Pension Williams

David and his wife are relaxed fair and helpful, David is witty, chatty and knowledgeable. The rooms in Pension Williams are the most warm pleasant and cosy rooms I have ever stayed in. The rooms are so well insulated from noise you'd think you were in an isolated room with no neighbours. I experienced no noise from other guests above below or to the sides. The breakfast was lovely. David could not do enough for his guests. I would go back in a heartbeat, when I was there others had returned from the previous year. It's an excellent base for the black forest the views are to die for from the rooms.

Just got back from my 7th visit to Pension Williams, the first for my sister in law who came with me. It's brilliant for walking, there are so many well signed routes. The Konus card means that you can travel for free anywhere in the Blackforest so it's easy to hop on a bus or train to visit places of interest. We took a bus up to Mummelsee and walked back, took a trip to Baden Baden to visit the spa, walked down the valley and caught the train back and visited Freiburg on our way back to Basel airport all without worrying about having to buy tickets. Comfortable bed for a good nights sleep, and excellent breakfast to set us up for the day meant we had a brilliant holiday.

Superb B&B, excellent bar and snacks (! ), with greats hosts.
Only negative was having to find evening restaurants, but host is amendable to take-aways being delivered or collected.

This hotel was recommended to me by motorcycle friends due to its proximity to the B500 road in the Black Forest.
The hotel was excellent, really enjoyed my 2 nights here. Really quiet and super comfy beds. Dave & Angela are excellent hosts and make you feel so welcome.

We had a wonderful stay at Pension Williams. David is a very kind and supportive person who will be happy to do what he can to serve any requests you may have. You can easily see and feel that this pension is run with a lot of love to detail and with respect for the environment. The breakfast which was included in our rate offered a more than fair variety given the small amount of rooms available at the pension. I can and want to fully recommend this place for a stay. Also, we had to walk less than 30 minutes to get into the forest and to enjoy a wonderful day hiking through the black forest. Thank you so much!

Perfect stopover pension during the summer. The friendliest host, plenty of parking space, spacious rooms, lovely breakfast. Yes, the interior is somewhat dated, but it adds to the cosiness of it all. Well worth the more than fair price per night.

Absolutely terrific place run by a British couple. The rooms have lovely views, breakfast is plain but tasty and plentiful. Dogs are absolutely more than welcome. There are several good hikes nearby, good restaurants … you will not regret staying there and may have to make it an annual stop!

This weekend we stayed at Pension Williams for the second time because we were so happy with our first stay.
The rooms are big and really clean and have a balcony with great views. You will be received very friendly and dogs are also welcome.
The corona rules are implemented superbly and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.
We felt very comfortable again.

You just feel comfortable!
Breakfast was very good, there was no buffet because of Corana but you could fill out a slip of paper with anything you wanted.
The mattresses were unfortunately a bit through.
Very clean.

Run by a very welcoming couple, good sized, clean rooms with good amenities. Set in a gorgeous village, an excellent base to explore the Black Forest and beyond.
Self service bar is a great idea and the breakfasts are excellent. I would definitely recommend and would happily stay here again.

Lovely place to stay in a picturesque village. Comfortable rooms, good amenities, great couple who own it made us feel very welcome and bent over backwards to ensure we had a great stay. Nice breakfast too! would 100% recommend!
