We stayed 2 nights at the resort. We… that's me (24 years), my son (4 years) and my parents.
I would now like to report on my positive but also negative impressions. The resort was recently refurbished.
You can see that a lot of money was invested. The lobby area, the bar, the breakfast room everything looks very clean and stylishly furnished.
The complex is very spacious and well maintained and invites you to take a walk.
Very convenient is also the small Kahnhafen directly in the plant.
I can only recommend this trip. For 12 euro/person you drive approx. 1 1/2 to 2 H. The boat driver Mr. Sailor is very friendly and knowledgeable, so the ride was also very informative.
We had 1x the standard double Room and 1x the suite with sauna.
Both rooms are very stylishly designed. It is a mix of modern/country house style… The furniture/decorations are all super matched.
I find the size of the rooms completely adequate… My criticisms here would be: > shower head very calcareous
> The toilet bowl had unsightly bottom deposits (this one could be very fast with a toilet stone eg. Remove overnight)
Otherwise the rooms are very well maintained.
In the hallway in front of our room lay carpet, this had quite a lot of stains. But I don't want to comment on this now as a critique that I think especially now at the time of the year you just can't avoid it… to replace this carpet immediately would not be economical.
In the double room The windows are very difficult to open and close. We had room No. 402 and 302.
The staff were always friendly.
The breakfast buffet was very extensive and there were also local specialties. I also find a great idea that you can make waffles in the morning. My point of criticism here is only that in many things the labels are missing…
Since we have travelled with a child, we have noticed the example of a small tower or something missing for children. The facility offers so much space for it, you don't have to do it right next to the rooms and bars.
We went for a walk in the village and unfortunately there was no playground to be found…
Brewery… We were eating 3x in the brewery and unfortunately had to find a few points. The price/performance ratio is not right at all. Curry sausage (200g) with French fries for 14, 90! The schnitzel I can not recommend at all, very thin and dry and also the potato salad was too sour for our taste.
The Pils was delicious and also the lemon lemonade I can recommend.
I find the children eat too expensive: fish sticks with mashed potatoes 7 euro… Very tasty were the potatoes with quark and also the bread time plate… although I do not find the price of 10 euros justified… Unfortunately, in the village itself there are not many other possibilities at the time of the year.
As a tip… I highly recommend the local country baker and Butcher. Also a visit to the mill in Straupitz. The linseed oil is simply the best there. The distance to tropical island is also only 13 minutes by car.
Conclusion: There are some criticisms, but the positive impressions outweigh. We'll come back again.
