1. I got to the hotel room at 3:05 pm. The room wasn't ready. The front desk said the room is still being cleaned. Is this a 4-star hotel or a BnB? Mind you this is off season winter and the hotel claims to have no other room available?! Unbelievably incompetent.
2. My room and it's bathroom had a sewer-like smell. Another review has pointed out the same problem. That means the Hotel knew about this problem yet gave me the same room. Incompetent or racist, we'll never know. I had given up on talking to them at this point.
3. The kettle they gave me had literal scum and dirt inside it. See attached pictures.
4. The walls were dirty! See attached pictures.
5. The room lacked an iron or even a cupboard to store clothes. This is ridiculous for a self proclaimed 4-star hotel.
I do not recommend living at this hotel. I've.
De-roostered this hotel from all corporate bookings for my company. I cannot have my employees staying at this cesspool.
The fact that a hotel can't get a room ready at checkin time during off season tell you everything there is to know about the staff and leadership at this circus of a hotel.
Booked here for our 10 day honeymoon for Berlin with the Christmas Markets and it was amazing. Our flight was delayed but no issues as reception were onsite when we arrived close to midnight as we emailed ahead to check. We were given a room on the 5th floor which was nice but unfortunately it had a horrible strong bad smell, somewhat like sewerage. So we we went to get some bits at a near mini shop (off-licence) and will see if it was still there upon return and it was. I very rarely have ever complained but there was no way we could stay here for 10 days with that so we went back to reception, mentioned the issue and they moved us to 4th floor with no issues or objections and funny enough, this new room had a better view as it looked out to the courtyard and even better. No horrible smell. The room has a mini fridge and safe, the mini fridge came in handy as there's a Lidl about 5-10mins walk away which we visited frequently during our stay. The breakfast is all you can eat for 24 Euro per person and its got everything you would ever want, plus bubbly and cheesecake! We had the breakfast on first day and last, we also tried a couple breakfast places nearby for something different. Staff were friendly and always happy to help with any issues. We picked this hotel as it was close to the train / subway routes that can get us anywhere really and was central for transport to most of the Christmas markets, some of which we even just stumbled upon while out and about.

Great hotel, located centrally. Rooms were clean and they have a good breakfast spread. I booked the suite room which was pretty reasonable price and it was quite spacious and had all the amenities. The lobby hlof the hotel has a great vibe as well. Definitely recommend to anyone travelling for work or family or even with friends.
