TLDR: it started off with cleanliness issues (which happens, and can be rectified) but ended with  unjustified rage, gaslighting, verbal harassment and intimidation by property manager to the point of genuine deep discomfort / feeling unsafe.
Context:
I had emailed about the cleanliness of the apartment and requested a vacuum, as I noted all the surfaces were dusty as well as the floor visibly unclean.   Afterwards I wiped the floor and it came up dark. Obviously I was disappointed with the state of thingsMy friends, who booked another apartment at the property for a weekend trip, thus requested I reach out to the property to review and reclean before they arrive as needed, just in case it’s in a similar state of cleanliness to my apartment. I did this, and I also shared in the email my genuine disappointment regarding the upkeep of the apartment compared to how it is advertised (rightly so? ), especially considering my 1 month booked stay and paying a thirty euro early check in fee on top of a 1K deposit.
After this, someone started shouting at my door and immediately upon opening the door, barges in, and dramatically gets on her hands and knees wiping the floor with her hands yelling that I am lying, she kept saying I don't believe you and so I directed her toward the bin with all the dirty wipes she fell silent for a second and then tried to accuse me of smoking indoors? Then she took all the dirty wipes out and took them with her?

A gold chain was missing from my room after it was cleaned. I forgot my gold chain on the table next to my bed and was missing from my room after they came to clean my room. This didn't make me feel very comfortable for the rest of my stay and is especially concerning for a place that advertises a co-working space where people might be bringing expensive computer equipment with them.
On top of the "disappearance" of my valuables, the apartment isn't up to scratch. It should be noted that while technically in Mitte, the area is actually Wedding, one of Berlin's less nice neighborhoods so you won't be getting a true Mitte experience if you stay here. Not knowing much of Berlin before coming, I feel like calling it "Ipartment Berlin Mitte" is a little misleading. The "restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs and trendy shops here" they mention on their website are not close by and the surrounding area is pretty dirty and lifeless for Berlin and not a place I enjoyed walking through. I also believe they lie on the website. They mention "British trend magazine named the quarter Wedding the fourth coolest neighborhood in the world. " I have yet to find any evidence that such a publication exists.
The bedding is very bad. They don't even give you a top sheet, just one pillow with no support and blanket that doesn't even cover the whole bed. The Cookware is subpar. The only pan to cook with is horribly scratched with the non-stick coming off and was also dirty when I arrived.

I am very disappointed in the service received, the location was in a sketchy part of town, so much so that we decided to leave after the first night even if that meant paying for an additional two nights elsewhere, when we had already paid with you.
Additionally, we could not fathom having to stay in a place with no A/C, we had to sleep with the windows open, which wasn’t enough, and endure additional noise. There were no fans available.
The place is pretty since it’s been recently renovated, but that is deceiving and sadly many people will have the same experience as we did. Unfortunately for me, I booked a nonrefundable offer and even though I would love my money back, this is most likely not possible.
I sent this information by email and haven’t heard back from a rep.
FOLLOW UP: I got an email today and got one night refunded as a gesture of goodwill and understanding. This is highly appreciated. Nonetheless, keep in mind the points mentioned in case it is helpful.

Such a lovely apartment—perfect for a short stay. It had everything we needed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. From booking to check-in and check-out, everything was seamless and hassle-free. Great value for money and truly excellent accommodation.

Great experience. But for the amount we pay for staying month having cleaning service every 14 days is questionable. An additional extra fee for one cleaning service of 65 Euro is outrageous.
Other than that it’s a great experience well maintend and great communication via Edyta.

Another money grabbing developer that has put Berliners out of their homes to make 2000EUR a month for a tiny room. Very sad that locals are being priced out of the areas that were so affordable till recently.

AWFUL place … I was left with no one to help me at 1am. When I was essentially locked out of the suite I had booked. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING attitude of the people who were manning the phones — most of who do not even speak English. Expect to be treated like a piece of trash … go there at your peril.

Modern clean flat located in Berlin. The property manager, Edyta, made the stay exceptional. She was so warm and welcoming. We were so thankful for her friendliness and willingness to help us with whatever questions we had. Edyta made our stay memorable and smooth. I can definitely recommend this stay.

It is a modern, clean hotel. It is easy to reach with public transportation. Though it is on the streets, you will not be bothered by any traffic or light during sleeping. The facilities are in prime condition with a compact kitchen. It is a pity that I only stayed one night here. If you spend a few days in Berlin, I strongly recommend to stay here.
