Room was ok. Breakfast was less than optimal.
Located only 10 minutes from the main train station. A simple inexpensive place to the stay, if there are no further claims. Rooms clean, very far away and very small TV. Evening at bar and reception staff (1 person) is too little, because all the food and drink have to wait.
Provide suitable change coffee machines available and latte macchiato blatantly expensive —.
Rooms very small. Not enough towels. No daily housekeeping, is totally ok. The zimmerabdunklung is not enough when you have his room right next to the neon sign. Breakfast is tasty and sufficient, but a cloth over the table should go more often. The play area would have to be overhauled times. Oh, the door bangs through the zuzieher on each door is very loud and annoying at night. The parking situation, publicly every two hours new ticket leave ziehen. Das car and drive with simply isn't so. Und dem housekeeping sollte man vielleicht mal sagen, das sonntags 11 uhr checkout ist. You were pretty unfriendly shortly before 10, "check out 10 am. Not the point. Staff is super friendly and for a weekend. For holidays we not come again but.
Was completely stupid! the rooms were bad where the doorknobs from the doors fell if one is careful of them moved to the door to shut! Also, the beds were uncomfortable. On both sides of the Hotel is a big street which is very frequented and therefore very loud at any time. In addition, there are on the one hand, a long-distance train journey which is also very loud! But the biggest flaw is the rude staff! Bay it's definitely not!
My friend found the Wi-Fi policies a Bad joke. Except that we found it fully OK because need little comfort.
Hotel and rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet very large selection, delicious and fresh. Would love to come back in the A&O great Service keep it up. From the Hotel in the in the Inner city (city hall), one is in 10-15 Min with the S1 train. The Hotel is very Centrally located, one has several transport links this reaching you very quickly all his desired goals. Thank you for three great days in Hamburg.
Great value for money. It was very clean and tidy. The showers and toilets inside you room were appreciated.
I must say, for a Hostel it has so far been fitted. But what makes me still to a one star review has brought is the below-average Service. But you should have of the employees a bit of sensitivity to expect in dealing with his guests. If you have a group of about 40 men and a few of this group, due to a sporting success, look, what a Sky Bar is quite common. You should not the whole be paid by the group to the Bar point. Just because the employees are inflexible, uncommunicative, and unprofessional to deal with the Situation. For me personally, the whole stay is ruined. But there was still some more points. If the hotel owner should care can I use this also like to run. For me personally, this necklace is completely dead. Have a nice day.
What I liked was the nice staff, really hard, in a good mood and helpful. But very loud to the street, rooms are very Spartan, cleanliness goes so could be more in Detail, such as Windows and pillows under the covers would have time to be Washed, fortunately always own pillow. Breakfast at home was ok. All in all, casual, is very young, and uninhibited. Not for duration but for a couple of days out of suitcase life ok.
Give everyone a second Chance. In this case, this second Chance is also not used. During my booking, stating my Kundenkartennummer smoothly worked out, the Deposit of the credit card number the late arrival secured, started already at the Check-in of the train of thought this "Hotel" in the future to avoid it. 1 hour and 15 minutes check-in deadline on Friday, 23.10. A woman who as a man at the bar had arrived, without stating reasons, says… that no further guests are checked in and on to the next snake is sent, an alleged person in charge of prefer beer taps than to give an answer. An employee of the me in the end at the reception served, and the formalities abwickelte was friendly and knowledgeable but unfortunately completely overloaded. Ridiculous that three security forces, the snake of the guests arranges but only one worked at the check-in. A separation between a Hostel and a Hotel (except the price) is not recognizable. The organization and the personnel to Starktagen as weekends are neither sufficient nor productive. Ask me (via email) to a forgotten charger will not be answered. I was several times in this "Hotel", some with family or even alone. Quality or price/performance ratio are in a constant descent. If I see this again doing? A maximum on the day of masochism.
Großartig. We were quite satifisfied with our stay, did however notice some disturbances in the force at certain areas within the hotel complex, leading to involuntary out-of-body experiences on at least two separate occasions. We also were not quite sure what to make of the hidden floor. Slightly spooky if one is not used to such things.

Not a good experience. It was beyond my expectation. I once lived in best western hotel, the price was almost same as that in a&o hotel. The best western hotel equipped with clean corridor and without smoking smell, a free bottle of water, a water-boiling machine, a very big and comfortable bed, a big TV, a refrigerator, a quiet living place. (sorry I am not doing advertisement for best western hotel). If there is no comparison and difference, I will not complain. But, here, in a&o hotel, the size of the room is ok, but the corridor is full of smoking smell and there are several beds in one room which might be for sharing. But I order the twin room, how it should look like a dormitory. And the TV is as small as my laptop and it does not work! No water inside (even I know the water from the tub is drinkable, how it feel when you get water from the toilet and bathroom? ) and I try to close the window at night, but still noise of shouting is existed (imagine I live in the 8 floor! ) so a disappointed experience. I bought the voucher, but actually I feel like being cheated with the voucher, anyway, I would never buy the voucher offered by the hotel any more.
