Generator Berlin Alexanderplatz

I really enjoyed my stay at Hostel Generator.
The place is clean, modern, and has a relaxed vibe. The rooms are comfortable, and the common areas are nice to hang out in.
Marek and Francesco were really friendly and helpful. They made me feel welcome and were always easy to talk to.
Good location, good atmosphere, and overall a great place to stay.
I’d definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights here. It is at very central location, everything is close by. We had a premium room. It was clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. It was all good. I recommend this hotel.

As a quick holiday — this place was fantastic. The staff were incredibly helpful, the room was nice and I had no issues at all getting to where I needed to go using the great public transport nearby.

There is no air conditioning. Making it even worse only one small window tilts and resulting in not enough air movement through the window to cool the room. Daytime temperatures peaked at 26C which made my room 29C when I arrived. Despite temperatures falling to 9C overnight the room only cooled to 25C. Making it even worse… the passing street cars, traffic and frequent ambulances result in so much noise that sleeping with the window tilted is difficult. So your choices are bake in a quiet room or let the noise completely ruin your sleep. Just horrible!
In addition to the above, the staff are not friendly and clearly unhappy. I get the impression that they all hate their jobs… or is it the management?
We will be putting Premier on our company’s “do not book” list.

Because of the location it can be a good choice — from Alexanderplatz you can easily get anywhere in Berlin.
Staff was a bit all over the place and man, nobody picks up a phone no matter what time of the day you are calling : (
Berlin attracts a. Unique crowd so be sure to experience exactly that within the hotel’s audience.
The rooms are spacious and a level of 4 out of 5 in cleanliness.

Great location, good value for your money. The room is clean, we booked a basic room and it comes with a kettle, hair dryer, no mini fridge. There was an issue with their booking system where the dates on the invoice are shifted by one day compared to the dates entered in website when you do the booking. Something to be mindful of… due to this we had to pay slightly higher fees when we get to the hotel because one of the days are more expensive than the other and receptionist will not waive this even though I explained to them it’s a system issue. Also, room cleaning everyday is not automatically provided, you have to request at the lobby. Overall, I think the hotel is reasonable based on the price.

Great hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights April and had a great stay. The only negative I would have is that bathroom door was very difficult to close, but apart from that everything was really good. We had breakfast on two mornings, it's a little expensive but the food itself was lovely, lots of choice.

Perfect location for a weekend stay. Staff were so friendly and happy! Breakfast bar was well serviced, lots of fresh food and really clean. Our room was clean with lovely fresh good quality linen. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back. Thank you for making our first stay in Berlin such a great one!

My sister injured her leg during our stay in Berlin. Karla and colleagues were so kind. I speak very little German and Karla helped telephone for medical assistance and again for the special assistance needed in the airport on the way home. All staff at reception were really helpful in providing ice for ice packs.
Other points… the rooms were very clean and it was a great central location with transport links to explore Berlin.
The customer service and of all staff I spoke to during our stay (housekeeping, reception staff, bar staff) was excellent. Staff were all so friendly, helpful and efficient.
