Honigmond Boutique Hotel

What a treasure! The feel of a lovingly maintained bed and breakfast in an historic building, but the privacy of a hotel. Stephanie was friendly and helpful; I appreciated her efforts to make my stay pleasant. My room was perfectly enchanting with several artistic touches throughout. Very reasonably priced considering the attention to detail that characterised my stay. A wonderful gem in a very convenient location.

Great hotel! I LOVED the location, quiet neighborhood. The hotel and its surroundings have a beautiful charm, you feel like a local.
Pros: loved the design and the atmosphere.
Cons: bed and pillows could be better, to me it wasn’t very comfortable.

I recommend this hotel! Very beautiful, with some vintage vibes. I asked for a specific room and it did not disappoint (two large windows with a view over the streets).
The staff is really nice, and discreet. I arrived late at night and they gave me a code to get the key and instructions to find the room.
It’s also very well located, in a residential area, close from the main metro stations and the city center.
They don’t offer a full breakfast but you can get coffee / tea and a croissant for free, which worked fine for me.
Overall, a perfect stay to visit Berlin!

Reserved and then had to cancel due to testing positive for COVID. I did not ask for a refund but simply to reschedule our stay, and some consideration as we are international travelers so had to schedule another visit to Germany. The management (Andrea) gave such a dirty attitude when we requested to stay on another date. They are very comfortable taking your money for nothing — really unethical and inhuman business behaviour. And you can see it all from their manager, Andrea, who meticulously goes through every negative review and pretentiously argues with clients like a smart aleck — that itself illustrates the narcissist mentality of the hotel.

For those with a sense of beauty and authenticity, this place was such a pleasant discovery. Definitely not the usual boring modern and looking-all-the-same hotel. Checked in quite late but the self check in was flawless, the personnel really kind. Recommended and will definitely come back.

THEY STEAL AND DISRESPECT CUSTOMERS!
I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights while in Berlin for business. Clothes went missing from my room and after 2 days of 'investigation' I heard from the receptionist, who kept shrugging her shoulders and rolling her eyes (the manager, Andrea Grassow refused to talk to me altogether despite my request) that I don't have a proof that those things were ever in my room so there's nothing to talk about. So not only was I called a liar but also the hotel took no responsibility at all and blamed me for not documenting every single thing I brought with me I guess.
Also at the checkout they tried to charge me the second time for the room rate and only after my repeated insisting that the room was paid for already by my company the receptionist finally 'found' the confirmation in their system.
The room was extremely small with a small single bed. I travel a lot for work and I've never stayed in a room that small before. It's an old building too so you hear a lot from the rooms around you and the corridor. They clean and hoover from 7am so not a chance to get a good night sleep.
Overall it was a horrible experience on every level. I was stolen from, disrespected and then they tried to trick me to pay twice for the room. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Without night staff or a daily room cleaning service, the price of 200 per night is ridiculously high. The staff close up and pull a metal shutter down over the reception at 9pm and from then on, there is nobody there apart from the other guests. It looks very hostile and unfriendly. And the rooms are cleaned only every second day. I wiped up some water which spilt on the floor, and the toilet paper was filthy, so it seems their wooden floors are also not washed regularly. The dresser table was also dirty and all the wood is dark so you don't have a chance to see what else. I'm sorry, but what exactly are you charging so much money for?
Unfortunately, since the pandemic, hotels are continually getting away with bumping up their prices while cutting back on staff and services. It's simply not acceptable and a terrible way to do business.
I won't be back.

I love this place… it is quirky, comfortable and so central. Worth the visit… adds richness to a stay in Berlin. The rooms were all different, which added a special charm. The back 'hof' was comfortable and delightful for an afternoon cocktail.

I keep searching for the right hotel in Berlin, so far I cannot seem to find it. This hotel is in some old buildings. The rooms are cute, dated, but functional. The bed was hard, but not as bad as some in Germany. There is no HVAC, so good luck keeping the room hot/cold. It's very loud in the hotel and in the courtyard. Glad I had good sleepbuds. Will not be back.

The room had a very strong unpleasant smell of old stuff (most probably from the old wooden floor and the wooden cupboard/bed)
Felt like they didn't open the windows for ages. The heater was completely off while outside was snowing so I first had to open largely the windows to be able to breathe and then turn on the heater and I hope it will warm up enough to sleep comfortably since I arrived in the late evening.
Location is good, 2 stations away from the main central station. Also from the station to the hotel is only 5 min away while on the way one can find supermarkets and restaurants.
A plus point is the supplies for free tea and coffee in the hall. That is why 5/5 for the service + friendly staff.

Loved the friendly helpful staff whose English was excellent! The hotel itself is so charming with its 18th century decor in the rooms plus the building itself is old. Very easy to walk to restaurants, coffee shops, light rail, Museum Island — great location in east Berlin.
If you don't stay here, you will really miss out on a charming boutique hotel experience. The outdoor garden was lovely and so peaceful to sit out there in the morning with coffee or in the evening. I can't say enough about this wonderful place!

Pros: Fabulous rooms which feel like they could easily belong to a much more expensive hotel, truly delightful little garden. Cons: sound insulation not brilliant so you’ll hear the clatter-bang of cleaners in the morning. Website booking system not intuitive or clear. Overall would still highly recommend.

Our family stayed at the Honigmond Hotel for three nights between Christmas and New Year. The apartment on the third floor was very spacious with two huge bedrooms (1 x large king in one room and 2 x single in the other room) and a large living room with 6 seat dining room table. Kitchen has two hot plates, fridge and eating utensils. Cool interior design based on period features with inviting lobby to enjoy a beer or coffee. Quiet location only a 15 minute walk to the action. Great public transport including tram and train around a 5 minute walk. Staff are friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. Would love to stay there again for longer next time.

Small, cosy hotel in quiet street and neighborhood, 5 min walk from Nordbahnhof S-bahn and trams and 5 min to restaurants in Chausseestrasse. Great classical old style room with very nice décor. A pity that the view to walls and ceiling was somehow hampered by the huge canopy bed that seemed misplaced in a room of this size. Nevertheless, a very comfy bed.
Small, functional bathroom in similar style/décor. Sofa and large desk, perfect for work. Wifi needs new login now and then but otherwise stable. For the comfort of guests: Free use of Nespresso machine by reception and computer/printer. Also a small green outdoor yard. Breakfast served in nearby restaurant was not particularly interesting.

A small hotel with loads of style and character. Modern touches mixed with antiques, wide wooden floors, Oriental carpets, dark textured wallpaper… you get the picture. We stayed in Room 18, which was large, had an antique iron bed, tons of drawer space, a big modern bathroom with a stall shower and windows that opened. It did face the street and with the windows opened you got some early morning noise. There was no heated towel bar in the bathroom… other than that, perfect. Good walkable neighborhood with several very good restaurants nearby. We liked the Rutz wine bar and Petrarca for excellent authentic Italian.
Helpful young women at the front desk, good breakfast spread at the adjoining restaurant and a great housekeeping team. We felt very much at home at the Honigmond.
