Apartments Kolo 77

It’s about 10 mins walking to the tube station, great service to the centre of Berlin. We stayed in July. There is no air con, but there were very few mosquitos so we could leave the windows open. Fridge and coffee machine and toaster are in the room.
Supermarkets are 15 and 20 min walk.
Internet costs 6 euros per week, internet food delivery is available.
Hand towels are provided, larger towels were available on request.

A room like a worker's flat. The decor as from 40 years ago, although I do not know if two beds, a table with chairs, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers can be considered any decor. Beds very creaky, it was impossible to turn sideways at night so as not to wake everyone up. Walls very thin, you could even hear your neighbors taking a bath.
When it comes to cleanliness, a dead bird on the kitchen window sill should be very eloquent on this topic. Besides, it was relatively ok.
Up to 2 am parties in other rooms. Screaming, drunk tenants, running up the stairs, banging on doors and slamming doors. As I suspect, zero staff reaction to such outrageous behavior as it continued the next day.
The "hotel" is located in such an area that it was scary to go down with the dog after dark. The two of us walked for greater safety.
And the icing on the cake. We were with our dog when checking in at the reception. As it turned out later, the lady at the reception desk should charge us an additional fee. Apparently she did not do it, and when checking out, another lady accusingly stated that no one had a clue about our dog. How is it possible when, while going for a walk with him, I met the lady who checked us in? I do not know. Either way, the lady demanded a surcharge for the dog. According to the information on Booking, which we found quickly, it should be 30 euro. We were charged 50 euros! (we were there for two nights which is a very high price. 4 star hotels wish less).

Perfectly fine apartments, good for staying in for a cheap holiday in Berlin. Would be 3 stars if not for the very low price, which earns them a fourth.
Beds were comfortable enough. Foam mattresses and synthetic pillows, which were a little lumpy but not too bad. Towels were a little ragged sometimes, but clean. Bathroom grouting could have done with a scrub, but all clean otherwise.
Nice and warm! Heating seemed to be automatic, and it was very nice to come home to after a day in Berlin in January, usually at 0°c.
Not too far out from the city. Our days began with a 10 minute walk to the station and then a 10-15 minute train journey to get you to the central station.
Not too bad. I'd come back for another low-budget break.
