Newly built hotel and excellent facilities. 👌. The restaurant is highly recommended.

This was one of the few places open during Christmas Day, so I stumbled upon this by accident.
The atmosphere was very warm and cozy. The previous days I've had nothing but kebabs and McDonalds (only places open on the holidays…), so I knew it was time for a proper meal. Ordered the four course meal, uploaded translated menu and prices for reference.
I got there right 30 mins before the kitchen opened, but the nice waiter was quick to seat me down and offer me the drink menu. Do get the "andechser spezial hell". This is the wheat beer brewed right at the monastery, by the monks themselves. One of the best beers I've had on my trip.
The 4 course meal was very decadent and delicious. Each dish had its own special flavor. I never thought I'd say I'd enjoy radish ice cream, but it was impeccable. The pork belly was crisp and full of flavor.
Pay no attention to the few bad reviews written in English on Google. You can only imagine what kind of insufferable slobs wrote those behind the keyboard. Place was amazing. It's only a shame I didn't get to try the whole Christmas goose.

The host was super friendly to us and could speak English. We had the veal schnitzel and cold beer from the Kloster which is just a short walk away.

Food overpriced and lacks taste. Lamb's lettuce mushy, salt soup… Wants to be an upscale restaurant, but unfortunately missed the target. The host was also quite condescending. We complained about the stone-dry dumplings to which he said that our children are probably used to Pfanni and that they are fresh dumplings made from raw potatoes. Uh, yes and still they should taste?! The statement would assume that we have never eaten fresh dumplings and only know Pfanni! And on the bill they were still eaten, although not eaten. Will unfortunately not come back. Some of our acquaintances were very impressed before this visit, so we chose this restaurant to spend our 2nd Christmas day.
P S. Our waitress was amazing! Nice, fast and accommodating.

Just steps from the monastery. Very nice room with great kitchen. Very modern amenities.
Being so close to Andechs allowed me to take full advantage of the Brauerei.
Breakfast in morning was also very good. Highly recommend!
