Very cuddly hotel right at the main railway station in St. Georg. Very nice staff at the reception and at breakfast. Breakfast (until 12:00! ) is highly recommended. The peace and quiet in the house is to be emphasized. We were partying and wanted to sleep out. This is easily possible, as you don't hear anything at all about the rest of the operation. First-rate. Value for money is unbeatable.

The overnight stay was unfortunately a negative experience. It was very warm. Since the hotel is on a very busy street, you can't leave the window open. Although there is a switch for ventilation, I did not have the function of it, as the walls in the room had no opening (except window and door) for possible ventilation. The night was correspondingly hot and noisy and I had no sleep. There is exactly one toilet bowl and a shower for several floors. In the event of a fire, the room is marked as an emergency exit, although there is no stairs at the window. To jump? from 15m height? The only positive was breakfast. I expect more for the price.

A little gem of a hotel. Warm, friendly and interested staff. Cosy, funny rooms. And great value for money. The perfect hotel for a couple on a romantic getaway. We had two great nights in this little hotel in the center of Hamburg. We had one of the top floor rooms with a balcony. A fun and kitschy room — though as the toilet doesn’t allow for much privacy, perhaps not the best room for a first date… The hotel’s interior design is wonderfully camp and eclectic. It’s an old charming building with a lot of stairs and no elevator. So if you got a bad hip, you should probably request a room on the lower floors. The breakfast buffet has everything you could wish for, including boiled eggs cooked to order. The staff is helpful and will gladly advice you on which sites in beautiful Hamburg you absolutely must visit.

We have never stayed in such a terrible, cheap, worn and asocial Hotel as the Village. We had paid there for 5 Days but after 3 Days have gone off to another Hotel.
Hotel Village is located in a Street where Drug Dealers, Prostitutes and Criminals stay 24 hours a Day. Right next to the Entrance of the Hotel there are about 10 Prostitutes in the evening and at night, opposite are their Pimps and Drug Dealers. The Entrance is only on the first Floor, and the Hotel has NO Elevator.

The Hotel Village same is totally worn out and overpriced, the rooms light courtesy and the Doors of the rooms have below and above 2 Centimeters of Room room, so everyone can hear pieps.
If you stay at the Street Side you have all Night the Noise of Prostitutes, Alcoholics and Junkies. If you Sleep in the Courtyard you have All Night noise and stank from a Deduction filter of a Fryer cd which is open all Night.
The Furniture is old and totally worn out, in bad there is mold and stinks continuously. The Breakfast Room is really Eklig, everyone passes away there because appetite. Breakfast same consists of Finished products from the Discount store, there is also no Kitchen at all, everything is prepared in a small Side Room (2 Square Meters).
The Owner (2 homosexual Men) write positive Reviews under false names in all Rating Portals. They often advertise with their Freshly cooked Breakfast, which is also the former thing fresh.

Unfortunately, the location of the hotel is not attractive.
The staff is friendly, but communication between individual staff does not seem to be optimal. The young man at the reception (apparently responsible for everything) was not even informed about a defect in my room. However, the cleaner knew.
Nevertheless, the employees were very helpful and attentive. For example, one has inquired whether guests already know a little in Hamburg or need directions.
Overall, I found my stay fit for purpose, but I would not repeat it, mainly due to the very suboptimal situation.

A beautiful experience. Friendly check-in, exciting and puffy honeymoon room (for one person: — (a bit out of date with the few or almost not at all available outlets … but overall a beautiful, unfortunately far too short excursion.

Hotel Village has one of the best locations imaginable. It doesn't take 5 minutes from the main train station to the small inconspicuous entrance. My partner and I were impressed by the sudden change in our surroundings, because when you open the door you are gripped by a wonderful flair. However, you can't describe it properly, you have to experience it for yourself. The whole thing is topped by the wonderful, nice and funny staff, you are greeted warmly and first you get told a little story of the house. This is what service is called! Our room brought the probably moved negative point. Unfortunately, it made an unclean or uncultivated impression. At the side of the bed there was an indefinable spot for us, in the closet there was an dusty Santa Claus lamp, the wallpaper detached from the wall in some places and the chairs on our small roof terrace had already seen better days. But still the one night was a nice experience, because the next morning we were awakened with a wonderful breakfast buffet, which did not miss a wish. For a short trip to Hamburg, this hotel is perfect!

Very fair price for 4 people in a (small) room. Minus: Room is a bit worn. There is very loud music in the night outside. Plus: The room has what you need, and plenty of clean towels. The cleaning is good, and extra pillows are available. The staff is super freindly and helpfull! The morning buffet is very good and accomodates most needs and requirements. The placement is very Central. Overall: Would come back if we needed a good and cheap place to stay in Hamburg. Feels like Home :)

The exceptional décor from the past of the House makes this hotel special. The service is very friendly and individual to each guest. Recommendations for restaurants, events, public transport, etc. Are gladly given. The rich and excellent breakfast should also not miss late risers. Definitely a great change in the General hotel landscape.

A super experience in a great hotel with a lot of charm. On recommendation from friends were recently at the hotel village in one of the so-called honeymoon rooms. My friend and I were really impressed with the room, service and the Soooo delicious breakfast. Also the location is very central, from the main station just 2 minutes away and all the sights are within walking distance.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Have stayed there for a short time in double room. 3 stars The hotel really does not deserve!
Sewage pipes looked open in the bathroom, warm water and heating: false indication, a red carpet over crunching and shakying wood dills, shoes you dare not really take off, a 1, 40m bed as a double bed, filthy remote control without battery cover and That for 130 euros from Wednesday to Thursday.
My personal opinion and experience the next day: there is much better to the 4 star hotels, at the Hamburg Harbour for less money!
For us this was the last visit and an experience I like to share.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and the breakfast was very good, the hotel was very comfortable and the service was excellent.

This hotel is just great!
The hotel with a certain something, flair, individuality and attention to detail.
The plush, romantic ambience is both unique and well thought out.
The rooms are lovingly designed and especially the Honeymoon Suites are well equipped.
The box spring beds are super comfortable and good for the back.
The staff, the (room) service very friendly and accommodating!
We felt completely at ease.
We will definitely come back and will recommend this great hotel to everyone!

The hotel is located near the train station, very central. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The rooms are unique, with mirrors on the ceilings and plenty of pomp. If you know that it used to be a famous brothel, that explains something. But you feel at the. Hotel very well.
Shortcoming: As it is located in a shopping street there are bad parking possibilities and these costs per parking meter a lot of money.
But the friendly gentleman at the front desk could help us with a tip.
Unsightly was also a bit of brisk people running in front of the hotel, just in the evening. One has a little need to hold his belongings quite tight.
Conclusion: The hotel was nice, but because of the environment I don't have to go back.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Had booked a room/were not allowed to use it for a day, because another event was planned in this room (during our presence). If Netflix wants to book The whole hotel as a paying customer, it will probably ignore already booked rooms. Commitments were not adhered to and there were rather cheeky answers and excuses than a response due to inconveniences… The manager was of course never to speak… very pity, unfortunately we will never stay there again.

Quaint cosy hotel directly at the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Failed furnishings. Worth a visit!

Outside it goes a bit wild in the evening, but that is probably also at the vicinity of the train station. Visually it is already a little more convenient inside but interesting and breakfast and service keep fully in order.

If you were to create normal Hotelbwertungen, it would be 1 star. You can see it as an experience hotel 5 stars. We found it awesome and would love to come back:-)

Lovely rooms, very nice staff, located in Central Station-close to the hotel. I always like to come here again.

Cosy Hotel. Unfortunately located in the train station district. Always a lot of life in front of the door. But this also makes it easy to reach and to explore the city a good starting point. The staff is very friendly and at the same time family and professional. The rooms are idiosyncratic, according to the history of the house. Everything clean, only partially inhabited.

We were here 17 years ago and found out that it has come a little bit old. The room we had would have to be renovated again. The breakfast was very good and also the staff friendly.

Yes people, that was once a puff, therefore the remarkably plush authentic equipment. We had super nice service. The breakfast room is the purest time travel. Centrally located, some needy direct surroundings, lively city stop. For what you get, the price is reasonable in any case.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect. There is free coffee and tea around the clock and the whole night is someone from the hotel on site. The rooms are large and very nice, the bed comfortable. I'm looking forward to my next visit! "

Friendly staff, however if you want to go out and party I would recommend a different spot… otherwise you need to take the bus or taxi to go to the nightlife, there is nothing near the hotel.

No elevator! Rooms are old fashioned but have spirit of old times and bed is really amazing! But again hotel is tired and there is some smell inside.

Due to a mechanical failure on our flight from the US, we missed our connecting flight from London to Hamburg but were able to be booked on another flight two hours later. Because of this and the way the airline handled the situation, our bags did not end up traveling with us and we had to waste even more time filling out customs forms to have the bags sent from the airport to the hotel. By the time we made it to Hotel Village around 6pm, we learned that, despite making the reservation 6 months in advance, securing the room with a credit card #, our assurance by email to them that we intended to show up, knowing we were travelling over 4, 000 miles by plane which makes it kind of difficult to nail down an exact time we would be showing up, and our attempts to contact them from Heathrow which led to a "your call cannot be completed as dialed" message, they had given our room away just 50 minutes before we arrived. It was "Harley Days" in Hamburg that weekend, and the area was no doubt flooded with people wanting rooms. We arrived by 6pm. What hotel gives your room away by 6pm? They had our credit card # — if we didn't show up they could have still charged us — they wouldn't have lost any money, so that excuse is total bs. This was completely unethical and inappropriate. What made things even worse was that, when I confronted the guy at the desk about what he had done, there was absolutely no apology from him, he only justified his behavior.
