Hotel Rossi

Excellent value for money. The location is great. Breakfast buffet has a good sleection of food. Super friendly staff. The halls and the rooms have a weird feel like bunker walls, but it's easy to clean I guess. No fridge in the room.

-The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help. The service was flexible, making sure all our needs were met. We really appreciated learning about the concept of an Inklusionhotel and will definitely seek out similar places in the future.
-The location is very convenient, just a short 10-minute walk from the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof).
— The rooms were super clean and well-distributed. We took the smallest room type, and we fit comfortably. The space is well distributed with smartly designed storage solutions. As architects we loved the lobby and restaurant space!
— As Spaniards, we loved the food. The breakfast buffet was amazing, offering everything from fresh bread, cheeses, hams, and honey, to eggs with bacon, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Both vegetarians and non-vegetarians will find plenty of options to enjoy.
Highly recommended! We’ll stay here again for sure!

I stayed at Hotel Rossi in Berlin from September 19–22, 2024, as an invited delegate by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. My overall experience was mixed, with both positive and negative aspects. I believe the quality of the experience heavily depends on the staff at reception.
*Positive experiences:
1. The hotel's location is excellent, just a short distance from Berlin Hauptbahnhof, making it convenient for travelers.
2. Most reception staff spoke English fluently, which made communication easy and stress-free.
3. The rooms were clean, and the hotel provided a nice venue for hosting a conference.
*Areas for improvement:
1. The bathroom in my room felt a bit cramped, with the basin located inside the main room. This design made it easy for water to splash onto the floor, creating a potential slip hazard if not careful.
2. The most significant issue arose during check-out. The Humboldt Foundation had informed us that our check-out time would be after lunch at 14:00, instead of the usual 11:00. However, on the day of departure, the receptionist was insistent that we vacate the rooms by 11:00. Many of us had not packed yet, assuming we had until 14:00. This misunderstanding led to an uncomfortable situation.
The receptionist was particularly inflexible and, in my view, unnecessarily rude. Despite the fact that the hotel had many available rooms, he demanded an additional fee for allowing us to check out by 12:30 (not even the expected 14:00).

Cinderblocky but with a pretty terrace and very good breakfast. Wouldn’t want to spend an entire vacation in a room of this size but perfect for a rail layover. I can recommend the restaurant for dinner too.

Extremely friendly staff, great and clean rooms, not in a suoer busy area and still close to the main train station in Berlin. I had a very great experience here and would come again. Thank you to all the hotel staff working there :)

Clean, easy, comfy, modern, not too much traffic near hotel, Wi-Fi signal good … nice buffet breakfast.
Simple, characterless, nothing interesting in immediate neighbourhood.
This hotel is now on my list of 'OK to stay in hotels' for central Berlin. What's unusual?
1. It's a little farther from a transport link than some of the competition (with nothing interesting along the way) — but Hbf is where almost all train journeys into Berlin stop so maybe that makes up for it.
2. There's an 'honesty bar' on the top floor — you take what you want and pay later at reception. It's nice to be 'trusted' by a hotel (unusual, not unique). So no mini-bar/fridge in the rooms.
3. There are plenty of conference rooms available for hire. There are not many business meetings/conferences during the weekend so expect accommodation room rates to be lower at the weekend and higher during the week (Fri-Sat probably less busy than Sun-Mon).
For me it's really down to price: If I'm after a mid-range hotel in Berlin this meets my criteria, on some dates (like when there'a large business group booking) Rossi comes out more expensive than other similar hotels, on others it's less expensive.
If you want to hold a mini-conference the modern meeting rooms here look OK for up to a dozen or so (perhaps a little more) — obviously you'll check available meeting room sizes and hire rates with the hotel.

It looks clean but it is really dirty. I did not post a picture because it is not ok the way we found the toilet.
Worse point: my son forgot his expensive headphone in the room. We saw it, I told him to pick it up but he still forgot it. When I called the hotel in the same day and came to pick it up they said they did not find it but again, it is no doubt that it was there. Update: after my complain and negative reviews the hotel called 2 days later that they found the headset and it is now returned to us, good outcome!

Fantastic 2 night stay at Hotel Rossi. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Yummy extensive breakfast included. Hotel is near main transport and easy to get to centre of Berlin for tourist purposes. Enjoyed a delicious dinner inhouse one night and after 10 min walk, enjoyed an Italian meal the other night. Whilst the room was cosy, it had all we needed for our stay and the price we paid. It was very hot whilst we were in Germany, so maybe a portable fan would be useful. We would highly recommend this hotel and very thankful for the principle that underlines the support of vulnerable children by this hotel chain.

I really liked this hotel. I chose it because I needed to be close to the Berlin Main Station, but I think it's convenient for tourism purposes too. The room was basic, but very well designed. The restaurant / lobby space was light, airy and opens out onto a large street-level terrace on a traffic free area. The people working here are friendly and efficient and the gentleman looking after the breakfast area was the ultimately antidote to any morning grouchiness… he was like a sweet, frothy caffeine-charged coffee personified.

Since I live in a village where it is very quiet, I was worried that it might be too noisy for me — so close to the train station. But the windows insulate the sound very well!
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! I was sick and everyone was very caring.
The food is fantastic!
The only criticism I have: It was very hot and there was no air conditioning. Recommendation: Pack a PC system on the roof and connect an air conditioner.

Central location with direct train station c 10 min walk. Very friendly and accommodating staff with good breakfast and service. Clean rooms, direct connection by bus (about 50 m away). In summary, highly recommended.

Great food, very friendly service and nice, simple rooms. In addition, very central location.

The hotel is close to the main station Berlin and yet in a quiet location. The staff are very helpful and make the stay very pleasant. We would love to come back!
